Luna walked the Hal’s of the Viking with her two year old daughter. Both herself aardvark Crenity had routine Physicals schedule for today. As usual Luna took the long way to sickbay “ mommy what’s wrong” Crenity said effectively distracting the sacuruty officer from her thoughts. She blinked looking at her daughter. How should she answer? She could not lie to Crenity the two-year-old was good at spotting lies. She also could not tell the little girl the truth. How would she explain that when the time came? But right now it was best the child did not know anything about her mother past. The less Crenity know the better. ” Mommy are you listening?” Crenity asked opening and closing her wings with frustration.

” yes I’m listening nothing is wrong” Luna said and continue down the hallway.

” mommy your lying.” Crenity pointed out. Luna shook her head. She took a deep breath. Then looked at her daughter again.

” Crenity you don’t need to know” Luna said. Crenity got ready to protest lunas response but they had arrived in sickbay. ” look we are here. Let see how much you have grown in the last year” Luna said. She could not believe it but for once in her life she was actually happy to have made it to sickbay. She checked in with one of the nurses, and the two of them waited patiently. Crenity for the first time in weeks was silent she was more interested in watching people then actually taking. Luna was thankful for a break. Having a curious child was one thing having a curious child that could also fly. Let’s just say Luna did not get very much peace.
Ensign Luna

After a couple of minutes a man in the typical medical uniform approached him but that was as far what marked him as a doctor went. Despite walking with the confidance of a superior officer (although he only had an Ensign rank) the man looked more like he should be a patient more than a doctor. There was a guantness to his appearance, as if he had aged a lot in a short space of time. He was new, but there would be a certain familiarity in his green eyes.

“Ensign Luna?” He asked reading off of his PADD, “I’m Doctor Harrington, what can I do for you?” He introduced, “And you must be Cerenity,” he winked fake scrutinising the child, “You don’t look sick to me, are you lost?”

Luna blinked she stepped back and opens her white and black spited wings slightly. She had not expected to see a new doctor is sickbay. It was a bit startling for her. Crenity was Idaly playing with her blonde hair. The child looked at him with sky blue eyes. “ your eyes are pretty and mommy says it required to see the doctor evey year where We are sick or not” she said not quite understanding Harrington’s question. By this point Luna had closed her wings and recover from her surprise. “ mommy is afraid of doctors but she won’t tell me why” the child added.

David startled ever so slightly at the movement of the wings, he had heard about them, but seeing them was something he was going to have to get used to. Yet another anomoly on the Viking he would have to get used to he thought to himself. Outwardly he smiled kindly at the mother and daughter, “Why thank you, but I like your blue eyes better,” he complimented the child, “Your mummy is very brave for comming then. Even I don’t like going to the doctor and I am one,” he chuckled lightly

Luna cought the slight start from the doctor. She relaxed a bit seeing as he did not react the way she would have expected. Crenity smiled “ Mommy has to be brave she protects eveyone on the ship” the child said. Luna smiled and shook her head. “ I’m a sacurity officer she has not quit fingered out what that means yet.” Luna exsplaned quickly.

“ ok Crenity no more shuger for you. Kids, there a handful we are here for are yearly physicals it makes life a little easier to schedule hers at the same time as mine. The blonde haired blue eyed ensign said. Luna was abit on the tall side and quiet thin herself, she appeared almost to fragile to be a security officer. Crenity was quite small for a human two year old as well.
Ensign Luna

“Physicals, step this way then,” Harrington guided them towards an empty biobed. “Your mummy if very brave for comming here then. Even I don’t like going to the doctor and I am a doctor,” he chuckled lightly.

“ you already said that, are you ok” Crenity asked. Luna had caught that David Repeated himself to she fingered it was nerves. He had no doubt hurt the story’s of how difficult the pair could be.

“Hmm, yes I am fine,” David looked at the little child, “Just reiterating,”

As Crenity and Luna settled themselves into, David grabbed himself a tricorder. Double checking their charts to make sure he knew what their average readings could be expected to read as. “Who wants to go first?” he asked carefully, wiggling his eyebrows comically at Crenity.

Ensign Harrington
Doctor

Luna’s chart would note that she was indeed human. Her hart rate when resting sat at around 100 beats per minute. Her blood presser was typicly on the lower side. There was a worning in her record about an unusual reaction to sedatives and to watch for sines of fatigue. Luna had also broken her right wing about 3 years ago.

Crenity’s file would show that the child had been born on the Viking. She was tipicly smaller then more children in her age group should be. Her hart rate and blood pewter was normal for a human of her age. There was a consurn about the child’s fast matabolisom and her mental state. She had broken her right wing about six months ago.

“ I’ll go first Crenity’s physical will likely be a bit more complicated” Luna said with a smile. Crenity giggled at the doctors funny face.
Ensign Luna

“Alright,” David gave Luna a warm smile. As he smiled his whole face seemed to up lifting, giving Luna a brief glimps of the no-doubt handsome man he had once been. But then his smile slipped away, and he went back to looking worn down again. “You’ve been on the Viking for three years?” He asked, unable to help himself as he read through her chart. “From what I gather it’s a pretty long time to stick it out on this ship for. You must have seen a few Captains come and go by now,” he probed gently. Three years… that had been how long Harry had been missing for, and he wondered if there was the slim chance that Luna had been on board then.

