SNIP

“I’m get a few life signs, can’t tell how many without risk of alerting presence but it’s around four, maybe more. We may need to make our presence known eventually, before we do that I want more detailed scans… if we have to tip or hands might as well do it with as much intel as possible.”

Williams, Marine CO

Kelly nodded and agreed. “Let’s wait if we can. I don’t think the ship will let us get too far out of reach. But we definitely need to not go out blind.” She passed the word, thru whispers, to keep an ear out for voices and noises that may help give them a heads up to their surroundings.

Scans, both technical and physiological, revealed… nothing. They were in boxes. Alone in the dark.

GM Wombat

Kelly soon had whispered responses from everyone. Shaking her head at Williams, she reported. “Negative on additional info. No one else is getting anything. Seems we’re alone in here.”

Part of her wished she was some species capable of reaching beyond the plasteel box to touch every mind within a click… The Marine in her was glad because if she could read others, they usually figured it they were being read. It would give them away. Just be a human Marine, Kelly… It’s what you’re good at. Her mind reassured her and like a good Marine she awaited her next orders

“Stay alert… eyes sharp.” Ash said keeping herself calm and collected as she did. This wasn’t the plan but she would make a new plan.

Aaron was sitting on the edge of his seat on the bridge of the Trinidad. It was only a matter of time.

Now they just have to get close enough to grab the transport, and he was waiting to see if they blink. Hopefully they would see a reaction when the marines sprung the trap.

LtCmdr Foley - XO

Williams, Marine CO

OOC: I may have lost it in a previous thread, but what are the Trojan’s waiting for so I can provide that cue? Right now you are all in boxes in the cargo bay, just waiting. :D

GM Wombat

OOC: No idea. But let’s solve this issue. haha

IC:
“Send the message,” Aaron said as he watched the transport on the viewscreen.

One of the NE’s sent a message to the marines tricorders. The message was just one word.

GO!

LtCmdr. Foley - XO

Kelly nodded to Ash and the spread the single order thru the ranks. She lifted her hand to the container’s inner mechanism that would drop the door for their surprise exit. Soon as her Commanding Officer gave her nod, they would drop the door and step out.

((space for MACO reply))

Kelly stepped from the container, swept sharp left and dropped to her knee. Her weapon bared and sweeping the area as the others came out and made a half circle around the container opening to try and cover the whole area.

Aaron couldn’t wait anymore.

“Bring us into intercept range of the freighter. And send a signal to Magellan, see if they’ve managed to restore primary systems.”

The bridge NE’s nodded as one opened a comm channel.

=^=Trinidad to Magellan. We are preparing to intercept the freighter. What is your status? =^=

Cmdr. Harkness - XO

The marines popped out into a darkened and decrepit cargo bay. The interior was filled with other boxes stacked less than orderly. For all that the marines could tell it was just a dark and dismal place that they had sprung into. Not really one they would want to linger in.

Briony could feel the relief throughout the bridge as the Trinidad came through loud and clear. She was glad to hear Foley’s voice and nodded, even though he could not see it. =/\= We are back up and running Trinidad. Ready to assist as necessary. Turns out the man we had in custody was a fall guy though. Watch your back. =/\=

Briony, CO

=^= Understood Captain. We left a bit of surprise in the cargo containers to be picked up, hopefully the cargo ship enjoys it. =^=

LtCmdr Foley - XO

Kelly’s hand waved silent instructions as they split into two groups to sweep the area. She led one group while the other group followed her supervisor.

Half way around the room, she started to breathe normally again. They had all expected a room full of conflict, or at least confrontation. She wasn’t sure if complete silence, and nothing else, was any better. As they swept the bay, she glanced at several containers big enough to hide people in and wondered if there were surprises for the surprisers.
