“Aye,” Omni submitted, moving to take a seat before a nearby panel, as to begin the transformation of information into strict text format, while ensuring it would be possible for anyone assigned to the station to maintain general communications. It wasn’t difficult task, changing the format communications were received in, however, it was one that would get them into a fair amount of trouble, should their excuse be questioned by those superiors. Typing in the series of commands to the computer responsible for their subspace communications, she silently worked on establishing the differences in comm pathways.

Lt. Cmdr. Omni
XO

Ensign McMoragh did not want to be left out of the mix; after all, if anyone was good at taking a “hit” it was Ensign McMoragh. After all, he had been a Lt (j.g.) two or three times and was busted each time. Yet, he was still in service, so he must be good at something. Looking over at the Captain and XO, he responded, “As the acting CSO, is there anything I can do to help you prepare for the beating that is coming?”

McMoragh

“Absolutely. I need you to start running full sensor sweeps of their ship every five minutes. And when they are about thirty minutes out, I expect you’ll find indications of something non-fatal but quarantine worthy. Get with the CMO for a viable solution. Noting drastic, but something that will keep us from docking them for just a bit… say six or ten hours.”

OOC: Do we have a name for this ship?

OOC: The USS Interror

Also, I am going to start a new thread with the CMO regarding this, if that is okay with everyone?

IC: “Aye, sir, I will get with the Chief Medical Officer straight away and we can start the scans. Thank you for having faith in me, sir.”

McMoragh

Elizabeth had heard rumors from a few of her late night customers about an unexpected guest coming. So she had gone to the command center to see if it was true. Staying off to the side and quiet she just listened. The bar and lounge owner had to wonder if it was someone specific or just someone random, though it wouldn’t matter this was what would be greeting them. She had no idea if Stout would need anything from her, but well, just in case she didn’t turn around and head for the closest lift.

Elizabeth Notta, Civ

Ensign McMoragh saw Elizabeth walk in and not wanting to be rude he looked over and nodded at her. McMoragh knew what it was like to be in a room and really not be there. Ensigns might be apart of Starfleet but, at times, the command crew did not know they existed. In fact, Captain’s left the impressions that if one was an Ensign, he or she was to be seen and not heard.

McMoragh

Elizabeth gave a nod in return to the Ensign that greeted her. She knew a soul that was definitely in need of her bar if ever she saw one. Would open him up just a bit more, she gave him a soft smile as invite to her bar.

Scott raised an eyebrow then pursed his lips in a not bad facial gesture before nodding to the CO. “Aye capt. Rolling brown outs, over taxed power grid, and the occasional toilet that flushes backwards.” He cringes at the thought of the second situation but gives another firm nod, “And one nagging AI to make all of his dreams come true.”

After a moment of silence the engineer then continues, “You know of course if his stay is miserable we could all be sent on other assignments, they may even mothball this place as too expensive to bring up to code. Easier to build a new one.”

CE

“Oh, his stay will be comfortable, Junior over there will see to that. Right, Junior?” he said with a side glance to Notta. “It will just be… problematic. And I’d save the toilet one for anybody that gets ‘pushy’. No, what the Admiral is gonna find is a station left too long to rot in space and a damn fine crew taking it on the chin to make her fit for duty again. Now comes the hard part, people. For every problem we ‘experience’, we are gonna solve two of the real ones we face. We have an Admiral coming on board. Admirals travel with extra everything. Get what you need. Use it. Borrow it. Win it in card games. Steal it it. I don’t care. As far as I’m concerned…” and he looked out the windows towards where the Admiral’s vessel would be approaching from.

“A shopping complex just dropped out of warp.”

Stout, CO

“Oh Aye Chief, I’ll make sure he is as comfortable as a star before it supernovas with my concoctions to keep him occupied.” She smiled knowing her bar would be the hotspot on the Admiral’s tour of the station. She already had her menu planned.

Elizabeth Notta, Civ

“Ok, then. Anyone have any questions? Now’s the time.”

Stout, CO

Ferl’lak listened to everyone and then chimed in when the captain asked for questions. “I’ll go get the accounts in order. But they are already. I always keep track of Latnium. You should know that by now. Is there something else that you need or perhaps....want me to do?”

Ferl’lak

Stout looked at the Head of Civilian Operations and a small grin played over his face. “Actually, Mr. Ferl’lak, there is. You are the Head of Civilian Operations. You answer to the Federation, not Star Fleet. I want you to take every opportunity to remind the Admiral and his staff of that. Understood?”

Ferl’lak smiled! “It will be done. This will be fun! On my end anyway.”

Scott drifts off day dreaming of running through the halls of the Admiral’s ship gutting it of everything short of the drive and bringing it back to the Serenity, but then quickly comes back to reality. “No, No questions sir. I’ll do my best.”

Scott Woods, CE

“In that case, get to it people. Mr. McMoragh, make sure you have a solution to my request in the next 20 minutes.”

