“ Consular stay in sickbay and keep your calm open” she said before belting out of sickbay after Jacquard. “ this place is like the viking on acid” Luna said as she followed. She thought as they sprocket the turbo Lyft. “ what safety’s dose the turbolyft have and how do we get them active from out here” she asked.
Ensign Luna

“Don’t worry about us, Luna, it will all be fine!” Optimism leaked through her tone. It was a trained tactic Tal had learned over her years as a Counselor. If she let hope free into the atmosphere, she prayed it would linger long enough to infect her comrades as well.

OOC: I’m going to move Luna & Jacquard into a new thread as they are no longer in sickbay.

Stein watched from his perch in the corner, tilting his head on occasion as he watched the Beveres doing her thing, his mind wandering and eyes darting back and forth across the scene.

Due to its similarity to the archaic EEG, Beveres doubted the HEG would give them the answers she was looking for. However, it could offer a pool of information to help them detect what was happening beneath the surface.

Once the HEG was set up, she gestured for any company to fall silent. Although hardly mandatory, Beveres preferred the silence in tests such as these.

Once the test was underway, Beveres watched the monitor for any results. Despite the wide range of the test’s capabilities, she was searching specifically for encephalitis, brain damage or any bloackages that could promote hallucinations or possible seizure activity.

Stein looked over Beveres’ shoulder but still didn’t interrupt. He was looking for things she might miss without being too intrusive in his collegue’s treatments.

Beveres had never been keen on people staring over her shoulder, but she understood Stein’s intentions were in the right place.

There was no sign of any brain damage or blockages, the only thing that was abnormal was an increase in cerebral activity in somatosensory cortex of her brain but there was no obvious cause for it.

Mother Hen

“There doesn’t appear to be any visible trauma to her brain,” She remarked to include Stein in the conversation. “Activity levels are heightened in her somatosensory cortex. However, considering the somatosensory system’s purpose, such activity could simply indicate her brain’s awareness of this room’s temperature or the feeling of the table beneath her…or the presence of something we cannot see.” She paused, “In which case I cannot dismiss her hallucinations to be a part of a psychosomatic episode.”

“Do you have any thoughts on the matter, Doctor Stein?”

Lt. Beveres, CNS

Stein did a very poor job of acting surprised when Beveres called upon him. “What? Oh is that the patient you were looking at a moment ago?” He shuffled up next to his colleague and squinted at the results as he read the results, only adding to the illusion that he didn’t know exactly what she was talking about.

“I suspect,” he posited as he traced a finger along the screen from the bio-bed read outs. “I suspect is having a sensory organ hijacked. Well. Not an organ per se, as you said, but probably something feeding her brain with things imaginary or imaginary.” He frowned, “What caused her to be brought to your attention?”