” Only two captains, personally I like the Viking its actually staffer for Crenity her then anywhere else. How long have you been on board and what do you think of the ship so far” Luna said with a smile.

“I haven’t been here long enough to form much of an opinon of the ship,” David’s smile was tight; he was clearly distracted, “Do you happen to know a woman named Harry? She was Captain Nakuto’s first Officer, before that she was the Chief Science Officer.”

Luna thought for a moment. “ Harry? That was not her real name it was Briar” she said slowly a thoughtful exspreshin crossing her face.

A cold shot of emotion twisted in Davids gut at the mention of Harry’s real name. Maybe just maybe, he had just met someone who had known his sister at the time she went missing.

“ Who is Briar?” Crenity asked. Luna blinked several more times trying to remember. “ Briar was mommy’s boss she preferred Harry though. I remember we talked about that. I thought her real name was pretty. Infact I think she was the one who broke my wing three years ago thought it might have been the captain. One of them found me passed out in ten forward. I had and episode where I was unable to sleep. Ether way witch ever one of them found me acsidently stepped on my wing” Luna said her eyes going distant she was lost in the memorie.

A shiver ran down David’s spine, and he faught to remain calm and in control of his emotions. He remembered having his own discussion with her when she’d first started insisting on being called Harry. He’d hated it, couldn’t figure out why she’d want to change it. He’d insisted on continuing to call her Bree, his own nickname for her, until she eventually stopped protesting. It wasn’t until she disappeared that he started calling her Harry, as if by calling her by her preferred name she would magically come back.

“Where is she” Crenity asked. “ she just disappeared like your father and captain Nakuto did. “ Luna said. Crenity was silent thinking about what she heirs. Luna looked at David “ how did you two know echother” Luna asked.

“I-” David paused as a sudden surge of emotion rose up and stuck in his throat, “I am her brother,” I have come to find her he thought almost saying it, but the words didn’t want to come. He wasn’t surprised Luna hadn’t been able to guess. The only trait Briar and him shared were their striking green eyes; the Harrington eyes. His relationship with Harry had been fractured at best, despite his best efforts. He doubted she ever even spoke of him. Even if she had he didn’t resemble anything of the man he had been back then. He’d almost been a Captain, handsome and confident; Starfleets Golden-Boy. Now here he was, demoted to Ensign, disowned and pushed to the furtherest reaches of the galaxy, grieving for a sister nobody could find.

Luna reached out and put a hand on his shoulder. ” perhaps we can investigate and find out what happened, I have nig been able to get anywhere but perhaps you will see something I missed” Luna said. She missed Harry as well she still thought her was alive. But had never been able to find anything. Considering Loki’s and captain Nakuto’ return perhaps it was possible to find Harry.

Swollowing a sudden lump in his throat David turned away. “Thank you,” he said sincerely, picking up his medical tricorder before his emotions got the better of him, he focused back on the task at hand. “How have you been feeling lately?” he asked gently, “Any aches or pains, or anything I should know about?”

Harrington
Doctor

” Just tired between Crenity and Ensign Loki’s return, and of course work finding a balance can be difficult, other then that I’m doing alright” Luna said. Though she said she was tired she hide it well. One thing they could count on was that Luna could hide systems of just about anything. The scans would show evidence however that she was tired. Her hart rate was resting at about 130 beats per minute her blood pressure was slightly lower then normal as well. The most likely cause was stress. Other then that everything checked out as normal for her.
Ensign Luna

David nodded thoughtfully as his eyes read through her scans, “Well what I’m reading here confirms that,” He shook his head, and thought deeply for a minute. “When’s your next shift?” he questioned.

Ensign Harrington
Doctor

“My next shift, it should be in a few hours unless I read the information wrong” Luna said thinking.
Ensign Luna

David nodded, “Alright, I’m going to message your superior officer to give you that shift off and you’re going to use the time to rest. Sleep, work out on the holodeck, play some racketball. I don’t care how you spend that time so long as it spent doing something you find relaxing.” He picked up the PADD again and started typing “Security right?” he asked as he finished the message.

Ensign Harrington
Doctor

”waght hold on Doctor is that really necessary we don’t really have enough people in security for someone to be out an entire shift” Luna said. She was concerned. The safety of the ship was at stake her she know they could not afford for her to miss a shift.

“You’ll be on call, but a tired officer, is more of a liablitiy than an rested officer they can call on when the need arises. Quite frankly Ensign, you’ve fallen into what is loosly termed as ‘sleep dept’ if you don’t catch up now, you’re going to end up missing more than just one shift.”

” we could watch a movie with daddy” Crenity chimed in. Luna shook her head as much as she would love that they just did not have the manning for her to be out for a shift.
Ensign Luna

David softened his voice “I used to work in Security, I can understand the responsibility you feel, but tired people make mistakes. Spend time with your daughter, relax and if you’re desperatly needed the ship will call on you,”
