It was shortly after 15:00 a couple of days after the Viking. The door to Akaba’s Quarter rang. Before the science officer would have chance to answer, the chime would ring again, and again.Whoever was at the door was certainly impatient…
-Unexpected Visitor
Reira was on his bed, sipping his hot chocolate when the his door rang. Okay, who wanted to see him, why not just call him on his commbadge? Grabbing the phaser he kept under his pillow, partially because he was a little more wary these days and mainly because he felt safer knowing he had a weapon when he slept at night, he got up when the chime rang twice more. Whoever it was, they were impatient as he hid his phaser behind his back.
He reached the button and answered the door.
Ensign Reira Akaba (Science)
At the door was the ships former CMO wearing a black Section 31 uniform. He held a finger up against his lips to indicate for Akaba to be quiet before he entered.
Upon entering he took out a cylindrical device from a satchell and turned it on. As a blue band around it began to glow he placed it on the coffee table before starting to scan the room all over with a tricorder on silent mode. Satisfied with his scan results closed the tricorder.
“Reira,” he said simply in he Welsh accent. He was not sure how Reira would feel or react to him being Section 31…

The sight before him made Reira freeze, John was back but… He noticed the uniform instantly and he held his breath. This had been one of his nightmares, that John would join them and experiment on him. He sincerely doubted the last part and chalked it up to his brain acting up with his Borg implants but seeing him like this sent a chill down his spine. He still had feelings for John, feelings he couldn’t suppress. Reira locked the doors with a Borg Algorithim, he didn’t want John to leave yet. That and he still had memories from Harry walking in on them… in flagrante. Not an experience he cared to repeat.
“John…” The ex-Drone replied, the slight Japanese accent to his speech. “It’s good to see you.” He nods. Regardless of his lover’s affiliations, the fact that John was alive counted for something. “I’m not going to beat around the bush here… Why are you in a Section 31 Uniform? You know what they did to me, I told you everything. You’re the only one to whom I told everything Leo did to me. Did James force you to do this? I know his Reman Imps have something to do with Section 31 as does Nevin.” He asked, hesitant as he removed his shirt, feeling warmer than normal, plus John had seen far more than just his torso, walking over he planted a gentle kiss on the man’s cheek.
“I was put in a position whereby if I wanted to remain in Starfleet I had to join the section,” John said as he embraced Reira in a hug. “The section believes my uncle has gone rogue and believe because of the family connection I am best suited to track him down and I will need your help with that, but there is another reason I am here in person.”
“I still care about you… You must know how hard it is for me to admit this, right? To even feel it, considering my cortical node could harm me if I didn’t control it’s functions to stop it considering my emotional responses to you as me being a defective Borg Drone.”

“I love you too,” John said pausing to let that sink in, “Reira, I must warn you, Your father is somewhere aboard the Viking. Section 31 records show he downloaded some files using a terminal aboard this ship. This only got spotted by me because the files relate to my Uncle.”
