Following their depature from the Docking bay, the female Intelligence guard and her lackeys walked swiftly through the ship. Dressed in what was clearly Intelligence Uniform, they ignored the stares the received from the passing crew. Walking with purpose, towards where they knew the bridge to be based off the ship scematics. They ought to find the Captain there. Ordinarily they would have just left the ship and left their boss to send the Captain a transmission once they had departed, but the information they had was too sensitive. With a threat like Irakli ‘The Bear’ Davis looming over their heads, they could afford to take no risks.

Strolling into the bridge, they paused just inside the door, taking note of their surroundings, “Which one of you is the Captain of this vessal?” The female guard questioned, stepping forward, “We must confer with her immediately,”

OOC: I’m going to toy around with these guards for a moment. Lol

IC:
Taking a stand, an apparently young man glanced over at the guards, an air of skepticism dancing across his crystalline blue eyes. For a second, he studied them, uncertain of their affiliation and purpose on the bridge. He did not trust anyone barging onto the bridge, asking for one of his superiors without any prewarning. “About what?” The junior Lieutenant demanded, as if he had the right to know. He was still new to having the Conn, and it had given him a greater confidence than any experienced Conn officer. Folding his arms, O’Reilly watched them.

Cocky Conn Officer

OOC: Go for it lol.

IC: The female guard, and apparent leader of the group gave the junior Lieutenant a dismissve one over, “Classified,” she said shortly, wondering what idiotic junior officer would think he could demand answers of Intelligence agents. “Your Captain?” she addressed the room, feeling frusterated that they couldn’t just get this over and done with. They’d already screwed up one part of their mission, now she wanted no delays before they could leave and head back to Intelligence and await whatever punishment they would recieve for their near failure.

The Lieutenant visibly rolled his eyes, but tried to hide it by glancing down at one of the PaDDs close to him. He was indignant in the matter that they wouldn’t give him any information. He was the one currently in command, didn’t that warrant him at least am explanation? Opening his mouth to speak, he was cut off by an older Lieutenant, who seemed to have a better sense of what he was doing.

“Captain Bov’ar is currently with Engineering. If you wait in her ready room, we’ll notify her of your need to speak with her.” NLt. Tessark piped up, gesturing to the ready room with a large, striped blue hand.

“Thank you, Lieutenant,” the female guard said nodding curtly. The guards marched into the room that had been pointed out to them and made themselves at home while they waited for the Captain to arrive. The doors sliding neatly shut behind them.

An immature NE snickered “Did you see how beat up they looked?” he whispered none too subtly to the person next to him, “No wonder she was such a stick,”

Intelligence Guards

“Really, Ensign?” Tessark rose an eyebrow over at the younger man, shaking his head in disapproval.

“He isn’t wrong though,” Another Ensign popped up, shrugging before she returned to her work, having no desire to risk getting in trouble.

The Captain was preoccupied by the warp coils, listening to the chief engineer as he explained what his plans were. In the midst of their conversation, she was cut off by an incoming comm from the bridge.

=^=Bridge to Captain Bov’ar, you have Intelligence Guards waiting in your ready room. They seemed to be in urgent need to speak with you.=^=

=^=On my way, Bridge.=^= Bov’ar stifled a sigh, raising an eyebrow over at the Irish CE, who offered only the faintest roll of his eyes.

“I apologise about this, Byrne.” Akarel shook her head, clapping his shoulder as she passed. “One day, we’ll be able to finish a discussion without interruption.”

“Been here three years, Cap. It hasn’t happened yet,” Byrne retorted, shaking his head in contradiction to the mirth in his eyes.

“Ye of little faith,” Akarel smirked, departing from main engineering. It took her a few minutes to return to the bridge, where she allowed her gaze to sweep over the officers before heading to her ready room. Stepping inside, the ex-Marine straightened her uniform.

“What can I do for you?” She inquired, her voice lacking its previous amicability.

At the Captain’s arrival the three guards stood almost as if they were one, “Captain Bov’ar,” the leader said with a respectful dip of her head, “Lieutenant Commander Tral. We’re here to discuss your most recent prisoner.” She with a slight sharp infliction to her words. There were no pleasentries exchanged or a polite apology for pulling Bo’var away from whatever it was that she had been occupied with. They were eager to get down to business and back to base as quickly as they could with no further delays.

“One could have figured,” Bov’ar returned, gesturing towards their seats. “Have a seat. Unfortunately, I don’t have much time to sit around mingling about the Swift’s prisoners. Thus, I should hope this is quick.” Rounding the desk, Akarel did not bother in sitting down. Resting the palms of her hands against the table, she met their gazes. “What Intel do you have on Mister Stavros?” She inquired, quick to get to the point.

Almost robotically the two male guards sat down. The female guard was much slower in her decent and she maintained eye contact with Bov’ar as she did. Once she was firmly seated one of the two males a Trill officer, pulled out a small device containing a button. He placed the device firmly on the table, and placed his fore-finger over it, until the device began to pulse a light blue. He released his finger, triggering the device which emitted a nearly invisible dome that surrounded the four people. Bov’ar would feel next to nothing as the dome passed through her, the only indication of it’s being there, being a small flicker of the same blue in her peripheral, although if she turned to look at it straight on the blue would appear to not be there. “Apologies, Captain, but we can never be too careful,” Tral said shortly.

