Vonn swept an arm wide indicating a direction for the forensic scientist to take. Vonn also flicked his hand, and immediately two guards fell into place beside the cell to escort Jebidiah.

Vonn, Head Guard

Jebidiah found their place just behind one of the guards, following them towards the room. They were undeniably curious as to how this would pan out.

OOC: There was no specific thing that was said about the security cameras, so feel free to be creative.

OOC: Bump!

As a group they all started walking down the cell corridors before getting to some of the more administrative, secure areas. The presence of cameras, check points to proceed forward, and the guard presence grew heavier in these areas. There weren’t many of them, but it was to ensure the security of certain systems and areas. “So tell me Lieutenant, any ideas so far on what happened to our missing prisoner?” One of the gates that they were waiting at buzzed before it opened and let them through. Though before the gate opened, the slight flicker of a barrier field dissipating could be seen to allowing them to continue walking.

“I don’t believe we are looking at an escape.” The Lieutenant shifted their attention over to the Colonel, their eyes reflecting a certain contemplation about them. “I would assume we are viewing some type of abduction. Judging by the arrangement of the single bedsheet, it seems Miss Statin was either forcefully taken from her position, or somehow managed to slip from her bed, at the time of her escape. However, both would have cause a substantial amount of noise, specifically because of the flooring beneath the bed. With that being said, if someone caught her, Colonel.” Jebidiah remarked, “There would have been no noise pollution. Thus, I am leaning towards a kidnapping. By who? I cannot say. Does she have any connections?”

=^=Bov’ar to Gunther. Come in, Colonel.=^=

“Hold.” He said coldly as they stopped at their last checkpoint before being at the security room where they could review. They guards just looked at each other for a moment before the two lead guards turn back around to watch the group as they held their position. He tapped the Starfleet insignia that he had received earlier in response.

=/\= Gunther here Captain, go ahead. =/\=

=^=Gunther, we have a rather intriguing message from an unknown source. I would suggest you hightail your way up here, as soon as possible. Leave the investigation to Major Vonn, I’m sure he can handle it.=^=

Not that he didn’t expect the Captain to reach out while the forensics investigator was there, but the timing couldn’t have been more impeccable. It saved him from answering the Lieutenant right away.

Warden

Captain Bov’ar stared at her screen, rereading the message she had received in the form a communique. Furrowing her eyebrows, she rested back into her chair, concern laden features contorted, slightly.

Bov’ar
CO

“Roger that Captain, Oscar Mike.” His response was short and profession, though if one had the background of the Starfleet Marine Corps the last part was more just habit for him. The ‘Oscar Mike’ response indicated that he was already ‘On the Move’. He turned towards the Lieutenant that they had been escorting towards the security room, “Apologies Lieutenant, I’ll be leaving you here. I can assure you that you’re in good hands with Major Vonn here. He can assist you with any request within reason that doesn’t compromise our protocols. If you’ll excuse me..” He gave a small nod of his head before turning back the way they had just come pausing for a moment before the door behind them buzzed and allowed him through before closing behind him again.

The Lieutenant was about to say something in protest to his departure, but they did not have the time to make any sort of a comment, their attention dragged from the point of the Colonel, back around to look for any sight of the major, to see whether or not they could continue this investigation, or if they would have to be forced into a standstill, by simple terms.

Jebidiah

It took a while to get through the checkpoints again and then out of the prison sector of the ship. If they had received an interesting communication the Captain would most likely be on the bridge .. or possibly in her ready room? He headed in that direction and stepped into the turbo lift. Hmm .. wonder what sort of communication was received? Chances are it’s probably encrypted, but we’ll have to figure out how to deal with that. He scratched his head as he thought, leaning back against the bulkhead of the lift. The moment of relaxation was brief as the turbo lift opened, he pushed himself off the wall with his shoulder blades and stepped on to the bridge, looking for the Captain.

OOC: Splitting this into a bridge thread

Trinity

The Breen stood motionless and silent, facing the forensic scientist. Without a word or gesture, he simply turned and began walking to the Command Center.

Vonn, HG

Bump

Jebidiah sighed to themself, following the man towards the Command Center, prepared for whatever might come across the cameras.. if there was anything at all.

