The ISS Cerberus sat in its Drydock the crew was just finishing getting settled in and the last preparations for its launch when up on the Bridge crew would be getting ready at their stations NE Campbell at the Communications station spoke up “Captain we are being hailed by Admiral Rivers at High Command” She said turning to her captain a cold hateful glare in her eyes she, of course, wore the revealing female uniform as did all the other female crew members

Gunnar spun around in his central chair “Put her up on the main viewscreen” He said coldly. As usual, he sat calmly stroking his ornate Axe, a sight that filled many with dread, it as widely ‘known’ within the Service that just as many Terrans had lost their lives to the weapon as enemies of the Empire.

The Image of a stern woman with mostly Snow White hair appears on the screen, however, there was a small little patch of Golden Blond left she had her hair in a braided ponytail and ice-cold blue Eyes (Imagine this woman in an Imperial Star Fleet Uniform https://i.redd.it/n0tv0nergyn11.jpg ) This was Admiral Jaina Rivers “Captain Gunnar How are you settling into the Cerberus I trust the Hades class is living up to expectations on being the latest powerful weapon for the empire?” she asked giving a haughty smile at the Captain

Gunnar’s facial expression didn’t change, he only nodded slowly “It’s an impressive vessel” He said simply.

After he replied she continued ” Now onto your orders You and the other Hades Class Battlecruisers are to launch and perform your Shakedown cruises You have free reign to conduct your Shakedown how you wish Set whatever course you want After conducting the standard trials as well as ironing out whatever inefficiencies and problems that come up I will be separating the Hades class ships into groups and we will conduct wargames with your sister ships depending on what comes up in the tests some may need to come back to dry dock for whatever” She said giving the Captain the ships first set of orders

Admiral Rivers

This time his eyebrow was raised slightly “A shakedown cruise and wargames.” He let the words hang for a moment “So we shall” A slight smile crept upon his face “You’ll have our results in a few hours” He said with the same neutral, cold tone of voice.

“Very good on a personal note I am glad you got one of these with you in command it will be a formidable weapon for the will of our Empress” she said giving quite an evil smile “Keep those Xeno scum in line Captain Admiral Rivers out!” she said as the call ended At that moment, Ensign Campbell spoke up “Captain Drydock control has given us clearance to launch on your orders Captain!” she barked

Ferl’lak hated this Admiral. He would have to meditate extra long tonight.

Ensign Cambell was a small mousy woman with bright red hair and a scar that ran down over her left eye she like all the others had the hateful look of ambition in her brown eyes “Communications Ready!” she reported quickly

NE Campbell

“Xeno Scum Science Station online Captain. Sensors online and everything in good working order.” He said in his cold Vulcan tone.

Walking over to the Captain’s Chair the XO inquired, “Shall I give the orders to clear all moorings, sir?”

XO

“Everything is ready and operational, engines at optimum efficiency,” Shawe reported, checking in for launch

Gunnar nodded “Then get us out of here and set a course” He paused, tapped a few commands into his chair, bringing up a few locations on the Viewscreen “These are colonies suspected of harboring rebel sympathies and giving them shelter, choose one as our testing grounds” He said calmly.

“Aye sir” responded the XO.

Looking at the communication officer he said, “Let the dock master know we are getting underway.”

Then looking over at the helm he ordered, “Helm clear all moorings and talk us out. Set course for (orders the course for one of the testing grounds) and as soon as we clear space dock set engage at warp 5.”

OOC Just FYI It is well established that regulations are to warp in and out of a system at the outer edge of said system now of course in canon Trek has played very lose with this but I will be assuming that Gunnar and crew would be sticking to that regulation :P

The helmsman brought the ship out of its drydock the ISS Cerberus gliding gracefully out as the arms and hoses that had connected it to the Drydock retracted far bigger than the aging Dictator class and Conquistador classes she had the same style the Saucer and the Pylons leading to the twin Nacelles appeared to have once been a far smaller ship and in fact, that was the case Starfleet had taken 10 mothballed Dictator class starships stripping them down to their very frames and rebuilding them from the ground up the Stardrive section which got tacked on with two more Pylons connecting to the Nacelles the front of the saucer showing the cut out of the former main deflector the dish and components of which had been left in place this was the ships Back up deflector now the main one sporting a round radar dish came off the front of the stardrive section right below the neck and she was bristling with weapons

As the ship cleared the space dock she turned and headed towards the outer edge of the system once in the clear she could jump to warp “Course laid in captain for the Delmise System” he said with a bored sigh waiting for the Engage order to be given

Gunnar absentmindedly stroked his axe like one would a pet, his eyes narrowed as he looked intently at the viewscreen “When we have a stable warp bubble speed us up to maximum warp. I want to see what these engines can do, start our dry run fast” He said to the helmsman “Go!” He gave the command quietly and without pomp.