Stout, CO

IC:

“Very well, sir I will do my best; however, you really need the answer in the next 20 minutes..um, sir?” asked McMoragh

Riker

Stout’s response was immediate. “Yep. I want them 30 minutes away at impulse when we tell them to stop so they can address their ‘issue’. Get on it, Mr. MacMoragh. Clock’s ticking.”

Stout, CO

Ferl’lak left to go do what he was told to do.

Ferl’lak

“Anyone else? If not, let’s get cracking.” Stout said firmly.

Stout, CO

Elizabeth gave a nod and turned to head off the command center to head back to her bar.

Elizabeth Notta, Civ

“Junior. Hold on a minute. A word, if you don’t mind.” Stout said and waved her over to where he was seated.

Stout, CO

Elizabeth gave a nod and made her way over to the captain’s chair, “What can I do you Chief?” She asked. She had always called him chief and she would always call him chief.

Elizabeth Notta, Civ.

Stout looked at her and gestured for her to lean in. In a very low whisper, low enough not to be heard by anyone else on the bridge, he said “Eyes and ears open on anyone… and I mean anyone… from that IG’s ship who comes into your place. I want to know everything they say. Come to my office every morning, ten am. You’ll sit down with me and the XO and we can go over it. Think you can help me out with that, Junior?” He had always called her Junior and he would always call her Junior.

Stout, CO

She did lean down, and smiled softly so anyone trying to listen in would think he’s talking personal to her instead of asking her for help to keep an eye on things. “Yeah I can do that.” She said in a whisper as low as his giving him a wink.

Elizabeth Notta, Civ

Stout looked away and smiled slightly as if they were sharing a ‘moment’ and said normally “That’s what she said.” and went back to reviewing where the Interior was currently.

Stout, CO

Elizabeth laughed at that and slapped him on the shoulder before moving to leave the Command Center again. “Oh well she said a lot of things didn’t she.” Elizabeth purred as she moved away from him.

Elizabeth Notta, Civ.

Without looking up, Stout grinned. “Yep. Security risk, that one.”

Stout, CO

Scott snorted at the exchange between Elizabeth and the captain buit then excused himself as quickly as he could heading off to engineering to loosen a few bolts and make a could of poor life choices.

CE Woods

Yuri had already been trying to ponder what could be done to delay the admiral for scans along with the science officer. Perhaps a minor pathogen they picked up on their journey? That would require knowing where they had been, might not work.. Though they still had the radioactive transport ship still in the yard .. That could require a bit of scanning if it had been leaking into the area. At a small amount starship sensors wouldn’t really pick it up, but if we told them to check certain coordinates nearby at the ship it would definitely register as radioactive. The scanning wouldn’t hold them up for long, but he could quickly set up a small decontamination station at the docking port as they’re delayed to perform some minor decon for everyone that steps aboard to prevent any ‘radioactive particles’ from entering the station. Tuning back into everyone’s conversations he eventually spoke back up. “Glad you enjoy Captain, new blend.” He held up his thermos in case the Captain wanted a refill. “I am sure we can come up with plan to hold them up using radioactive transport we have been in process of cleaning. Ship might have leak?” He shrugged indicating his feigned ignorance. “Would hold them up for small moment for scans, but real hold up would be decontamination.”

Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)

Riker looked over at the Chief Medical Officer, sir, what do you have in mind? I will help you anyway possible.”

Riker
Stout shook his head. “Doubt it. Their shields would block it. You and the CSO come up with something, though. “

Stout, Co

Yuri took a sip from the tiny looking thermos cup in his large hands. “Ensign McMoragh, we can make use of Medical to plan strategy .. not sure if Science wing is operational yet?” He looked back towards the Captain already wondering how he could try and delay the ships arrival. “By your leave, sir?”

Lieutenant Yuri Balashov (CMO)

Stout didn’t look up, simply waved Yuri and McMoragh to get on with it.

Stout, CO

Sherlock gave a stretch as he came in, giving a slight bit of a yawn. He wasn’t going to go into details of why he’d requested a temporary leave of abscence. “Everyone miss me?”

Lieutenant Sherlock Grimes, COps

“‘Miss’ is a rather relative term, Lieutenant.” Omni informed, watching the panels, after completing the transformation of information into a text format. Turning her head, she observed the remainder of the command center, but said nothing more.

Lt. Cmdr. Omni
XO

“Come on, admit it, you missed me.” Sherlock gave a smirk a moment, and moved to log in and check his station and what all they had screwed up while he’d been gone.

Lieutenant Sherlock Grimes, COps

Stout didn’t look up but said flatly “Lieutenant. Welcome back. Get caught up on our current predicament, and tell me how you intend to help out. Report in 30 minutes.” and he stood up and walked into his office.

Stout, CO

Sherlock leaned over a little more and just grinned from ear to ear. “Oh this is going to be so much fun.”

Lieutenant Sherlock Grimes, COps

Hearing what he said the young Ensign replied, “Speak for yourself, sir.”

McMoragh

He stopped a moment, lifting his head and looked curious. “You don’t think so?”
