Separated from the chaos ensuing in Cargo Bay 4, the elderly doctor had managed to remove Admiral Lockehart’s body from the scene. With the help of two security officers, their ego stronger than the will for a stretcher, the man lay atop a table in the medical labs–seperate from patients outside. Although cold in her nature, T’Aria did not believe placing a deceased body with living patients was the kindest of notions.

=^=Dr. T’Aria to Lt. Prinz.=^= She pressed her hand to the commlink resting on her chest. Of the people aboard Dauntless, doctors and scientists were the most capable in determining what had happened to Lockehart. =^=Please come to the Primary Sickbay, lab 1. Your assistance here would be greatly appreciated. Sickbay, out.=^=

Examining the body, T’Aria slipped on gloves to ensure her safety. She had her speculations about the Admiral’s mysterious death, but she trusted Prinz would have ideas of her own.

Dr. T’Aria, resident M.E.

Scowling at a plant that was determindly wilting in her quarters, Esther hit the comm link =^= Acknowledged Doctor, I’m on my way. Prinz out.=^= Giving the plant another pointed glear, Esther pointed at the poor plant with an accusatory finger. “You had better look lively when I arrive back, or I’m drowining you.” She stood up and grabbed her uniform jacket hurriedly putting it on as she stepped out into the corridor. Mysteriously wilting plants aside, she was curious about what Sickbay might want with her. Perhaps she would be able to ask someone there why her plant was so determind to die no matter how frequently she watered it.

Several minutes later she entered Sickbay Lab one stopping breifly when she saw the Admirals body laid out on the table. “What’s this?” the Bajoran asked, stepping closer and grabbing some gloves of her own and putting them on. “By the Prophets he looks worse than my pot plants.”

“I would suppose he is much more deceased than any of your potted plants, Lieutenant.” T’Aria glanced up from her scans, adjusting the spectacles perched upon the bridge of her nose. “Rear Admiral Lucius Lockehart; Diplomacy division. He was found deceased at 1503hrs, this afternoon, in Cargo Bay 4. Among other oddities, there was no sign of strangulation or physical harm.”

The Doctor handed Prinz a PaDD, “This is the information we currently have on the Admiral.”

STARFLEET PERSONNEL FILE
Lockehart, Lucius V.
SERIAL NUMBER: HY-291-0716-Zn
RANK: Rear Admiral DIVISION: Diplomatic Corps
AGE: Forty-Six SEX: M SPECIES: Terran

The file went on to explain the Admiral’s past ailments, both physical and mental. It gave away his family, and brief history. However, they would be more concerned with his medical health.

“So an Admiral is dead for unknown reasons. I don’t see how this involves me. I’m not a doctor,” Prinz crossed her arms and frowned.

“Currently, I am the only Medical Examiner aboard this ship.” She remarked, “Seeing as you are among the brightest of your division, I figured you may be helpful in examining Admiral Lockehart for cause of death.” She paused, a smirk taunting her lips before it quickly faded, “I also figured you may be interested in a…tangible specimen.”

Dr. T’Aria, M.E.

A tangible specimen… that had clearly piked the Lieutenants interest. “What sort of specimen?” she asked curiously as she scrolled idly through the information on the PADD reading the odd piece of information.
