Kate returned her attention to the reporter, who had likely overhead much of the conversation, although that wasn’t a concern of hers at the moment. “Well, you heard the Captain. Do you agree to his conditions?” She raised an expectant eyebrow as she waited for him to make his decision.

Braxton saw the holdup after he finished ushering the last few civilians to their quarters and began walking over to their position.

Simon shrugged, “Well if I want a story, I don’t have much choice.”

“Good answer,” Kate replied, her gentle snicker softening the slight snarkiness of her response. “Let’s go,” she instructed, resisting the urge to take Jacobs’ arm to lead him to operations. Instead, she waited somewhat patiently for him to fall into step with her as they went to find out what was going on.

Chandel watched the SOO escort the reporter off and looked toward the approaching COS.
“Harris, the Captain sent me down to help clear the civilians to quarters or emergency areas. How are the evacs going?” She asked.Chandel CNS
“Exceedingly well Counselor. Promenade is clear. Docking rings are clear.”
