As Bradford tried to pull up the records the computer rudely bleeped and displayed ‘Access Denied’ on the screen.

“I will, I am going to head to see the XO now.” Cross said with a nod of his head.”Thank you, Ensign. Let me know how it goes.” He added before turning and heading out.

Emily nodded “I’ll see what I can dig up and fix it so that it can’t happen again.” She said as she turned her attention back to computer system and waited for the computer to give her some information.

Bradford (eng)

As Emily tried to access the information again the computer rudely grunted at her and displayed a screen saver of a gerbil riding a mini bicycle across the screen.

Mother Hen (GM)

Emily reached into the inner workings of the holodeck to pull what appeared to be a damaged relay without really paying attention to anything that was near her.

Bradford (eng)

Following her embarrassing parking attempt on the bridge, Ensign Fran decided that some much needed de-stressing was in order. Her friend Kylie had told her about a new holodeck programme with a stunning beach which she thought sounded pretty good right about now.

As she approached the holosuite she sighed as she saw the young engineer working on the controls. She grumpily put her hands on her hips and shrugged her shoulders, it seemed like nothing was going her way today. She folded her arms and leant against the bulkhead in a sulk, hoping that whatever repairs Emily was doing wouldn’t take too long.

As Emily pulled on the relay, the console in front of her sparked violently. Before she had time to think, the shock threw her across the room, pumping her full of volts and catapulting her through the open doorway into the corridor.

Gasping at the sudden appearance of a woman flying through the air, Fran ran over and peered at Emily as she tapped her comm badge.

=^= Ensign Fran to sickbay, medical emergency in holosuite 6! =^= She squeaked as she started trying to rouse the young woman.

Gong’da was panting when he got there, his little legs were almost too weak to hold him up. He saw the Ensign in the ground with what appeared to be an electric burn on her hands. He fell down next to her to check to see if she was breathing. As he did that he spoke without looking up at the other ensign there. “What happened!” He snapped.

Gong’da CMO

Fran bit her lip nervously, wondering if she’d get the blame for this too. “I…I…don’t know…” she stammered. “I was just standing here and I heard something crackle and she came flying through the door!” she squeaked. “I think she had her hand in here…” Fran went to go and touch the panel Emily had been working on.

Mother Hen (GM)

Gong’da looked up and yelled. “No! Don’t touch that! Get back here! Computer! Use Chief Medical Officer Gong’da code 6328642 to perform emergency shutdown of holodeck 6 and end programs. “

Fran nearly jumped out of her skin as Gong’da shouted at her and sheepishly shuffled back to the corridor, a little embarrassed that she had nearly been stupid enough to suffer the same fate as the poor engineer.

He went back to checking if Emily was breathing and if not he will perform CPR.

Gong’da CMO

OOC: I’ve spoken to Tyra as she’s LOA for a few days and she is happy for me to move this on a little bit.

IC: Emily was breathing but it was erratic, as was her heart beat and if she didn’t get treatment soon she would almost certainly go into cardiac arrest. She also had electrical burns on both hands that would need treating.

Fran nervously watched the doctor work as she anxiously nibbled on a fingernail. “Is she going to be ok?” Fran asked in a concerned voice.

Mother Hen (GM)

Gong’da didn’t look up or say anything as he was counting the beats. Once done he pressed his com badge. =/\= Sickbay. Get a bed ready for one. I am beaming in with her. Start the difibulator and have it ready. Get the creams and bandages ready for electrical burns=/\=

He pressed his chest again. “Maybe” he said to Fran. =/\=Transporter room this is the CMO. Lock on to my signal and beam the three of us directly to sickbay for an emergency. =/\=

Once in sickbay hopefully he and his team got Emily onto a biobed and attached sensors to her, while another crew tended to her burns. Still noticing that her heartbeat was irregular, he grabbed the paddles to the difibulator and yelled “Clear!” Then shocked her chest with a low voltage to get her heart back to normal.

Sighing as he waited to see if it worked he pressed his com badge again. =/\= Security. This is the CMO. I need a guard at holosuite 6 until Engineering can fix it. It’s dangerous to go inside. Engineering! I need someone to fix holosuite 6 before anyone else can get hurt. I have emergency stopped the program and shut it off but don’t know if it worked. I have one of your own in sickbay with severe electrical burns. =/\=

He wiped sweat from his brow.

Gong’da CMO

Emily’s heart fluttered a couple of times but finally settled back into a normal rhythm. Scans showed that the electrocution has left some minor damage to the engineer’s heart that would require surgery to fix.

Mother Hen (GM)

A new engineer appeared. Ensign Yelchin. “I am hearing there is problem with holodeck?” He said in a thick Russian accent. Seeing Emily on the ground, he said “I am also seeing problem on holodeck.”

-NE Yelchin

OOC: I’m just going to move this to another thread as this one is now in sickbay - just amending thread title

Gong’da was happy that her heart was back to normal rhythm but she wasn’t out of the woods just yet. “I need to prep for emergency heart surgery. There are two valves that are damaged. Get everything ready and in 10 minutes we will begin. Start by administrating her a sedation about 100ml and go from there and prep her. “

Gong’da then went to the sink and started washing up for surgery.

Gong’da CMO

Nurse Able nodded and replied, “yes doctor,” as she efficiently began preparing the instruments required for the operation. She quickly administered the sedative and prepared an instrument tray. Getting into her scrubs, she set all the relevant monitoring and returned to Gong’da. “The patient is prepped and ready doctor,” she reported as she placed his gloves on and a mask over his nose and mouth.

Mother Hen

“Thank you nurse Albe.” Gong’da picked up the lazer scalpel and made an insertion into her upper chest where her heart would be and made another one on each end to open the flap. He held the flaps open with the instrument designed to do that and clamped the valve shut that went to the affected area of the heart and began cutting off the dead tissue. Once done he replaced it with parts of a pig heart and umclamped the valve to make sure it worked and the stitches were holding up.

Gong’da CMO

The repair had indeed been successful and Bradford’s heart rate began to fall back into a normal rhythm. The stitches held fine and her blood pressure came back into a normal range.

Mother Hen

Emily remained stable through the rest of the surgery.

Bradford (eng)

The readouts showed that Emily’s heart had been fully repaired and was functioning normally again.

Mother Hen

Two hours later, the engineer started to stir and cracked open an eye trying to figure out what had happened and where she was.

Bradford (eng)

Nurse Able noticed the young engineer beginning to stir and went over to her bedside, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “Take it easy Ensign, you’re going to be sore. Do you remember what happened?” she asked gently as she waved over to Gong’da that his patient was awake.

Mother Hen

Gong’da noticed and came over. “Hello! Please do as she says. You just had open heart surgery. You’re going to be just fine. ” He waved for more sedation. “I want you to rest now and when you wake we’ll talk then. “

Gong’da CMO
OOC: Sorry I’m late! My ship was in trouble and I focused on that and forgot about this one. I’m sorry.
