OOC: Thought it was about time these two should see each other again
IC: He was trying to forget the computer’s malevolent words, mocking him. Reira had forgotten how evil this damn thing was and he’d shut it up by threatening to assimilate it. Taunting him about his parents and that insufferable brother of his he’d disavowed for joining Section 31, not that he cared what this malignant lump of silicone had to say about him and what happened.

Reira had left the ship for medical leave after suffering multiple component failure. A year later with almost everything replaced by Voyager’s EMH and Seven of Nine, he was back on duty. The Viking was inseparable from him, at least here nobody pulled their children close whenever he walked by or stared at his implants because they feared he might go back to his old ways… A haunted ship seemed like a small price to pay for not being treated like a monstrosity.

He routed his personal replicator commands through the one in the Heorot, inserting his tubules into the control mechanism because if the device messed up his order Reira very much doubted controlling his rage would be possible since he had learned how to feel emotions again after deliberately suppressing them for so long. It had been educational, talking with another ex-Drone since Annika related to what it was like although her father wasn’t a psychopathic murderous maniac. Grabbing the bowl of ramen from the replicator and tasting it, he was surprised. It was nothing like the real stuff from the little back-alleys in Tokyo but instead more like instant ramen with toppings, at least it was recognizable as one of his favourite dishes as he grabbed the pair of silver chopsticks and sat down, looking as the doors opened as he saw a certain half-Klingon he’d missed enter. He stood up straight with his arms behid his back, neat as ever with those piercing dark blue eyes but a smile on his face for once, a rare thing.

“Kara… Can I interest you in some ramen or rokeg blood pie now that I’ve got this petaQ of a replicator working?” He offered, his pronunciation perfect as usual. His lilac hair was shorter and neater, he’d somehow grown an inch or two and he didn’t look so thin that a strong gust of wind could snap him in two anymore.
