Sherlock gave it a though a moment and then nodded, “I would love to, thank you.” Shifting on foot to walk on Omni’s right.

Lieutenant Grimes, COps

OOC: Bump for James, seeing as this ship is his creation. ;)
Trin

OOC: Actually, Trin. It’s yours. Run with it as you see fit.

OOC: Oh.. okay! I don’t remember if we discussed class, so I’m just going to go with a frigate, seeing as a smaller ship might seem more likely to what the Serenity would get for their first assignedment.

Omni led the way into the engineering deck, which was a turbolift ride from the end of the corridor they had previously endeavored. Upon stepping out, they would find the deck was much smaller than what most starships possessed. Then again, the Dawkens was a frigate, intended to be slim, effective and dexterous. The deck was comprised of the same general figure of a modern ship.. if you consider twenty years prior, to be modern.

“Let’s see if we can get any of these systems online,” Omni remarked. She wanted to know what systems the ship possessed and what there current state was. Of course, the emergency and auxiliary lighting was activated, allowing enough power to light their paths through the ship. However, that did not allot for them looking into the systems, without making certain they were activated. “Judging by the fact this is a frigate, I would assumed the warp coils are much tighter in composition, than it would be for, say, a slower ship.”

She was curious to see what this ship would be capable of, once they managed to get the systems back online, far more than the bare minimum they would be capable of, right now. After all, a frigate could always be of use to the Federation, especially for larger ships such as a heavy cruiser or any form of exploratory vessel. “Since you work in Operations, and likely will be far more apt to doing so, effortlessly, would you mind attempting to reactive them?” She did not wish to take his job from him, after all, he was the operations officer and she was only Intel with basic engineering training.

Lt. Cmdr. Omni
XO

Woods scratched his head as he crawled out from a jefferies tube near by, but doesn’t answer the Operations question. He is covered in dust and grime in a work jumpsuit with lots of tools about his waist.
