OOC: Sorry for the short startIC: Kestiana Sahal stepped off the lift and made her way towards the Captain’s ready room where she hit the Chime to let him know that there was someone requesting entry and his attention.

Hearing the bell the Commander responded, “Come!”
Commander Sideman
Kestiana Sahal made her way inside at the response to her request. “Lt. Commander Kestiana Sahal reporting as ordered.” the half-Betazoid said as she came to stand at attention in front of the Captain’s desk. Though she had been enjoying her retirement, she was actually glad to be back in space.
Lt. Cmdr. Sahal, XO
The Captain looked up and responded, “Please sit down and call me Michael; I have never been one for rank.”
Taking a sip of his tea, he looked over....Commander....may I call you Kestiana..would you like some tea?”

IC: “Most people call me Kes, but if you prefer Kestiana that’s fine as well.” Kes said with a soft smile. “And yes I would love some tea.” She said softly.
IC: “Okay, Kes it is.....” responded the Commander.
Handing Kes some tea he continued, “Well, Commander, there has just been a big turn over in this command and I think we have our work cut out for us, don’t you agree?
CO
“I would, considering we’re the ones taking over this station as the command team.” Kes agreed as she accepted the tea and took a sip of it.

Responding Michael stated, “I am glad to hear that Commander, because I do believe we have our work cut out for us. In fact, from what I have seen of the officers and crew here, um…we have some interesting people. For instance, this Ensign MacMoragh is up for promotion but he has been to a court-marital....just crazy.”
Handing the Commander a padd he continued,
“Commander, please study the crew files and get to know each of them…our lives could depend on it one day, clear?”

Kes accepted the Padd, “Of Course Captain.” She said looking down at the list of names. “I think I will start with this Ensign MacMoragh and see if I can figure out what makes him tick.” She said softly.
