MIa looked up “Yep, come on in.” SHe said “Take a seat anywhere and I’ll get you a menu.” She said walking over to the bar and grabbing the breakfast menu “Our breakfast special is chili rellanos caserole with hash browns and bacon.” She said “Would you like a cup of coffee?” She asked for his drink order.

“Coffee would be great,” Alston said as he pulled out a chair from a nearby table. “And the special sounds interesting. Got a bit of heat to it?”

“A bit. I bought the chilies from a local supplier in Southeastern Colorado. He, well his family, has been raising chilies for hundreds of years. So I will make sure Eddie uses the ones that are a bit spicier than normal if you’d like. Coffee coming up.” She said as she moved to get the requested beverage from the decanter behind the bar. She nodded to several regulars that made their way in for breakfast, dropped off the coffee “I’ll get that order in for you. If you need anything else just let one of us know.” She said moving off toward the kitchen.

“Always up for something with a bit more kick. The replicators on my ship just can’t get the spice level right, no matter what I try. I did get some great hot sauce back on Granthrop IV, but I haven’t been back that way in years.”
Picking up the cup of coffee he took a sip. “But I’m sure you have other customers to take care of.” Mace pulled a PADD out of a pocket and started flipping through the data on it. He had a few contacts in this area, perhaps he could pick up an extra job or two while he was doing this run.
