It was 2130 hours and Ensign Riker MacMoragh was in operations on watch. It had been a long watch as there was only him and two others present. Of course, after all the trouble that MacMoragh had caused, it was amazing he was still in Star-fleet, so MacMoragh did not complain. Since the station is not a ship there was no center chair; instead, MacMoragh sat at his regular duty station which faced the “big screen.” While performing a few light duties an alert arose.

NE Ensign: Sir, we have an opening forming in space…

McMoragh: How far out?

NE Ensign: About four minutes in a shuttle craft, sir.

MacMoragh: Put it onscreen.

The viewscreen came on to show what appeared to be a tear in space about the size of the station..

McMoragh: Are you sure we are not seeing something from much farther away, NE Ensign?

NE Ensign: Yes sir, I am sure....this tear in space in right in front of the station.

McMoragh: Okay, that is good enough for me…answered MacMoragh....but in the middle of his sentence another developement occurred.

NE Ensign: Sir, are you seeeing this?

Just then a klingon Battleship appeared from the rift....

McMoragh: That does it......NE Ensign....sound battle stations…do it now!

(OOC: With that our new sim has started; it is supposed to be around 30 days long…I hope you all enjoy.)

The High and Mighty Story-Teller

Ferl’lak was in his office doing paperwork when the alarms went off. “What in the name of Latnium is going on here?!” He stayed in his office since it was very secure and decided not to flood the bridge with questions right now. It s sounds like they have their hands full.

Ferl’lak

OOC: What happened to my character?

OOC: Travis I sent you an e-mail.

CO

Sherlock had just had to go to the bathroom, coming back now, “What in the blazes is going on? Report.”

A shuttle had been on approach when the tear opened and brought forth the Klingon ship. It veered off but not fast enough. The tear grazed the port side of the shuttle taking off the warp nacelle and laying the side open.

Baleer looked up as the side of the shuttle split open like tissue paper, he would have sighed if there had been air. As the shuttle slowly rolled he looked at the ruined stasis bank he’d brought with him and saw the last struggles of the pilot as he succumbed to the vacuum. Standing, he could feel the desiccation of his current body beginning. With some luck, he’d be able to get to the station with minimal damage.

Grabbing the deceased pilot, Baleer made his way to the opening and looked. The station was huge so the timing wasn’t hard. With the body gripped in his teeth, he gave a great push and launched himself towards the station.

The station scanners wouldn’t pick up any life signs, but they would pick up the combined biological mass of Baleer and the pilot rapidly closing on the station.

  • Baleer, CE

Now Red Alert was certainly warranted. Taking over for the officer on watch. “Call the Captain and XO to get up here. Scan for life signs and beam them to sickbay if any. I am aware that will drop the shields. Do it and hail the Klingon ship. I want to know what the hell just happened.” As so would the Captain and Executive Officer, Sherlock was sure. “I go to take a leak and this mess happens…”

OOC: Good responses…
the scans would show no clear life signs....it was as if the ship just appeared with no crew…
Storyteller.

Finally making it to the bridge, the Commander Sideman stated, “Report!”

Sideman

Commander Sahal was right behind Commander Sideman and was wondering what was going on as well but with the Captain’s call for report she didn’t call for it again and waited while she used her betazoid senses to see if she could sense anything from the shuttle or surrounding space.

Sahal, XO

Baleer’s emotions would come across as a very alien presence for Sahal.

“With all due respect, Commanders. I am still trying to establish that, so please hold.” Sherlock waiting for answers to his questions, or…orders, before resigning to turning command over.

The body of the shuttle pilot drifted towards the station ops center’s view port, Baleer wasn’t much more than a black shape against the blackness of space behind the pilot that was still locked in his jaws, except for the glowing red eyes. The ivory points of his claws were easily lost in the star field behind him as he reached towards the transparent material he was rapidly closing on.

