After the shuttle got back onboard the Viking and Reira and the XO presumably went to sick bye or were taken in the case of Reira. Luna agenst better juggernaut and recommendations of her concerned department head Luna first when to check on Lyra and Loki. She found both peacefully asleep in there beds. Only then was she ready to go to sick bay.

By the time Luna had gotten to sickbay she was showing sines of how badly she truly was hurt. Her skin was paler then normal. Her balance was off and she was holding her wings in an unusual way they were much lower and partially open. “ I umm” she muttered at a nearby nurse before stumbling sideways and falling to the floor.
Ensign Luna

Kaylia just happened to come in to have her check up to make sure everything was fine. Seeing Luna and looking around a bit. Where the hell was the medical staff? Running over to Luna and checking her vitals manually first. Then picking her up like she weighed no more than a feather. Moving her to a bio-bed. “This is not in my job description.” At least all of them had basic or slightly advanced medical training through the Academy. So first, access the situation and extend of her wounds. “A little help please!” Calling out in the hopes someone would hear.

  • Ensign Kaylia Strenvale
    – Engineering Officer

Luna’s poults was rapid and week a tell tale sine that she was headed into shock. Her back was covered in blood and the actual wounds looked they they had been caused by a large animal. Luna was not responsive her eyes were open but she did not seem to be there.
Ensign Luna

She knew for a fact that rapid heart rate did not mean she was going to go into shock. However, trama could cause that and include a raise heart rate and blood pressure. “I am a damn engineer not a doctor! Someone want to get your asses in gear to help me!” Which evidently they were not. So its up to her. Running around she found some lorazelitopam. Putting it into a hypo and pressing it against Luna’s neck. That should not only calm her but also drop her heartrate and blood pressure.

Reaching Kaylia got something to wipe the blood away. “Hey..wake up.” She smacked Luna if she at to, seeing her eyes were fixed and dialated. Smacking her again. “I said wake up dammit. I am not in the business to make a ghoul.”

  • Ensign Kaylia Strenvale
    – Engineering Officer

The medication did slow lunas hart rate. The engine eyes seaming to try and focus. ” I’m ok ” she muttered. Her eyes fluttered she was not really focusing in nor did she seem to be aware of her surroundings. As Kayla tried to clean the blood from the wounds she nocked some of the blood clots away and the ensign began to bleed again.
Ensign Luna

She blew out a sigh, “I’m sorry I slapped you.” Feeling more than relief. Still not particularly happy that no medical staff have showed to help though. “Almost lost you for a moment. Do you know where you are?” The bleeding was pretty easy to fix with a simple dermal regenerator.

  • Ensign Kaylia Strenvale
    – Engineering Officer

“ the ambassador ship” she asked. She was clearly confused. The dermal regenerator was affective in stoping the bleeding. However the wounds in Luna’s back were deep and the tendons and ligaments that held her wings were damaged they were not cut clean throw but it was definitely a problem.
“ I have to get back to the Viking Loki and Crenity are in danger” she mutters as she tryed to get up. Her wings partly unfolding as she attempted to get up.
Ensign Luna

“What’s going on here?” A calm authoritive voice asked. David was returning from dropping some blood samples off to the science labs for analysis when he’d returned to find the two woman in Sickbay. “Luna!” he exclaimed as he recogised the woman, running over. Despite his ill appearance he moved realitivly quickly over too the biobed, and pulling a tricorder out of his belt to scan the women with.

Luna’s hart rate was still high but much lower now thanks to the medication administrated by Kaylia earlier. She had lost a lot of blood but was stable at the moment thanks to Kaylia’s quick thinking. Her blood pressure was lower then normal. Scans of the wounds in her back would show that the damage went deep and partly cut through the tendons that connect her wings to the musicals in her back that moved them. “ we have to get back to the Viking “ Luna muttered as she fell back agents the bio bed.
Ensign Luna

“You made it back,” David said gently, reading Luna’s scans with a frown. She was stable but not by much. He crounched down, and grabbed a dermal regenerator form a nearby medical trolly. Bringing it up over her the worst of the wounds, “Try to stay still,” he ordered, “Otherwise you’ll make my job harder for me.”

