“Thank you,” Nevin said to both Luna and the local security officerstaking out the medical tricorder and scanning Reira. The medical tricorder would provide a much clearer picture of what had caused the ensign’s seizure.

Reira’s seizure had stopped after a few minutes and the Ensign had fallen unconscious. The tricorder readings indicated his airway was clear but he was in a comatose state, his cortical node having responded to extreme stress and attempted to shut down all his implants, which were stable but only active enough to keep Reira alive. His cortical node was attempting to reboot but to no success, clashes between the program Reira installed to prevent this from happening and the Borg-implanted one to shut down drones who showed too much emotion clashed as both were Priority Alpha-1 commands.

OOC: I know that was complicated but basically Reira installed a program he wrote into his own cortical node to stop a piece of Borg programming in present every drone from that would kill him if he showed a heightened emotional state, it is designed to shut down defective Drones. They’re both commands at the highest priority and both programs are trying to override each other, resulting in Reira’s comatose state.

“Well that can’t be good.” Kaylia move over to him. Kneeling down, obviously abundantly clear he was a ‘reformed’ Borg. She could help with that. Maybe. Pointing to the side and telling anyone that would even listen to her. “Get the emergency med-kit out of that hatch and bring it to me.” Giving a look over the scans she now just did of him. This would be interesting. She’d rather have the computer to work on but the tricorder will have to do for now.

“The implant may have malfunctioned due to the whatever it was that brought us here,” Nevin said, “Without access to his medical record, I do not know enough about the customisations but it appears that there are two routines fighting each other. One to shut down the implants and the other to keep him alive.”

“The Viking’s AI should have downloaded details of each of our relevant medical files into the shuttle’s computer core as we departed. Has the shuttle come here too?”

“I don’t know, I hadn’t looked. A little more focused on trying to save him first. So if you are right and they are conflicting with each other, that also means its a command that was implimented. So the nanites are probably going at each other. Which means…if his cordical node can be access, then it should be possible to find the..lets call it virus, and I can impliment a new sub-routine that will stop this damage. Now it is going to be a temporary fix, I give maybe…three hours, before he’s got to be in sickbay.”

Kaylia took the med-kit once someone finally brought it to her, opening it and linking the medical tricorder and the engineering tricorder she already had. “Lets see what we can see and find.” Also loading a hypospray with lorazepamzine, which would calm his body some without doing any thing like putting him into a coma, pressing it to his neck.

Kalika managed to talk the Engineering Chief into allowing her crew to remain in the bay. She got together with the Captain, Chief Engineer and Science Chief to see what occured recently that may have caused the issue they were having. It turns out a malfunction while in warp caused them to lurch out of is as if caught in a net. A rip was caused that set off alarms in the bay. That’s why they had come to investigate.

Kalika recommended trying to replicate the event. After a couple trial and error attempts, there was a rip in the bay that allowed Kalika and her Viking crew to step back onto the other ship and arrive beside their shuttle.

Luna followed the others back to the shuttle. If it had not have been for that wolf thing she would have help carry Reira to the shuttle. ” Is the shuttle working we need to get back to the Viking wail we still can. Reira you better wake up ” Luna said half glaring at the Borg. She was in her own way showing concern for him. Reira was her friend after all.

Kalika thanked the duplicate crew as they successfully made their way thru the shimmer to their own shuttle. Once thru, the shimmer faded and the other Viking ship was gone. Kalika began tapping her comm badge as her wounded and ragged crew made for the shuttle. Despite all the passed time, the fire hadn’t reached the bay yet. It was as if they had barely stepped away.

She asked it over and over again as she waited to be sure everyone was on board before joining them.

Nevin had gone to the cockpit to begin the launch sequence. As soon as the COS was aboard and confirmed the headcount he lifted off.

“Please take over,” he said to the officer in the co-pilot seat before heading aft to check on Akaba’s condition.

Kaylia looked up as she was approached, still waiting on a response for what she did. If it at all worked to help Reira at all, “I’m still waiting,” before she was even asked.
