The time wore by, filled with paperwork and issues about the Dauntless. It was the casual day of the woman who found herself overseeing the madness, while actively participating within it, herself. However, her attention had been less on the mundane topics, than the issues at hand. This Admiral, she did not trust his intentions, nor his wording. This contingent, what was their true purpose? Did it have anything to do with training? And those officers that came with the Admiral, suspicious, as well. She knew she should not be so cautious of the people who were a part of their organization, but it was hard not to be skeptical of people like this.

Checking the time, she turned her gaze form the Chronometer, assuming the good Lieutenant would be on his way, in due time. Narrowing her eyes, she glanced over a PaDD, irritating filling her expression. It seemed that issue after issue arose, like a novel, rising action, falling action, rising action, falling action. When would they get to the climax? That question crossed her mind, but she could not figure out an adequate answer for it. Shaking her head, she adjusted herself behind the desk, setting the PaDD down, to readjust her attention to the monitor.

Aihia knew there was more to the story than any of the members of Dauntless were aware. However, that was not what she needed to discuss with the Chief of Security. No, their conversation went along with it, but would have an antithesis topic.

Dan arrived at the Captain’s office, hoping he wasn’t too late for this meeting she had so abruptly called. He had spent a fair bit of time curious as to its nature. He stepped up to the door and pressed the chime.

Aihia was never known for being the most easy of people to read. She often did things others did not expect from her, calling meetings at the drop of a hat or making decisions that her fellow officer’s would normally doubt, in the beginning. Perhaps it was that Romulan in her blood, the calculated hotheadedness that so easily made up a great portion of her personality.

“Come!” She called. Upon entering, Dan would find the wiry captain nestled beyond her desk, which would quickly change when she came to notice who was behind those doors. It was evident her time had been occupied by whatever was on her screen, paperwork, one might assume.

“You called for me Captain?” Dan asked as he moved into the room. “It seemed urgent, by your tone.”

-Lt(j.g.) Dan Vladar, CoS

“Yes, it is. Please have a seat, Vladar.” The woman did not seem in the mood to mess around. Whatever was on her mind, seemed to be worthy of consideration.

Dan sat down across from the Captain, somewhat suspicious of what might concern her so.

“I trust I am not tugging you from any of your duties?” She inquired, raising an eyebrow towards the security chief, to make certain he was not being robbed of time for his people.

“No sir. Nothing I couldn’t leave to my team.”

-Lt(j.g.) Dan Vladar