Abi sat at tactical she was excited to see what the ship and more importantly it’s weapons could do. Abi always believed that boots on the ground was the best way to win a battle but the new weapons systems on the Cerberus would certainly make things a little easier. She was also happy that the COS had been removed now she had full run of the ship and its offensive systems. She now also had full control of the security of the ship. She hopped someone would need executing, she hadn’t executed anyone for far to long.

Mar. Capt Graham (MACO CO)

Commander O’Dell stood on the bridge next to the Captain and watched the stars as they flew by at the Captain’s order. Then making the usual sign he said loudly “Long live Captain Gunnar and long live the Empire!”

He waited for the crew to respond!

OOC Ok Folks we are going to be having a slight change of plans so I am skipping over the Shakedown and instead we will have something even better

The ship jumped to warp climbing quickly and once stable at the cruising speed of Warp 4 it continued to climb with the Helm officer calling out warp 5,,,warp 5.5…warp 6…6.1 6.2 6.3 6.4 6.5…” The ship began to shake as the ride began to get very bumpy as the speed continued to climb until finally, they hit Warp 7 however the ride was rough a couple of Ensigns were stumbling around losing their footing “Sir we are at our max speed” the ensign reported sounding quite bored

it was a good while before the Cerberus was to reach the colony in question so the crew ran its drills onboard the ship everything was working perfectly they arrived at a colony and after delivering the standard announcement and such after conducting all tests Communications reported. “Sir we are being hailed by Admiral Rivers again!”

Gunnar raised an eyebrow in moderate surprise, he doubted that his plans would bother anyone at Command, having a display of strength at one of their colonies was not an unprecedented thing “On Screen” He said simply.

The Admiral appeared on-screen “Sorry Captain but there has been a change of plans” she looked very frustrated She brought up a small video feed that showed the ISS Persephone being towed into a Drydock “Seems Captain Keener and his crew found more than a few components that were not operating correctly yet Keener decided it was a good idea to push the ship to its limits Flew it through an asteroid field overloaded the weapons system and nearly caused a warp core breach…” she sighed bringing her right hand up to rub her eyes It would be at that moment Gunnar might catch a similar Black Obsidian ring on her right hand “Unfortunately We cant replace Keener as he is the only other captain available right now…” she sighed “Anyway due to the Persephone being back in Drydock, for now, I don’t have any War game partners for you and in fact, I think I have a better test for you and your crew” the Admiral said lowering her hand and looking sternly at Gunnar

“The Delmise Colony has been silent for far too long we thought a storm might just be causing a communications blackout however its clear now something has happened Head to the Delmise system and find out what has happened to the colony and deal with it” she ordered

Gunnar placed his head in his right hand for a moment and shook it “Damn fool” Was all he muttered before turning his attention back to the Admiral “It’ll be dealt with Admiral” He said in his icy cold voice. He nodded to the helmsman “Please give Keener my regards, inform him I’m saddened at losing another opportunity at defeating him” His dry and cold voice betrayed no sense of humour nor malice.

Gunnar frowned at the comment, despite being a fool Keener was a Knight of Hades and such an insult could not go unanswered. He made a mental note of finding a way to make that clear to the admiralty, they were not Common commanding officers. He spun around in his chair and looked at his first officer “Set a course for Delmer, commander. Make sure that our engineering staff understands that I won’t have my ship fail as that fool of a man Keener did.”

“Yes, sir replied” Commander O’Dell.

Looking at the helm officer he ordered, “Helm set course for the Delmer system, max warp speed..and engage.”

Flipping open his communicator, the Commander said to engineering…”Prepare for warp speed and don’t fail your Captain or I will be the lot of you in the booth.”

Abi was siting at tactical. she started checking over the tactical systems, as the conversation went on. She also sent a message to her Vixens to get the MACOs ready. She had made sure to tell them to let the other marines know that if anyone failed, Abi would have them thrown in the booth then shot. She did not tolerate failures of any kind from anyone.

Gunnar nodded, he was pleased with how his crew responded, it wouldn’t take long to make them the most feared ship in the quadrant.

Shawe was down in Engineering, monitoring the warp drive, and the staff. Ensuring there were no more mistakes today. Though there was a log of him using one of the booths for a punishment, the details were provided in the report that came to the XO’s chair not long before he announced going to warp. It was also mentioned that it was necessary for something he was working on for the captain. When the order for warp came, he stood at his console and monitored. He didn’t want any of the other engineers to mess up like the tellarite did. He glared at him when the order came through and then monitored the warp drive as they entered warp.