  • Baleer, CE

As Baleer made contact with a noticeable thump, he didn’t bounce. His claws touched and held, digging slightly into the surface of the of the view port. His eyes roamed the interior looking at the officers on the deck. He tapped the material with a claw making a distinctive tink tink sound as small dimples formed under the claws. Then he pointed at a console.

If they didn’t get Baleer in soon, he’d have to release both bodies and see if there was anything, or anyone, in the station he could take.

With everything going on at once Sideman had to assume command. “Somone find out who is in that shuttle and allow them to dock” he ordered.

Turning to the XO, he continued, “If we can’t raise the crew on that Klingon ship, we will have to go see ourselves. Commander, take a boarding party, and make sure you have security with you, and find out what the hell is going on.

OCC: I am sorry I was absent for a few days; between family and taking a rest from school, time just got away from me.

OOC: The shuttle was destroyed. It’s floating in space with the side ripped wide open by the spatial tear that the Klingon ship came through. And Baleer isn’t invisible as he’s tapping on a C&C view port, unless C&C doesn’t have windows looking out into space. LOL

Sideman

“Sideman, there’s a presence on the outside, I can sense it and if we don’t hurry I don’t think he’s going to make it.” Sahal told the captain as her betazoid empathic sensed the other’s emotions.

Hearing the XO’s thoughts Ensign McMoragh replied, “She is right sir. I am reading a lifeform....sir I recommend that we beam him onto the station.

McMoragh

Responding the command said, “Very well, Mr. MacMoragh bring the lifeform aboard.

Ferl’lak went to the bridge to see what was going on and saw a Klingon ship on the view screen. He gasped. He unlike the others, know about the klingons. He and his species has dealt with them frequently in the past. “How did that ship get here?” He half asked and half demanded to no one in particular.

Ferl’lak

Just then the computer came on…”Intruder alert....unauthorized personnel in operations…”

Turning to see Ferl’ak the commander replied, “Ahh…just in time to assist the commander with her boarding party Mr. Ferl’lak.

Sideman

“Me?!” Ferl’lak asked questionably and in surprise. “I’m a civilian and this suit cost more than half the equipment on this bridge. I’m in no condition to do a boarding party or raid?” He was stunned that anyone would ask him to do such a thing.

Seeing that everyone in Ops was understandably entirely focused on the Klingon ship that had just appeared, Baleer let go of the pilot’s corpse and began making his way towards an airlock. Movement was getting difficult as any fluids in his current body were transitioning to a gas due to the lack of any significant atmospheric pressure causing his tissues to desiccate at a rapid pace. He would definitely need a new body before this was all over.

-Baleer, CE

Ferl’lak

Considering that he’d already ordered to transport the two in space to sickbay ten minutes ago and no one listened, he was more than annoyed. Turning, “I’m going.” Moving to head from Ops to join the away team.

“If it is okay with you, sir, I would like to tag along; I think I could be of use” said MacMoragh.

What most people did not was that Riker was always curious about the Klingon species and he wanted to know more. What a better way than to see the ship.

MacMoragh

BUMP

Ferl’lak was upset that he had to go but stopped when he heard MacMoragh. “Be of use? What can you be of use of? I’m forced to go because my species has had many contacts with the Klingons and I happen to speak and read Klingon so we can take their Latniu....er trade with them. You can protect me. I’ll hire you for that. “

Ferl’lak

Looking over at Ferl’lak, MacMoragh answered, “I could do that, but you don’t have to pay me. I am Starfleet and that is what we do…we protect people.”

MacMoragh

“Yes. I know the rule about not paying even you can get it for free, but a nice bonus wouldn’t hurt. Would it? “

Ferl’lak

The Captain cut in....

“You guys stop talking about this and make it happen. Go with Grimes and find out what is going on with that ship” ordered the Captain.

Then Sideman thought for a minute..

“And Mr. Ferl’lak….nothing there belongs to you.”

CO

Sherlock shook his head, they could argue on the way. Moving to the turbolift and waited for the other two.
