I don’t see anyone else. ” Mike replied calmly and without even looking around much. He quietly packed and didn’t say a thing until they reached the downed shuttle.

“There is quite a walk to the human colony. The weather is still bad. I noticed earlier some caves not far from here. We should take shelter there until it passes. “

Lt. Mike Stone

“I only have one question what kind of wild animals are on this world and are they particularly fast and large” Luna asked as they heard out.
Ensign Luna

“I think the most dangerous animal on the planet is the human. By far it’ll do the most damage with its colonization. So don’t worry about anything actually attacking you.” Mike replied with cold, nearly sarcastic sounding voice.

Lt. Mike Stone, CE

“Yah I’m more concerned about that can move faster then I can shoot I encountered one on are last mission that attacked myself and another officer it almost killed me. If I’m acting out of caricature sir near death exstentions have an effect on a person. I’m my case showing me I’m not always faster then my opponent which can leave the people I’m trying to protect voluble” she said. It was pretty clear that the incident she refuted to had affected her confidence.
Ensign Luna

“In the caves should be safe from any animal. It should shield us from the rain as well, and as far as I know nothing lives there.” Mike again urged the people to move.
“The wounded should come as well. It’s not safe here at this derelict.”

Lt.Mike Stone, Ce

Kristi had fallen silent but was monitoring the group from engineering. It wasn’t to see who might come up on them, she figured Luna and the others quite capable of protecting everyone. She was watching because Mike had seemed frustrated more than usual. She wasn’t sure if it was the planet, the technology, or the colonists. She just knew she felt better watching their comm badges move across the terrain map on her console.

Luna simply nodded and followed . She pulled her blaster out and continued to scanned the area.

OOC: So Stone is supposed to be possesed since the weather station and his possesor wanted to lure you all into the cave nearby. Since we lost GM i guess that’s not happening any longer.

OOC: From my understanding of the sim plan we are very close to the end of the sim and the cave is integral to the solution. I would very much like the sim to be completed so continue with your arc - I’ll message you by email / Discord later on to chat about what we both know of the sim plan.

Mike looked up into the sky. “Well the weather is clearing up nicely. Since we’re already at the shuttle, maybe we can secure the perimeter and see if we can salvage it or not. Let me see what our eyes in the sky can see.

=/\= Lt. Mike Stone to USS Viking. How’s the status of the salvage operation for our shuttle. Is there any plan in progress already, anyshuttle’s available? Can we count on the colony for any help as well, if they have shuttles of their own?” =/\= He inquired.

Lt. Mike Stone, CE

=/\=Guido here. We’re waiting for confirmation from Colony ops that their systems are virus free before we dispatch another shuttle. We have several ready for launch, but the colony have grounded their own shuttles pending further investigation.=/\= came the NE’s response over the comm.

The scans of the cave indicated no life signs, but their was evidence that indicated that was not entirely naturally occurring despite visual appearances.

-Jim

“is the cave system connected to the colony” Luna asked.
Ensign Luna

Kristi was listening and her bottom lip slid between her teeth. Something was off with Stone. “Get a grip, woman… he’s on a strange planet, equipment he doesn’t understand and is ill prepared for, and now has wounded to care for. Of ‘course’ he sounds ‘off’.” She smiled a bit when he mentioned the caves because it seemed more like him to recommend cover, especially with their security officer having wings. Nodding to herself that all was right, she kept the comm open and awaited another chance to help from her place in orbit.

Kristi
Engineer

((bump?… been gone, is this dead?))

OOC: Sorry, my bad. Thanks for the bump.

There was no passible connection between the caves, however a scan would show that a fast flowing underground river flowing through part of the caves lead towards to colony. Cross referencing with the colony blueprints would show this as the same river as the colony’s water source.

Ensign Luna remained quiet and on edge. She looked around constantly. Something felt off about the CE but she was not sure what. She would keep and eye on him until they got back to bace.

After taking shelter for about 20 minutes or so there was the sound of a transporter and a number of amber whisps appeared in the cave. The aliens had been returned to their homes.

The seemed cautious of the away team, but were not agressive. The aliens were communicating with each other telepathically and Stone would be aware of what had been happening in the Admiral’s office.

‘The hostages are not needed once our families are home,’ Nevin’s alien had said telepathically to Stone’s, ‘We are peaceful people, let us not abandon who we are.”

Luna opened her wings and took a low combative stance. As the aliens appeared. She was not about to be caught off guard but a potentially dangerous people. ” Who are you” she said. She did not want a fight but as her usual was ready for one.
Ensign Luna

“Luna stand down,” Stone replied calmly, “you all need to be aware, that these aliens are actually the natives of this planet. It’s the colonists that did us harm.” He said pointing towards where colony was located, a touch of anger apparent, but he quickly calmed down. “It seems the responsible ones have finally seen the error in their ways. If they leave us alone, we’ll leave them alone.”

Lt. Mike Stone, CE

” I need a better explanation,” she said she remand in her defensive stance. ” I’m not about to let my guard down its my responsibility to protect you all” she said she made it very clear she saw the aliens as a threat to the away team.
