Reira muttered to himself as he tapped at the controls onboard the shuttle which was shaking quite violently, it clearly didn’t like the velocities it was going at.
“Come on you old antique, keep working!” He spat angrily at it, not usually showing emotions but for once he was emotionally invested.

The sensors on the Viking beeped as an odd subspace resonance was detected, similar to a warp drive signature. It was approaching at incredible speed. A shuttle, Federation in origin but heavily modified dropped into visual range, it’s hull seemed to be covered in blue energy which crackled like lightning and it was clearly out of control.

Reira was suddenly thrown forward into the control console as the drive shut down. “Chikuso!” The drone swore in his own language, rushing over to it. “We’ve got about… 20 seconds.” He estimated, going over to the sickbay and grabbing his heavily sedated passenger out of the biobed, remotely activating transporter controls on the shuttle.

The two landed on the bridge, both collapsing. Reira was pretty badly injured, he had a lot of bruising and several cuts which still bled and one or two burns, his right wrist looked fractured. The other was a human woman, an ex-drone like their Science Officer who appeared to be physically fine but in the process of having her Borg implants removed, her arm had been replaced along with her eye.

Kara Nakuto could currently be found on the bridge of the USS Viking. There was no real reason for her to be there, the engineering station could be adequately manned by any of the officers actually assigned to that department and, of course, the centre seat was no longer her own. But still, she felt a certain amount of…belonging here. Or perhaps it was merely misty-eyed nostalgia that kept drawing her back to this space.

Whatever the reason, she had been idly reading scans at a terminal when two figures appeared with a great deal of calamitous fanfare in the centre of the room. Leaping to her feet and reaching for a phaser, before recalling that she, of no position, had no longer any right to bear arms. Instead, she began to take cautious steps forward until she could gain a full view of the intruders. Clearly they were both hurt, but that was not the primary observation of the half-Klingon. No. It was the hair. Lilac, to be precise. And jarringly familiar.

“Reira?” she called out, hesitantly, her eyes scanning the other occupants of the room to be sure that this was no hallucination. “You are back…again?”
