Hours had passed before anyone had decided to speak. They all knew they were headed to a very strange and very strangely named nebulae. Silence permeated the Bridge as a chirrup rang out to alert the crew they had arrived.

The main screen lit up on it’s own accord, showing a vast nebulae. The sheer size of it couldn’t even be measured by eye alone as it seemed to pulsates with a dark rythem. Clouds of deep purple and inky blacks swirled in places, making random shapes to some. A few times one twisted like a body in agony before bending back into a gentle flow of energy and dust. A few ships could be made out within the edges of some clouds and just outside others. Each looking more ancient than the last. Two distinct Star-Fleet vessels could be made out as well. The silhouette of a Miranda so old it still had four digit registry number hung dead in space, debris floating near it’s deflector showing rather clear evidence of a failed attempt at something. The other known vessel was an Ambassador class vessel. Her registry showed her as a ship that had gone missing very recently. The lack of even running lights not boding well for it either. Her hull being slightly obscured as the nebulae changed. The very ebb and flow making it difficult to pin down the event horizon. The Casa del Diablo awaits.

Nevin rose from the centre seat on the bridge. The sight on the screen was quite breathtaking and were it not be for the two ships in view, he would have been lulled into a false sense of security regarding their mission.

=/\=Akorem to Ravenfall. We are on point. Please report to the bridge,=/\= he said to summon her.

He turned his back on the spectacle filling the viewscreen in order to face the officers manning the tactical & science stations.

“This is our very last go / no go check,” he said, “Tell me everything you can about the current state of those ships and what they were trying to achieve. Are their data cores and autonomic systems still online? Survivors? Atmosphere? Hull Breaches? Anything at all. I want to be certain we are not taking an unnecesary risk.”

Peter leaned forward in his seat as he stared at the debris, the ship graveyard. It gave him an eery deja vu of the war except this somehow felt more sinister. He looked at the Commander from his seat “In twenty-five years I’ve never seen anything quite like that.” He said leaning back and looking at his systems display to read what he could as the information came in.

The data flow would show no hull breaches, no power. No life support. The only signs of life are them being there and the debris field outside the air locks on one. The Ambassador class ship also showing signs of scorching along the hull bear crew quarters windows..
