A couple hours later, the pair lay in bed. Ash’s head resting on Kelly’s chest as they watched the stars float by. Kelly stroked the woman’s hair and sighed. “You were so good, Ash… thank you.” Her voice dropped slightly. “I think I needed that…” The Marine closed her eyes hating to admit that part of her existed, the part that had taken charge and ruled the last couple hours with a line fine bordering on rough. And not only that, she had taken it out on her superior. The Marine in her was flabbergasted and ashamed. The woman in her was purring with contentment. “I hope I didn’t hurt you too much…”
“Don’t be, I am a big girl. I push myself every morning, you could be even harder next time.” Ash said with a smile to herself as she kissed Kelly’s neck. Ashley was shocked in many ways what she let happen but she had no regrets. It was chaotic and needed.
Kelly had expected many things. An acceptance of her apology, or even a woman mad she had turned the chairs on the hierarchy dynamic between them. Kelly patted Ash’s back and slid from the bed. “We shouldn’t have done this. ‘I’ shouldn’t have done this…” her voice cracked slightly as she stumbled thru the half lit room looking for her clothes. She hadn’t realized just how out of hand things had gotten till the state of the bed and the lack of a single pile of clothes hit her. “I need to get back to my quarters. I have to do the briefing in the morning.”

((Ash written with permission… M))Sitting up Ash looked at her with a critical eye, the sheet lose around her body. “Look, you have to learn to separate. We didn’t break any regulations, we both wanted… we both needed this” Ash said with a very deep satisfied sigh. “Don’t think on it beyond building comradeship. You took what you needed, and I gladly let you take it from me… cause quite frankly it gave me what I needed.” Ashley said as she looked over the bed, she didn’t have much of her clothing over here as it seemed to have blasted all over the room. Finding at least her panties she reached down from the bed as she grabbed them. Unable to find a bra anywhere her tank though was nearby, reaching far as to not let the sheet fall off her warm skin she slid it over as she got out of the bed.
Walking over to Kelly Ash stopped her from running around, as she wrapped her arms around her from behind and pulled her close into her body. Moving her neck back she let a few soft kisses trail down before stopping to rest her chin on her shoulder. “I make the schedule doll, we will both be there in time. Don’t regret, you were amazing… more than amazing. You said you didn’t want romantic attachment, I’m okay with that but I don’t sleep with people I don’t at least care for. You are amazing Kel and nothing we did is going to change my respect for you, or change our professional arrangement either.” she said softly to her.
Turning her around, Ashley kissed Kelly once more deeper than before, letting the sensation linger before finally letting go of her. “Come on doll, let’s find where the clothes went.”

Kelly patted Ashley’s arms as they went around her. “I know… ” she whispered and sighed.
When Ash turned her around and kissed her, she kissed back but it lacked the hard passion of the night before, despite being sincere. “I think yours are over there,” she pointed to the other side of the bed with a soft smile. “I’m going to go back to my quarters and shower. I’ll meet you at the briefing.” She managed to get her uniform on and tug it down enough to make it look like she’d merely fallen asleep in it. She touched Ash’s arm as she started to leave. “It’s all right… I just need to think is all. But I promise… no regrets.” She touched the woman’s hair and headed for the door to go to her room and freshen up.
