IC: “I had a similar encounter in my office,” Ben said, “Someone sat in the chair at my desk.”

“Thoughts and ideas?” he asked as he placed his steaming coffee mug on the table and took his seat.

Mike waived the immature around to see if there were some sort of anomaly in the room “Come out come out wherever you are” he said with a joke

Lt. Mike Knight (CE)

Ben smiled appreciating Knight’s sense of humour and attempt to lighten the mood.

Kate shook her head at the CE’s antics as a smirk danced across her features. “Each appearance seems to be preceded by a cold spell and an electromagnetic flux,” she reported, reading off what the tricorder had indicated to her and then offering a shrug. “This is so not my area of expertise… any thoughts?” She glanced around the assembled officers hopefully.

“Not exactly my area of expertise either. But if we are seeing consistent fluctuations, we could tune the stations sensors to be alert for them. It would at least give us an idea of where these apparitions are happening on the station.”

Mike smiled “I am sure I can make a program to help with that cuz I forgotten my ouija board and crystal ball at home” he joked as he shut the Immature off and pulled a pad out to start working on the program “what were the Exact readings from the TriCorder and were the reading consistent with each appearance” he asked

Lt. Mike Knight (CE)

Kate nodded her agreement to Foley’s plan. It was a reasonable first step to figuring out what the heck was going on…

“We need to check these occurrences with the station logs. I for one would like to know if we’re dealing with the ghost of Christmas past, present, or future,” Ben sipped his coffee and realised that not everyone would get his reference, “Or in scientific terms, are our ‘visitors’ shadows of has already happened, premonitions of what will be, or some sort of spill-over from a parallel universe?”

-Ben

While they were talking two men just strolled right through the table, and Ben, before exiting out into space, still however, no one actually interacted with the crew assembled around the table.

Kate twitched and flung her hand to her waist again as the men went through the room and the table. She let out an exasperated sigh as she dropped the hand back to her side again. Hopefully the science and the engineering folks would be able to get the warning system in place so that she didn’t feel her adrenaline jump through the roof every time one of the apparitions appeared.

Trent, SOO

Aaron tried not to jump to much. He was a man of science, and they had never proven the existence of ghosts. But whatever these things were, were definitely enough to make him start believing that they could exist.

“I haven’t recognized anyone yet, but it’s hard to say. Were either of you able to get any visual scans that we could upload to the computer? Have them check the Starfleet database to see if it matches anyone?”

LtCmdr Foley - XO
