Sitting back in her ready room, what going through the different reports submitted to her earlier that day, Aihia figured it would be best to check into some of the other issues aboard the ship, at the moment.

=^=Aihia to Si’Rek. Do you have a moment to spare? I was wondering you and Argeneau had any new information on the situation with the delegates’ quarters.=^=

She kept it vague, simple, but still to be understandable by anyone who knew the situation.

The response was immediate. =/\= On my way to you, Ma’am. =/\= and less than two minutes later there was the sound of the chime on her ready room door.

Si’rek, XO / CE

Aihia did not feel the immense need to give much more of a response, ready and waiting once the chime sounded at her door. “Come in!” She called, from where she was tucked away behind her desk, studying a PaDD.

The doors opened and Si”rek stood framed in the doorway. He entered the room and said simply “May I sit, Captain?”

Si’Rek, XO / CE

“Please,” She gestured for the man to take a seat across from her. Placing the PaDD away, she turned to the man, her gaze somewhat bland.

Si’Rek sat and said “Captain, we have gone through every diplomatic quarter. All were similarly compromised. I pulled every record of maintenance that I ‘supposedly’ signed off on and cross-checked it with my records. Fortunately, it seems the visitor’s quarters were the only place that was breached.”

Si’Rek, XO / CE

“Any ideas why, Commander?” Aihia inquired, tapping her fingers against the base of the tabletop. “It might be fortunate for us, but it doesn’t escape the fact that someone is targetting these delegates. And we have to figure out who the hell it is before they’re knee deep in negotiations and suddenly one of them is on the kill list. Now, I’m not saying that is going to happen, but we cannot put something that extreme off our list.”

Captn. Aihia

“From what I can tell… it is simply a way to track the coming and going of the room’s occupants. Nothing sinister in and of itself, but it does lead to more… disturbing… questions.”

Si’Rek, XO / CE

“Such as, Commander?” Aihia rose an eyebrow, glancing over at the Commander. She wondered what ‘questions’ were coming to mind.

Captn. Aihia

‘Like ‘How in the hell did someone get on this ship and falsify the records?’, Captain. And then ‘Who the hell knew we were even going to be using those quarters?’ We didnt even know that when the work was done.”

Si’Rek, XO / CE

“Then perhaps the people who should be observed, are the ones who were a part of the team who handled the quarters.” Aihia advised.

“Thats part of the problem, Captain. We didn’t have anyone in that area. No work was scheduled or ordered.” he replied. The anger that someone had infiltrated his logs and department working was obvious on his face. Si’Rek was particularly possessive of his Engineering department and his staff, and the anger at their being used was more than evident.
