Kestiana Sahal made her way into sickbay where she should be meeting a few security officers and possibly Mr. Ferl’lak was with her. She looked around for the CMO wondering if the life-form beamed into sickbay was conscious or not. She had some questions that needed answering and only he would have those answers.

Kestiana Sahal, XO

OOC: I’m guessing this is where Baleer comes in.

IC: Baleer dwarfed the biobed. He was currently in a quadrupedal stance with one clawed hand teasing at the flakes of freeze dried skin flaking off his shoulder.

“This’ll never do.” he said quietly, his voice gravelly.

  • Baleer, CE

Kestiana could sense the other humanoid, “What will never do?” She asked him as she turned to look at him in his quadrupedal stance like that. “I am Lieutenant Commander Kestiana Sahal, this is Shipyard Serenity. How is it you managed to survive floating around our station? and why were you even out there?” She asked with an arched brow.

Sahal, CE

Even in his quad stance Baleer was still eye to eye with Sahal. Though she could sense him, she couldn’t get a clear emotional read. His feelings were very alien to her and only lent to general feelings. In this case, he felt frustrated but she couldn’t tell by how much. His burning red eyes met her’s and skin flecked off of his lips as the hyena like maw grinned revealing large ivory teeth.

“This body. It’s almost useless now. Freeze dried in the vacuum of space.” he said, his voice sounding like it was coming through dried leaves and broken glass.

Baleer sat, much like an animal. The ceilings were definitely too low for him to stand.

“I’m your new chief engineer. I was arriving when the side of the shuttle I was in opened up like so much tissue paper. My body bank was destroyed in the process, this flesh is merely transitory and I will require a new one, or at least one in better condition.”

  • Baleer, CE

Sahal tried to get a read on his emotions, but they were too alien, and she did not have enough time to sift through them to the core of what he was feeling. Though alien or not she could sense frustration, just not the depths of it. Being new to the station herself she did not have an updated list of the crew already aboard or new member’s arriving. So she did not know if he was lying or not, but she did not get the impression that he was. “What do you mean this is a transitory flesh? and where exactly do you expect us to find you a willing host?” Sahal asked arching one brow even as she noted the flesh flaking off his lips.

Sahal

OOC: You have an EMH in medical but he has to be active.

Storyteller

Baleer’s grin looked like a mangled leer.

“This is merely a shell I have to have to interact with the physical world. When one is destroyed, I have to change to another. I can take dead flesh, but living flesh is more resilient. I can make due with this one for a while longer but it is obviously very damaged.”

  • Baleer, CE

Kestiana watched hesitantly unsure what to do, or why this man jumped from skin to skin. “Computer… Activate the stations EMH.” She said instead thinking it best to get the advice of someone or something medical.

Sahal, XO

Baleer chuckled.

Ferl’lak came in right after the XO. He hated Klingons but loved their Latnium. He hoped it was not one that he rightfully swindled out of millions but more than likely he might be an equivalent to a mob hitman. No one with millions would hurl themselves out of their own ship into space without a suit if they were rich. He did keep a PaDD with known Klingon villains so to speak as not to offend the wrong one, but they all were dangerous. Big, hulking killing machines. They reminded him of that old Earth movie ‘Predator ‘.

“Ok Commander. I am here to translate but be warned, Klingons dislike my species at best, down right hate us most of the time, but put up with us since we provide them with goods and services that they cannot grow or get on Qron’os.....no on Q’onoS. That’s it. Not a very hospitable world if you catch my meaning. “

He turned to look at the big brute and cleared his throat. ” NuqneH. pongwIj ‘oH ferl’lak. QaD neH ropyaH qach. qaS nuq Duj?”

(Hello. My name is Ferl’lak. You are safe in a hospital. What happened to your ship? From: https://www.translator.eu/english/klingon/translation/)

Ferl’lak

The huge black hyena head lowered to look Ferl’lak in the eyes. The eyes literally glowing a deep burning red inspected the Ferengi before looking back into his eyes.

“jIH tuvbogh tlhIngan SoH? (Do I look Klingon to you?)” Baleer said, the dry leaves and broken glass sound of his voice lending itself well to the harsh consonants of the language.

Baleer, CE

Kestiana listened to the two, she didn’t understand Klingon, so she didn’t know what they were saying and wondered where that EMH was that she had called for.

Kestiana Sahal, XO

The EMH came online.

“Please state the nature of your medical emergency.” it stated plainly.

  • EMH

Ferl’lak looked at the supposed Klingon and said in Klingon: “Unfortunately you do but there are some variances that don’t make sense. But you do speak their language. Who and what are you then? We are friends and will help you. Are you in trouble and need our assistance?”

Ferl’lak
