Astrid was laying against the left arm of the captain’s seat her legs draped over the right arm she was twirling her service dagger in her one hand lightly clearly bored out of her skull time would come when she would as commanding officer of the Cerberus be heading out on an Away mission but now was not yet the time “Sensors you best keep a sharp lookout We are sitting ducks like this” she ordered from her place on the bridgeAstrid
Seeing her twirl the dagger with ease meant she knew how to use it properly and Jean was not about to witness that first hand. “Aye Captain! I’m have two probes out in opposite directions so check for long range assaults and am keeping an eye on the main scanners from the asteroid and their ship. There was movement elsewhere in the asteroid belt, but whatever it was, it wasn’t approaching the Cerberus.

“They are boarding the shuttles as we speak. I will let you know when they launch, sir.”

“Captain! I just picked up movement far away but still in the asteroid belt. It’s not moving to us just keeping distance. I’ll try to pinpoint what it is.”

Renova would detect a ship not much bigger than a shuttlepod. It was traveling erratically, darting from asteroid to asteroid. It seemed to be headed for the asteroid the other ship had emerged from.

“Captain! I have a more exact image. It appears to be no bigger than a shuttlepod and headed for the asteroid that the other ship emerged from. It’s trying to evade us by darting from asteroid to asteroid. There has to be more to that other asteroid?”

I don’t doubt it Drag the target with us back towards that asteroid lets check it out while the Away team deals with the Rebel ship!” she ordered sitting up and looking at the view screen

As the Cerberus swung around, it dragged its disabled target behind and headed back toward the asteroid both foes seemed so invested in. The shuttlepod sized craft cleared the entryway just before the Cerberus obstructed it.

“Damn! Captain. That shuttle for in before we could block the entrance! But that means it’s trapped for now with everything else. Permission to scan?”

Scan the Asteroid I want to know what is going on in there!” she growled a little annoyed that the helmsman failed her but she would adapt

The sensors reported a small outpost built into the interior of the asteroid. There were others of these shuttlepod sized craft docked there.

The scans cane back and Jean shook his head in disappointment. “Fireblast! Captain. Scans show that there is a small outpost built inside the asteroid and there are quite a few other shuttlepod sized ships ducked there!”

“Hail the outpost!” she ordered Prepare all weapons as well get a target lock on their main reactor just to really hammer home they will not get away with ignoring me” she said once again twirling the dagger and demonstration her knife skills
