“Grab a couple of hours rest. Freshen up,” Nevin said. He had been going to suggest a shave, but that would have been hypocritcal given that Nevin hadn’t had one for several days due to the treatment for the burns he experienced on his last away mission.

“You’ve got a good team here, but if they can see visibly how this is affecting you, they may begin to doubt themselves,” Nevin said warmly. He knew full well that the Admiral had all the same command training and had a lot more experience under his belt. But sometimes the simplest part of motivating your staff were the first to get overlooked in a crisis.

The Admiral sighed and thought about what he was saying, he knew that Nevin was right but he had yet to meet with the Captain. “I will Commander, as soon as I have spoken to your Captain…” he said wearily as he instinctively rubbed his eyes at the mention of sleep.

Peter scratched his chin “Which reminds me, wasn’t the Captain supposed to join us by now?” He asked the first officer. He knew she had requisitioned two of his own officers as an escort to leave more security personnel on the Viking, he wondered why he hadn’t recieved a report yet. Probably nothing to be concerned about.

As if on cue, Mike’s head popped up from the open doorway. “Ah there you are…” He said as he saw his XO, “Mike Stone reporting in.”
As the rest of his body followed the head, it became apparent that he wasn’t wearing the standard Federation uniform. Instead it was a slightly too small black tracksuit with white lines at the side.

“I apologise for the lack of uniform. There was a slight accident with my arrival here. Um, where’s the CO and the rest of the officers that were with him?” He added, as he noticed CO wasn’t here already. Until now he though only he was beamed off target. Now he realised others were probably beamed to wrong location as well.

Lt. Mike Stone, CE

“If you’re here, they can’t be that far away,” Nevin replied. He tapped his comm badge, =/\=Akorem to away team, please akcnowledge.=/\=

-Akorem

OOC: I’m not going cross post this to the relevant threads incase our resident master of evil decides the badge doesn’t work.

-Jim

OOC: Would I? :) I’ll let you have the comm badges…for now - I’ll cross post for you!

“ that sounds like fun” Luna said giggling at the appearance of the CE. “ I hope you know how to swim” she said giggling. Just because they were on a mission did not mean that they could not make jokes about a not so good situation. A little bit of fun could keep them sane.

“Sure I can swim, it’s just a bit hard while holding a toolbox.” He lifted his, water still dripping every now and then on the floor. “It caught me by suprise, is all.” He added.

Peter growled almost imperceptively, the damn transporters messing up again “I recommend that in the future we stick to using our shuttles when transporting personnel down” He told Akorem. This was becoming a habit of theirs, this and the hauntings. His thoughts then turned to his two Intel officers that the Captain asked to take down and as if the pair heard his thoughts they read his thoughts the call was answered.

=^=Rivera here, I was transported to a restaurant” There was a slight pause “On Earth in Late 20th century, so barring any time traveling shenanigans I think it’s safe to assume I’m in a Holodeck somewhere=^= The Betazoid woman answered the call.

=/\=See if they’ll do some take out and make your way up to the Captain’s office which we are borrowing,=/\= Nevin replied.

A moment later another voice joined the chat

=^=Ensing Carlo reporting, I think the Transporter Chief missed his mark a bit, I materialized in the middle of a bloo… in the middle of a performance of some singing play or whatnot=^= The young Briton reported

CIO and NE’s Rivera & Carlo

=/\=I’d arrange for you to be beamed to the Captain’s office, but that may not be a good idea,=/\= the XO replied, =/\=Make your way up and I’ll see you when you get here.=/\=

=^=Copy that sir, on my way=^= Carlo answered first before closing the channel =^=Aye sir, Heading up now=^= Rivera’s voice came in a bit later.

“That just leaves the Capatain and Lieutenant Akaba to check in,” Nevin added.

=/\=Akorem to Von Hellsing. Would you mind bringing another shuttle down and joining us on the away team. I’m not convinced I’d trust the transporters for a beam out.=/\=

-Akorem

=^= on my way sir and I will bring some more supplies anything else you need =^=

Lance got up and went to the shuttle bay the com linked to his Com badge.

Ensign Lance Von Hellsing (Helm/Wolf)

=/\=Thank you, Ensign, I’ll see you shortly.=/\=

Mike smiled at the mention of shuttles. He had a feeling having the second one fixed could come in handy. He only wished he’d arrived on the planet in one as well, he’d still be in his uniform and not in a small tracksuit.

“So repairing the weather station sounded urgent. Where is that and what exacly is wrong with it?” He asked. The sooner he got on it, the sooner he would finish and could change clothes.

Lt. Mike Stone, CE

Aldridge sighed and shrugged his shoulders. “It’s about a mile outside the main colony but I don’t know why it is malfunctioning…” he replied as he tapped a few buttons on his console to summon the CSO.

Moments later, a slender Vulcan gentleman sporting a PaDD appeared at the door. As he came to join the group, he handed the PaDD to Aldridge. The Admiral nodded as he surveyed the information. “Oh, apologies, this is my Chief Science Officer, Commander T’Prek,” he said as T’Prek gave a slight bow to the team.

“We have detected a power failure in weather station 4 and it is currently unable to contain a large storm that is headed for the colony. If it is not fixed within the next 2 hours, large parts of the colony will be at risk. Any assistance you can provide to fix the malfunction would be helpful.” he replied with true Vulcan stoicism. “I will be taking a team with me in 4 minutes. I will need an engineer and given the current situation on Vaila, I believe a security presence would be a wise precaution?” he queried the Admiral who nodded in agreement.

Mother Hen

“ please let me go, I assume that the work to the wether station will be somewhat outside” she said passing to try and frame her next stamens wisely. “ I can fly with out the aid of technology even if it’s only for a limited amount of time at the moment. it may come in handy also I’m small enough that are enemy is most likely it to undermine us something I can use to are advantage” she said trying to give them the information that was going through her head.

Peter allowed the group to discuss together, moving to the side he tapped his Combadge =^=Sigmundsson to Intel team Bravo, stay alert and don’t trust anything not from the Viking, move quickly and regroup. Then find the Captain and make sure she’s secure and escort her to the Command Centre, something’s strange here, assume Baldr Protocol=^= He then closed the channel after receiving the OK’s from his team.

CIO

“Yes Ensign, you and Lieutenant Stone will accompany Commander T’Prek,” Nevin said, “If you run into Lieutenant Akaba on your way, let me know and have him join you.”

“Right, let’s give the Admiral some space,” Nevin said addressing his officers before he turned back to the Admiral. “I’ll let you know as soon as Captain Ravenfall is here.”

The truth that Nevin didn’t like was that he seemed to have aquired a knack for ‘misplacing’ his COs and he was worried that this was going to be another one of those occasions

-Akorem

Lance was in the shuttle going over preflight checks soon the extra supplies were loaded and the shuttle had a green light. Everything was going smoothly until Lance entered the atmosphere. It felt like a storm after storm front was hitting the shuttle rocking it back-and-forth =^= Lance tO AwaY TEaM€££¥£€£¥ =^= the link was lost only a few May days were heard.

Ensign Lance Von Hellsing (Helm/Wolf)

As the storm buffeted the shuttle back and forth, Lance was thrown around like a rag doll inside as the inertial dampeners failed and the shuttle careened out of control towards the surface. About 2km outside of the colony close to the weather station was an area of dense marshland. If Lance could get the shuttle there, he would at least survive the impact.
