Heather had left the Captain and the XO who also happened to be her chief with the instructions to talk to the Chief of Security and see if they could gain any more information on who could be causing problems and filing reports under the CEO’s numbers. Unfortunately, Heather could have been the one to work in the area or entered the area while she had been repairing the saboteurs work on the delegate quarters and the ambassador’s quarters as well. As she made her way from the lift to the CoS’s office she hit the chime to let the man know someone was looking to talk to him.

Heather Argeneau, Eng

Dan wasn’t expecting any visitors, and would’ve been happier left alone. “Come in.” He said gruffly from within his office.

-Lt.(j.g.) Dan Vladar, CoS

Heather made her way in knowing before she reached the desk that he’d rather not be bothered, but she had her orders. “Ensign Heather Argeneau,” She introduced herself, “Captain requested I work with you on finding out who’s been sabotaging the delegates and Ambassador’s quarters everything we’ve collected so far is on that PADD crossed with crew’s identification, bio-signatures, the works we just couldn’t figure out who was actually the culprit,” She told him honestly. She understood as CoS he was an important man, but if he thought his gruff tone was going to scare her off like some 16-year-old kid he had another thought coming.

Heather Argeneau, Eng

He looked over the PaDD. (OOC: I’ve been away, so feel free to fill in any blanks here.) Information: wiring for the Delegate and ambassador quarters was wired through the sensors and doors as if to record how often they were opened, the work was recorded as being done by commander Si’Rek. Though Commander Si’Rek hadn’t touched the quarters and are looking to sabotage, (OOC: check out https://star-fleet.com/core/xfleet/dauntless/notes/2335/ (the one with the actual work was sadly lost :()

“Have a seat Ensign. So far what you have is good, but it’s computer data. Think. Who could get into that area unnoticed? Engineers and security. Familiar enough with ship systems to sabotage them, Engineer. Sabotage is likely done during the day when a repair to a system in an area like that will be just business as usual because the chief is likely on duty and engineering as at its most lively. We’re likely looking for a night shift engineer. Has the uniform and the equipment, but isn’t on shift during the sabotage. Let’s cross-reference that with your PaDD, shall we?”

-Lt(j.g.) Dan Vladar, CoS

Heather did take a seat and she listened to him, “That’s the thing though we’ve thought of that and there are several Engineer’s myself included who could have done it, we’ve been unable to narrow it down further. I remember someone walking by, several someones really but no one who took a specific interest in what I was doing to stand out in my memory,” Heather frowned and shook her head.

Heather Argeneau, Eng.

“You didn’t take specific notice. Unlikely to be an exotic species. Likely someone you have had regular contact with, blends into the background.” He knew he needed to eliminate this Ensign as much as anyone else. He locked eyes with her. He knew she wouldn’t be easily intimidated. A mix then. He pulled his sleeves up slightly, exposing more metal of his cybernetic arm. He placed a metallic fist gently on his desk. “Ensign. What do you know about our visitors?”

-Lt.(j.g.) Dan Vladar

“Not much, All I did was work on their quarters and repair all the wiring that had been poorly installed to begin with,” Heather said honestly looking the man in the eye. She wasn’t intimidated by the metalic fist or arms she had little nano’s in her blood so she knew all about altered bodies. “Why is there something I should know?” She asked arching one brow curiously.

Heather Argeneau, Eng.

“You know, I’m sure, how important these people are considered. And that any attempt to sabotage their living space is potentially also a political statement. Or power move, you can never be too sure with these things until they’re done. You have no knowledge of the nature of the delegation’s visit? Then we find someone who does. Alright. Which engineers do you work closest with? We’ll start there.” If Ensign Argeneau had done it, she would show some sign as he went through, accusing her friends. If not, this would be the way to search.

-Lt.(j.g.) Dan Vladar, CoS

OOC: I’m sooo sorry about my lateness still getting used to the new job.

IC: Unfortunately, Lt. Vladar, I only just returned to the ship I was working alone and have yet to make friends with anyone on the ship. So if you are questioning my friends you’d find none.” She told him pausing, “Though yes I agree this may have been political or a show for power, Nor do I know why the delegates are coming aboard ship,”

The chime to the office sounded as the two were in discussion.

Si’Rek, XO/CE

“I’m sorry Ensign. I wasn’t expecting anyone.” He resigned himself to this day not being what he was planning. “Come in.”

-Lt.(j.g.) Dan Vladar, CoS

“Of course Lieutenant,” She said having an idea who it might be from the sound of the footsteps that had approached the door.

The door slid open to reveal the XO standing in the doorway. He ducked slightly as he came in and said “Apologies for disrupting your conversation Chief, but I thought this would best be discussed in person. Would you mind if I join you two?”

Si’Rek, XO/CE

“Of course. What can I do for you, sir?”

-Lt.(j.g.) Dan Vladar, CoS

Heather looked to Si’Rek wondering if he thought she couldn’t handle this on her own.

Heather Argeneau, Eng

Si’Rek handed the Security Chief a PaDD. “All personnel listed on the Engineering roster for the past thirty days, all leave requests, and all reported sick and unable to work during that time.” he said and looked at Heather as he took a seat.

Si’Rek, XO / CE

Heather sat and listened, Unlike her family, she wasn’t one to just go into another person’s mind. She was tempted to do so though considering the man was being somewhat difficult and it confused her as to why he was. She watched her Chief and looked to the Security Chief wondering how he would respond to this.

“Alright. This is good. People with uniforms and kit, who wouldn’t have been on duty. He showed the PaDD to the Ensign. Any of these people seem familiar?

-Lt.(j.g.) Dan Vladar

Si’Rek looked at Heather and waited for her response.

Si’Rek, XO/CE

Heather reached for the PaDD to look at the names on the list. Heather had only recently returned she did not know most of these officers. She frowned trying to remember if there was an officer around while she was working.

OOC: not sure if this is a GM decison or not.

Argeneau did not remember seeing any of the personnel on the list near her while she was working, but a thought was jogged in her mind. A security officer came past her more than a few times, and watched what she was doing. She did not recognize him, but she was not intimately familiar with that section’s staff.

Vortex

OOC: Bump, for CoS/eng, when she returns.