“How did this happen?” He glanced between the two woman, and noticed Kaylia’s bloodied hands, “Are you hurt too?” he questioned, too busy trying to repair the extensive damage Luna had suffered to scan her. “I’ll take a look at you when I’m finished with her,”

Harrington
Doctor

“A dog man” she said quietly. Her eyelids flustered as she drifted into unconsciousness. The dermal regenerator would work but it was take longer thanks to the complicated nature if luna’s DNA and her injuries. Once the wounds were healed the only needed to be censured about her low blood pressure. The blood she lost would have to be replaced however that would have to be done naturally. The ensigns blood type did not fit any known humanoid. Her blood had eliminates to it that was very similar to earth birds.
Ensign Luna

“Its not my blood, even if it was, the wounds would have regenerated already. I’m fine, but where were you or your staff? I shouldn’t have to done this.” Not that Kaylia minded exactly, she was doing her duty. Due diligence. Holding up the dermal regenerator she’d already been using, “I suppose, two might help that process.”

David spared a glance around sickbay, noticing for the first time the lack of staff, and shrugged. “I was dropping something off to the science labs, I assume everyone else is attending to their own medical emergencies. The department’s been stretched a little thin recently. “But since you’re here the help would be appreciated.” He shuffled around to give Kaylia space so she could access Luna’s injured back.

Kaylia’s help did help the winds in Luna’s back heal faster. The ensign did not regain crunches though.
Ensign Luna

The doctors jaw tightened when Luna didn’t awaken despite their quick treatment. “Keep an eye on her,” he ordered sharply, heading to where the medical supplies was kept and grabbing out one of the few blood bags in there. He frowned at the small number that was in there, but managed to find one that was human before hurrying back to his patient. “Here goes…” he muttered quietly to himself, hoping that human blood would suffice and that Luna didn’t need a bird/human blood mix cause there was only one other person on that ship who had that same bird/human blood mix… and she was far too young to safely give blood.

As the blood transfusion began to work, he kept an extra careful eye on it to ensure that there were no problems. If Luna didn’t react well to the transfusion, he wasn’t entirely sure what he could do. Crenity wasn’t an option, but neither was letting Luna die.

Harrington
Doctor

Strangely enough luna’s Body did not seam to be regecting the transfusion. After about 20 minute her eyes started to open. “ what is where? “ she muttered.
Ensign Luna

David lifted his head from the notes he’d been taking on his PADD next to Luna’s bed. “You’re in Sickbay Ensign,” he said setting the PADD to the side, “You were dealt a heavy blow and you lost a lot of blood. How are you feeling?” he asked gently, going up to read her vitals. He was worried about her incoherrancy and hoped that it was merely an effect of her coming out of unconsciousness than something more serious.

Harrington
Doctor

Luna’s vitals were good for the most part her blood pressers was within its normal range. Her hart rate was about 95 beats per minute a bit lower then normal but still ok and would likely improve in time. The fact that Luna was seemingly so calm after realizing she was is sick bay was a pretty good indicator that she did not feel all that great. “ I’m alive I should have listened and come to sickbay right after We got back to the Viking” she muttered. She looked at Dr. Harrington but her eyes did not seem to be focusing. She shook her head and tried to sit up. Only to get dizzy and fall back agent the bed It would take some time for her to adjust to the mostly human blood now in her system. The good thing was her body was not outright rejecting the blood. “ that felt wonderful what did you do” she asked.

Ensign Luna

“Yes, yes you should have,” David said firmly but gently placing a hand on her shoulder. “Stay down. I had to give you a blood transfusion, you’re going to feel a little weak until your body ajusts. When you’re feeling a little stronger I’ll get you some juice to drink, but for now just rest.”

Harrington
Doctor

“ I had to check on Crenity” Luna said. Once again her bad habit of neglecting her own health to take care of Crenity. It took her a moment to register what the doctor said. Her eyes went wide. “ you did what how where is my daughter” grabbing his wrist trying and failing to dig her nails into his skin.
Ensign Luna

Gently prying Luna’s had off his arm Harrington gave a comforting smile. “We didn’t take the blood from your daughter if that’s what you’re asking. I gave you human blood and thankfully your body took to it, otherwise I don’t know how I’d be able to ask the Captain for permission to harvest a flock of birds for their blood for you.”

“I’m sure your daughter is being well looked after, and will be eager to see you once you’ve had some rest,”

Harrington
Doctor

Luna let out a sigh of relief. ” Thank goodness, that Wolfman was just to fast before I even had a chance to react it had me pint the the ground taking up my back.” Luna said her brain quickly starting to catch up to what was going on and what had happened.she tried again to sit up this time managing to prop herself up on her elbows. ” how long will I have to stay her?” she asked that uncomfortable but familiar feeling of anxiety creating its way back to her. The slight rise in her hart rate indicated that her hart rate was about 100 beats per minute. ”what kind of damage did it inflict I know it was bad but I did not know it was that bad” she added after a moment of looking around.
