A young blonde Ensign walked through the corridor from the docking ring. She had heard stories of the strange vessel where some things didnt work like it should all the time. As well as hearing the stories of botched transporter activity being a little more common here than they should be.

Flipping her shoulder length ponytail over her shoulder, she clutched at a passion packet under her arm. It was curious that the packet was an actual packet folder, instead of a data stream on a paddle. She looked over the seal of integrity showing this packet had not been opened in some time. “All this technology we have and Admiral Sensheu makes this thing up?” She pondered as she made her way down the dimly lit corridor to the turbolift and waited. Listening intently, she realized it wasn’t going to open.

=/\=Ensign Kerrell to Bridge, can someone either turn on the turbolift or direct me to the Captain? I have a mission packet from the Admiral=/\=

Ooc: My apologies for any lateness or tardis this month. I am having issues with my landlady and have to find a new place to live before the 1st. So posting will be erratic.

=/\=Akorem here. The turbolifts are active. Sometimes the sensors can be a little dickie. You may need to actually touch the door before it detects you,=/\= Nevin said, =/\=The Captain is in her ready room. I’ll let her know you are coming.=/\=

Ensign Kerrell sighed, exasperated. =/\=Let her know that I am on my way with this packet. The Admiral stressed that it be delivered quickly and yet this lift is finicky like that?=/\= She stepped up and touched the door, watching it slide open. “Bridge,” she spoke with an air of authority.

When the lift reached the Bridge she stepped off in a hurry and bumped into an NE. She panicked as the packet hit the floor and some of it’s contents spilled out. A small glowing crystal that seemed to pulse with a blood red inner glow rolled over towards the nearest station. Kerrell grabbed at it and shoved it back on the packet quickly before ducking off towards the Ready Room and rang the chime.

“Ensign, take a slow, deep breath and compose yourself,” Nevin offered from his place stood infront of the centre seat, “The captain only bites if you ask her to.”

-Akorem

Viktoryia had been catching up on the never ending paperwork, and wasn’t expecting the anyone. When the chime sounded it startled her and from somewhere deep within the ship laughter could be heard. “Enough of that” she whispered as she called out to her guest “enter”

Ravenfall, CO

Ensign Kerrell entered the Ready Room and placed the mission packet on the desk. Before trying to compose herself. “Captain, your packet as ordered.” She huffed, “The Admiral wanted this personally delivered, but I have never seen them send out a physical leather pouch and parchment.” She looked disdainfully at the packet. “The age of technology and wouldn’t beam it to you.”

“Thank you ensign” she said as she ran her fingers over the pouch as Terrell continue to speak. “Let’s see if we can figure out why”

She opened the packet and slowly slid the content out and onto her desk. She looked through them for a moment and then back over to the ensign “Certainly not what I was expecting”

Kerrell did a quick salute and made her way out. The packet contained a parchment with star charts and nav coordinates upon it leading to a nebulae. The paddle with orders from the Admiral assigning the Viking to patrol this route on the star chart. Rumors have been flying of a strange nebulae with some odd effects on ships that he wanted studied and understood. As well as the fact that some people say there are some ships trapped in the event horizon of the nebulae that could be centuries old or older.

The last item in the packet was a small red crystal. It’s color a deep crimson reminiscent of human blood. It had a warmth to it almost as if it held a life within itself. Notes on the star chart me toned the crystal leading the way through the nebulae on a safe path.
