“At ease, lower your weapons,” Nevin instructed his officers. He checked that his hand phaser was set to stun before gently placing it on the deck and pushing it away from himself.

It was a show of faith that he hoped would indicate he was not a threat to the officers.

“I’m Commander Akorem. First officer of the USS Viking,” he said warmly.

Luna closed her wings and remained quiet. The Xo could handle this. She was however holding her wings at an unusual angle for her. Pain from the wonds In her back was finally starting to bother her. Not that she would openly admit it to anyone.

Kalika frowned but she took a step forward. “I am Kalika Darz, Security Chief of the Viking. It appears we have a small problem here.” She hadn’t even considered the XO for stepping up. This was a security issue, so her own instinct was to protect the others and put herself in the crosshairs… proverbial or otherwise.

Nevin waited patiently whilst the officers were weighing up their options. He knew that from their perspective, the away team were the intruders.

The moment was uncomfortable and Nevin wonderred how he could explain their presence without telling the crew about the abandoned and derelict ship they had boarded.

“What stardate is it?” Nevin asked calmly

“I think the tricordorder is confused, sir.” T’Shura said calmly. “I am getting confused readings right now.” She frowned as she tapped at the device trying to get it to give an understandable reading.

“I’m Ensign Reira Akaba, I’m a scientist.” Reira stated, having entered the shuttlebay as he tried to think his way out of this, he couldn’t even connect to the Collective for information about this anomaly. “Our co-ordinates are in a state of shifting…” He stated, looking at the tricorder. “I need to borrow this…”

“Ofcourse you can borrow my tricorder, Ensign,” Nevin said remembering that the one the Ensign had brought was lost in their swift evacuation of the burning bridge. The XO slowly lowered his burnt and bleeding right arm to unclip his tricorder from his belt to hand to the former drone.

“That’s not a problem is it?” he asked the officer that had a weapon trained on him, “If it is, I’m sure that Ensign Akaba will tell you what he would like you to scan for and you could make the scan.”

The non-responsiveness of the officers holding them was, whilst uncomfortable, was to be expected if they were awaiting their own security officers.

Luna watched what was going. “ if anyone hurts a member of theirs crow you’ll find out how quietly I can I kick you buts” Luna said glaring at the officers” she was not even remotely thrilled about the situation. However pain and loss of blood was causing her to act irrationally.

“Ok ok… Easy everyone.” Kalika raised her arms hoping to calm both sides as hackles got raised. She glanced at the XO as he handed over the tricorder. Growling under her breath seeing him hurt and unattended, she nodded to Luna. “Bond the XO please and let’s hold the kicking for a real enemy. Please?” She knew Luna would have all their backs in a heartbeat. But right now she just needed to figure out how to get back to the booking they belonged to.

She glanced back at the one who had addressed them. Apparently we were dimensionally shifted here… If that even is a thing.” She was no scientist, but she had paid a LITTLE attention at the Academy. “Is there someone who can be summoned to maybe help us get home before we contaminate timeline here?”

They weren’t doing anything but standing in the hangar at the moment. But she already knew that was too much.
