Sweat glistened from what little light was in the room and for the moment Avalise was happy to just let her body be weak and languid as she enjoyed the afterglow. Gently rolling onto her side she kissed Ashley’s shoulder finding that there were no words. Perhaps they didn’t need them.

Ash let a small moan out as she felt the kiss but didn’t say much. She was happy, and felt sated in the moment. She wasn’t seeking much more, they both just needed a release and they both found each other attractive. What else needed to be said for a moment of bliss. It wasn’t really uncommon for Ash to have friends with benefits like this, women she had chances to make love to but left all emotional ties aside. Some may call it unfulfilling but she seldom had time for romance. Sex though she enjoyed, and if she could find someone she could enjoy hiking with one weekend, then rolling in bed the next, and nothing in between, that was heaven to her.
“See, I told you I could help you release.” she said softly as she brushed back her hair as she leaned in giving a small kiss to her forehead.

“Indeed you did,” Avalise replied with a small grin. “It’s good to know you can keep your promises. Bodes well for after I leave. But for now, I’m content here and I can honestly say I feel for at least a moment I don’t have a care in the galaxy.” And it was true. It wasn’t like she had suddenly forgtten, but at least for the time being she wasn’t fixated on the mystery that was her mother’s death.

“I think we need wine, and I never said I was done with you.” Ashley said as she leaned over and gave her a kiss before getting out, the sheets falling off as she walked over to her drink cabinet.
Coming back she settled in, pouring some glasses. “I am always here, sometimes you just need to work out some frustrations, or need a friend. Nothing wrong with that, and you I feel need a lot of forgetting.”
