City of Atlantis still open for business (open to all)

Posted May 20, 2019, 4:02 p.m. by Lieutenant Baleer (Chief of Engineering) (David Bennett)

Ferl’lak came up from behind through the kitchen wiping his hands. “Well, Melissa. You passed inspection, which We both knew and you’re good for another year. >>>

” He noticed the hyena looking thing and stopped. “What in the universe is that?” He whispered to Melissa.

Ferl’lak
“I have yet to find out Mr. Ferl’lak,” Melissa pointed out, though with the thieves now under control she was free to do just that. She made her way over to the hyena-like face and said, “Welcome to the City of Atlantis, I apologize for the disruption, I’m the manager Melissa Wofle, and you are?” She asked introducing herself now that security had taken their burdens away and the Captain made himself at home or returned to his business as well.

Melissa Wolfe, B&L Manager

Baleer looked down at the woman who barely came up to his navel.

“I am Baleer, new Chief of Engineering for the station.” he said in a deep voice with sub-harmonics she could feel in her chest as he spoke, “I’m pleased to meet you and I’m especially happy that I can stand up in here.”

The grin was chilling. It was toothy with a long scarlet lolling tongue. That and the glowing red eyes, he looked like he could eat someone’s soul.

OOC: Dunno if she should be terrified of him or awed in his size. 0.0

OOC: Well he is supposed to look scary.

IC: Melissa blinked at the giant werewolf-like creature from fiction. “I am glad you can fit in here as well, but I think you’ve scared off my ribbon dancers.” She smirked finding it amusing how easily some people judge by looks alone.

Melissa Wolfe, B&L Manager

IC: “Yes,” Baleer said quietly with a slight shake of his head, then spreading his arms wide, the sharp yellow claws gleaming on the ens of his fingers, teeth bared, eyes burning scarlet in the black furred face, and loud enough for the entire bar/lounge to hear, “I do seem to have that effect on people.”

The volume wasn’t painful for those up close but his booming voice obviously carried easily through the whole room causing dishware to rattle on tables. Baleer was putting on a show.

Then he shifted to a quadrupedal stance. His head was much closer to Melissa though, even in this shortened posture, his shoulder was still at two and a half meters.

“Whether it thrills them or terrifies them, Most people love a show though many are loathe to admit it.”

Ferl’lak came from behind the bar and walked over. He obviously heard the man not because of his big booming voice but because of Ferl’laks big ears. He held out his hand to shake the werewolf thing. “Pleased to meet you Baleer. I’m Ferl’lak. This ship’s highest ranking civilian and in charge of all civilian matters and affairs. If you need anything please just let me know. ” Ferl’lak was still kind of scared as he was already a foot shorter than Melissa.

Ferl’lak

Baleer hunched down and got close to Ferl’lak, his nose millimeters from Ferl’lak’s nose.

“We’ve met, in sickbay, you thought I was a Klingon. I’ll admit that my body at the time was a bit vacuum desiccated, but I was still nowhere near resembling a Klingon.”

Baleer pulled back and gave the Ferengi a toothy grin.

“But I’m not one to hold a grudge over something so trivial.” he said taking Ferl’lak’s hand and shaking it briskly.

The handshake was a bit rough and shook Ferl’lak, but didn’t hurt him.