Jebidiah

They arrived at the prison Command Center. Two guards in armor stood on either side and came to attention when Vonn came into view. As the door opened, Vonn’s voice through the helmet said “Bring up the video. Audio playback sync.” and he looked back at Jebidiah. “All feeds and audio from the scene, as well as the surrounding cells and passageways.”

Vonn, Head Guard

One of the NG Guards nodded to him, pulling up the video and audio playback for the scene that occurred not twenty four hours prior to their current state. “Done, sir.”

NG Guard

Jebidiah nodded, keeping a distance to keep from any further complications with the stoic Guard or any of his staff. They were not here to make things any worse than they already were. Standing back, they observed.

Jebidiah

The Computer came back with the video feed form several different cameras, as well as the audio. At approximately 1:34am, that very same morning, a young Guard could be seen patrolling the area, his face shrouded from the camera, beyond a slight sliver of skin that could be seen from the lense of the main hallway’s base camera. He seemed to be a casual guard, making his way towards Myvera’s Cell, as if about ready to relieve the previous guard from his shift. Arriving in silence, he turned to the guard and the following was recorded:

“I can take it from here, Boeing.”

“That won’t be necessary; boss signed me on for a graveyard, don’t think it would be wise to break his orders. You know, in case something goes wrong.”

“I just got information from the Guard that said I would take over. He figured you needed a break, or -quote unquote- your: ‘performance levels would drop to dangerous regions and you wouldn’t be able to do your job properly.’”

“That doesn’t sound like something the Major would say. Not to mention, I just got back from my two weeks of forced time off, because of that surgery. Remember?”

“Maybe That is why he thinks you could use an extra day off.”

“I don’t think so. Do you have anything to prove what he said?”

“Just his word,” there was a sigh. “Well, if you’re not gonna let me help you out that way, at least drink some water. You look exhausted.”

“Nah, it is just really hot in here. I could use the water though, thank you.” He took the water and sipped at it, before his expression changed. “That isn’t-!”

The man clapped his over the head, forcing his elbow down to his neck, where he quickly knocked him unconscious, to keep from his body spasming as badly as it might have before. Turning his head to the camera, for a split second, he rose a laser to it, before it suddenly blurred and went black.

Computer

“Laser technology. He must have put in a receptor at a previous date, or reconfigured the systems to respond to his stimuli.” They remarked, “Could you rewind a bit,” they watched as they did, before asking them to stop. “Do you recognize this man, Vonn?”

It was a mesomorphic man, whose ragged blonde hair was pulling neck into a small bun. His skin was scarred across the lip and the eye, heterochromatic eyes indicating a slight genetic mutation at a point in his development or life. He was of average stature, his build general for a man in his position— or even feigned position.

Jebidiah

OOC: His choice will determine which way the story goes. So it doesn’t matter if he chooses he knows the man, or that he doesn’t. :)

Vonn stood motionless for several moments. “No. But I recognize some of the tactics. Used by Bounty Hunters. Although I am sure some of the specific training is not used solely by those in that profession.”

Vonn, Head Guard

“Perhaps,” Jebidiah agreed. “Are there any records of any new personnel joining the prison within the last two weeks? Anyone that you haven’t personally met, judging by the fact you don’t remotely recognize this man?” They inquired to him.

Jebidiah

The electronic voice said “Absolutely not. All prison staff are rotated on three-month cycle. And all are vetted before they are allowed on board.”

Vonn, Head Guard

“Then maybe he is someone who was a guard before you got here. After all, his knowledge couldn’t have been found on just reading about the schematics of this place.” They thought for a second. “Do you have archives of the previous guards or even previous prisoners? It might be a far fetch, but either this guy is really good at scanning a library, or he had experience on this ship, once before.”

Jebidiah
Forensics

Vonn reached down and tapped a few commands into a nearby terminal. “You now have the personnel records of all past guards. I made it a policy to not employ anyone who had previous experience on the ship. Minimizes familiarity with both the ship and the prisoners.”

Vonn, Head Guard

“Smart move,” Jebidiah commended, as per general politeness. “Is there anyone on your force that has shown any tendencies towards wishing to harm anyone? Anyone who has seemed off, or perhaps a bit more skittish or even far more composed than the others?”

Jebidiah

Vonn replied immediately. “Sergeant Colls. He was removed from duty, and the ship, for… ‘disciplining’… a prisoner. I do not tolerate abuse from my staff, Lieutenant.”

Vonn, Head Guard
