The first thought that crossed Lt. Prinz Esthers mind as she entered the Observation Lounge was this is not the room I thought it was, but then she mentally shrugged and though it’ll do. She’d been meaning to find the Mess Hall or Crew Lounge and get a drink and maybe something to eat, but here would work just as well. As well versed in ships as she was, part of her ability to find her way around them without needing schematics was plain dumb luck. But she was here now, and it might work out quite well as now she’d get a nice view of the stars while she was here.

Spotting an empty seat near the window, she made her way over too it and sat down, ordering some Tulaberry wine and Hasperat from a passing waitor. She was dressed in a brown Bajoran tunic and pants that suited her frame in a modest but flattering way. While she waited she leaned back in her seat enjoying the buzz of the ship and it’s crew, and watched the passing stars.

Suddenly a male snow leopard approached Lt. prinz. The cat had come up from behind her walked around the bench and was one sitting in front of her. His ice blue eyes wached her intently there was an intelligent behind his eyes. He wore a coller made of silver the metal was cut in a way to look like snowflakes. Both his name Snowflake and crystal’s name we’re engraved into it. Crystal was not far behind him but she remained out of sight for now wondering how the new LT would react to snowflake.

The half-bajoran stood up, taking a slow step back her hand hovering over her combadge. Her eyes were wide with fright. She’d never seen a Leopard before and had no idea what to expect from the creature before her. The thing before her kind of resembled an Earth pet cat, but those creatures were much smaller than the animal before her and they could be vicious enough. She trembled to think of the damage this thing could cause. But as time passed and the animal made no obvious move to attack her, her fearful expression was rewritten with a curious one. Her eyes spied the collar and the name tag, and all fear faded from her stance, it was obvious now that this Snowflake was somebody’s pet. Slowly, so as not to startle the Snowflake, she streched her arm out towards it, her palm flat, and watched to see what the animal would do.
