Kitty had finally gotten a brake between her fury’s as XO and her busy family she really found time to sit and enjoy anything anymore. Today she siting near one of the view ports with a side and a good book.

“Commander,” Bov’ar made her way over to the woman, when she caught sight of a familiar face. “I did not expect you to be out so late. Is everything all right?” She asked with natural concern for her partner.

“ just enjoying some down time with out children fighting or wanting to play fifty questions. As much as I love them I need a break every now and then. How about you” Kitty asked with a smile.

“Ah, yes. I can understand where you are coming from,” She smiled. “When Ikra was younger, he was the same way; always wanting to play games until beyond his bedtime, asking questions about everything and anything, pestering about the simplest of things. I must say, however, you do begin to miss it, a bit, when it stops.”

“ I’m sure your right. Now that zero has returned though at lest we can switch off who is watching the kids when. “ kitty said with a smile. “ what are you doing up so late Captain.” She asked with a smile.

“Mm. That is a pretty nice thing, eh?” She smiled over at the woman who clearly cared for her children. Which, she completely understood the devotion to one’s offspring. “Me? Oh.. you know the general stresses. With Ikra ill, I’ve had to stay up with him. He’s in a pretty deep sleep now, so I figured I’d come get some coffee. Does that make me a bad mother, leaving him alone right now?” She asked, concerned. Kitty had been a mother longer than she had, and Bov’ar was trying to get the hang of it.

“ is what he has contagious? No your not a bad mother if you need a break and he’s not contagious I can look after him for a little bit. I know how hard it is to be a single parent” kitty said with concern. She understood the stress of a sick child she had had been though that plenty of times with her four children. It was necessary for parents to get a break from there children every now and then it helped keep them sane.

“He is not contagious. It is just a product of hos stomach issues, which he unfortunately got from me.” She chuckled, softly. Although, she did feel bad that her son had to suffer from the same gastrointestinal problems she had to, for a rather long time. A soft sigh escaped her lips, “You already have four munchkins to look after, I wouldn’t wish to add to your stress.”

“ I understand that feeling” Kitty giggled and shook her head” he could not possibly be that hard to manage. Besides I have not got to do anything with medical in some time it would be a welcome change of routine.” Kitty said with a smile. Kitty loved children she also loved mediation. She did not know why she had give up CMO of XO. There were many days that she wished To go back to treat cases of the common cold.

Bov’ar sighed. The truth was, she was fearful to put her son in another’s care. She had been forcibly absent for so much of his life, and now she feared anyone else stepping up to care for him. It was illogical and she hated it, but it was how she felt, “Maybe it would be best if you took a look at him..”

“Bring him by my office anytime you like tomorrow. I know a few tricks that most doctors don’t think of usually.” Kitty said with a smile she know a few home remedies that worked wonders for upset stomachs.

Bov’ar only nodded, pressing her fingers to her temples, where she closed her eyes for a few seconds. She hated to see her son ill, despite knowing that he did have a gastrointestinal disorder that caused such pain in him.

Marco had entered the room a small bit ago to grab a little something to eat. He had noticed the CO and XO off towards one of the windows laughing about something. He hadn’t really met the XO yet and thought it would be good to say hi, but it was difficult for him to time a spot that would be good to interrupt them in their conversation. The conversation seemed to dial down a bit and he already had an order in for a simple turkey and swiss sandwich so he decided to just walk over with his glass of water.
“Good evening ladies.” He gave a small nod to the Captain, followed by the XO. “Pretty late in the evening from what I can tell.. something keeping you up?” The Colonel seemed like he was oddly awake for the current hour.

“Good evening, Colonel.” Bov’ar returned, but did not answer the question, falling into a silence.

“Taking a break from are busy lives why are you up so late?” Kitty asked with a smile.

“Just mixing things up a bit, haven’t seen how the late shifts run so I thought I’d monitor how the guards do to ensure no gaps in security..” He interrupted himself, “Actually, I don’t believe that we’ve had the pleasure of meeting yet by the way.” He held his hand out towards the Lieutenant Command. “Colonel Gunther, ma’am. The new Warden aboard the USS Swift.”

“ I’m kitty it’s nice to meet you Colonel” she said shaking his hand. “ I’m sorry about that I usually would have called you into my office for an interrogation by now. Between my regular duty’s and four children I probably missed the memo in a pile of paperwork” kitty said with a smile. The XO could be a bit disorganized but she usually got her job done right and on time. This unfortunately was one of those rare occasions she missed something.

Silently, she listened to the interaction between the two, but did not bother to interject into their discussion.

The Colonel warmly shook the Lieutenant Commander’s hand. If they’re anything like young Ikra, I’m sure they’re definitely a handful!” He laughed lightly, “Speaking of which .. I haven’t seen much of him as of late?” It was at that time where he noticed the Captain massaging her temples. “Are you alright there Cap’n? You look a bit stressed out ..?” He understood what the stress of command could be and even in the best of situations, one could easily be overburdened. At least that’s what he figured it was at the current moment.

Kitty smiled at the captain she know that look but was not going to draw attention to it in frunt of a lower ranking officer.

Bo’var rose her head from where she had been glancing down at her coffee.. Which was truly the only reason she was still on her game, at this hour of the night. When she heard her name, she seemed surprised for a few seconds. “Oh.. Just the demands from the Command, being a mother, all that good stuff.” She offered a smile, waving her hand. “I will be fine, Gunther. Don’t you worry,” She winked at the officer who held essentially the same rank as her, even if she was the commanding officer of the ship. “Speaking of Ikra, you should be seeing more of him, soon. He is just having some stomach issues.”

Kittys four Children came running into 10 Forward Chasing after a white Wolf they all were yelling “mommy mommy look who is back” Zero was in the door way watching them.

Kitty smiled and shook her head. “ speaking of children” kitty said with a smile. She turned her attention to zero “well at lest they are leaving Pan alone. Well Zero don’t just stand there “ kitty said.

Zero walked across 10 Forword and took his wife in his arms and hugged her. “ I was just in my old office it feels good to be back dos this captain know about the Panic room under the Bridge or any of my old Security Programs if we lose power to the holding cells”

Kitty hugged him.” Why don’t you aske her.” kitty said unhelpfuly. The children started playing tag. “ why is it that are children only play normal games when your here but when your not here they entertain themselves by Taking things apart” she said giggling. She was happy that his kids were not finding trouble for once.

Zero’s eyes focused on the CO for a few mins then he looked at kitty. “ I know this is going to be hard for you to hear but HE Escaped again”

Kitty stepped away from him” who escaped” kitty said. She then turned her attention to the CO.

“ captain dose your head hurt” she asked. The pulled her medical trycorder from her poket and startedted to scan the captain.

The Captain waved her hand, but had not the energy to deny that her head was throwing a party she hadn’t allowed for.

Scans would simply show she was dealing with a fat tension headache. Likely from strain and stress.

Zero looked at her as she scanned the CO “Prisoner-Zero” he said “ he escaped from the Vega penal colony 3 days ago with a few Prisoners three Klingons and two Romulans They hijacked a Klingon Bird of pray” then he looked up to the CO this info has been sent to you also sir”

“I will look into the information, Lieutenant. But unless the prisoner is causing any direct harm to this ship, he is not our concern. We already have enough to deal with.”
