All,We need to take a vote on what we want to see done with the station. I will be stepping down as CO, as time is in short supply with my Main Fleet obligations.
If the station is to continue we will need a new CO, and possibly an XO as I believe Trinity is experiencing the same demand (please feel free to correct me if I am speaking out of turn and misunderstood our previous conversation, Trin.) I have contacted several of you with regards to taking on the CO responsibility, but no one has had the time or desire to take that on, which is understandable as it is a lot of work.
So we have a few choices before us:
- You can select a new people for the command staff, minimum a new CO, and I will transfer command to them. Even with my departure, you will still have one more person on the roster above the minimum required staffing. You will need to put someone into the Security / Police role, as all DH spots have to stay filled in order to remain viable. If anyone else leaves, you will be very close to falling below staffing levels required.
- We can voluntarily decommission the station, which will give us a bit more headway if we decide to bring it back at a later date as we will know who had an interest in it prior and we can have a roster ready for submission fairly quickly.
- You can ‘let it ride’ and try to recruit a new CO from outside.
Whatever is decided, the station must have someone in the CO role. I will remain in the spot to keep the station active until a decision is reached, but don’t expect much in the way of posting (I will as I can, but it will sparse).
So I think we should put this to a vote here (tried on Discord, but only one person responded). Does the station continue, or do we mothball her and bring her back at a later date?
