~Another ship/station assignment; super~ TJ thought. This was typical of being in R&D. A stint away to experience how the systems are used. ~We design them to be ship/station compatible. That’s why we test them so much.~ This was the frustrating part. At least this time he was coming on his own accord; no court, no relatives.

TJ was told that Magellan was one of the new stations. That would at least make this stint a little easier. He could focus on improvements; not fixing old systems. That was what TJ didn’t like about these assignments. R&D was about improving the systems; not patching up a system that had been improved.

He’d be at Magellan soon. TJ would rather be tinkering back at R&D. But, at least this stay would have some decent places to eat.

The runabout TJ was in finally made it to Magellan. TJ exited the airlock and onto the arrival deck of the station. He wasn’t sure who might be there to meet him. But, he didn’t think that he would need a escort to go where he needed to go.

Along with the throng of people was the usual duty officer who managed the flow of incoming persons, both Starfleet and civilian alike. They basically were there to act like a customs officer and help direct people where needed. As Rivers approached, the ensign gave him a nod. “Got your boarding orders?” she asked with a friendly smile.

“Yeah, I got it.”TJ responded. He handed over the PADD with his orders to report. The procedure was the same on every station. TJ hadn’t been assigned to any before this. But, he still hated the process.

Glancing at the PADD, the ensign nodded and gave it back. “You’ll find the Infirmary on Deck 11, along with the counselling offices (OOC: I don’t think we have an active one at the moment), and Lieutenant Rendana is probably either in Ops on Deck 2, or down in the Power Core Monitoring Centre on Deck 46. Unless she’s working on active repairs of something. You will probably want to inquire with the computer before going on a hunt,” she said with a grin. It was a big station, after all.

((OOC: We do have one now))

TJ nodded. He didn’t always like the cheerful people. Cheerful people could be the most annoying people he could think about. TJ took back the PADD and exited the docking ring.

TJ went to the first console. “Locate the chief of operations.”

“The COO is located in the Power Core Monitoring Centre, Deck 46

TJ made his way down to the designated location. He looked around to see if he could locate the chief.

“Need an spare set of hands?”

Rivers-Eng