Quirking an eyebrow, Bov’ar waved a lithe, scarred hand in dismissal to her apology.

Trying to be a little more helpful the male Trill officer piped up, “It’s a dampening field of sorts, we call it the Cone of Silence. When activated it emits a beam that destorts any signal in it’s radius. It’s designed to render any transmitting devices useless temporarily. When I take the device offline all devices will return to functioning within their normal parameters.” Satasfied with that explaination he leaned back in his chair, artfully dodging eye contact with Tral.

“I have seen similar devices used during my time with the Marines.” Bov’ar dismissed, brushing away the acute curiosity that threatened to spill across her features. Although, the Captain knew better than to allow anyone to see what she was thinking. “And, about the prisoner?” Akarel did not fancy wasting time, especially not in situations regarding some of her more.. dangerous residents of the Swift.

“Mister… Stavros is not a man to be underestimated. He is cunning and resiliant. He will fight even when the odds are stacked against him. A lesson my team has had to learn the hard way,” and here her cheeks adopted a faint hint of pink, “There was an altercation. He took us by surprise, and although we quickly brought him back under control it is still unacceptable that he was able to take down 5 trained Intelligence agents so easily.”

Leaning forwards, Bov’ar clasped her hands together, pressing them against the face of her desk. It was a sign of her acknowledgement to Tral’s explanation, but also an implication for Tral to get to the point.

Her lips tightened, “I am telling you this because I got the distinct impression Mr Stavros could have taken down another 3 agents on top of that with the same ease he took down the 5 agents,” Although she had already told the Captain the 5 agents were her transport team, she loathed admitting to her own failure, and so she maintained a neutrality towards them in her speech, as if 3 of those 5 were not currently standing in that room. “He has been in several prison institutions both Federation and non Federation, escaped almost all of them. He has a partner who’s only been caught when it has suited him, the pair of them consider themselves somewhat above the law. Vigilanties of sorts. His partner fancies himself the people’s man. He is the larger threat of the two.”

“A man of the people is a man skillfully guarded.” She offered, indicating Stavros’ partner’s logic in gaining the support of civillians resulted in a nearly impenetrable shield, which would effectively protect him from any outside intrusion. Bov’ar never liked vigilanties, finding their manipulation of the law to be a rather ineffectual approach to gaining sufficient power.. despite the obvious pull these vigilanties had on the people they were surrounded by. Simply, Bov’ar had never been a woman of the shadows, and did not condone operating within them.

She paused, and her eyes studied Bov’ar’s face to watch her reaction “Have you ever heard of a man called Irakli Davis otherwise known as The Bear?” If the Captain had heard anything about The Bear she would know The Bear had made many enemies, but he also had many fans. Tral hadn’t meet the man herself but she’d spoken to those who had, and she’d heard rumours. The Bear had a way of making people like him, especially ordinary people. He’d earned the title The Bear beacuse of his great size and strength. He had a moral code, and he stuck to it with honour and believed that it was above anyone elses. He’d interferred in other cultures, conspired with enemies of the Federation, started revolutions, but he’d also done a lot of good as well. From what Tral had heard, he’d helped rebuild colonies, aided the Intelligence and Starfleet on all kinds, and caught some of the most notorious and evasive criminals in the galexy. It was part of what made him so dangerous, because he had done so much good, people were willing to look the other way because they owed him, or supported his supposed cause. He was an invaluable asset and a formidable foe. What the Captain said and did next would tell the guards a lot.

Intelligence Guards

“Yes. He is quite the impeccable villain, if you would. He has been the architect of his own law, a code he sticks rather close to.” It was difficult to tell if Bov’ar was impressed by The Bear, or whether she was satirising him by her feigned praise of his methods. “He has surrounded himself in a great deal of supporters, and a great deal of competition.” Tapping her fingers against the table, she straightened her stance. “Are you implying this man is Mister Stavros’ partner?”

Captn. Bov’ar
CO

Tral gave a sharp nod. Her apprisal of Bov’ar seemingly deeming her worthy of the knowledge. “Many people forget, but The Bear has a partner a certain Agamemnon Vernon who you are aquainted with as Mister Stavros. Apparently they go back to childhood. According to what we have uncovered Stavros was a common thief, The Bear’s mother saved him from prison even though he had been caught with her jewlery in his pockets. She had him sent to the Martial Arts Acadamy where The Bear was studying and by all accounts the two have been inspearable ever since.” She held out a hand to the man on her left who placed a PADD in it on cue. She typed briefly on it and slide it across to the Captain, “That holds all the information we have on both men.” it didn’t hold everything, just what Intelligence had deemed necessary to give to Bov’ar, but it did detail information that had been gathered on how both men operated, their fighting style and the like. “We believe that while Mister Stavros remains in custody, whoever is holding him is under threat of The Bear who will be desperate to release him once he learns of his friends plight.”

The officer gave a cold and (as some might call it) malicious smile, “At this current stage The Bear believes his friend decesed. He was aiding one of our officers who we have come to learn Mister Stavros had intimate relations with, when Mister Stavros was gravely injured. We extracted Stavros and our medical staff attempted to resussitate him unfortuantly he passed away on the table. The Bear and our agent were informed immediately. When he unexpectedly recovered, we saw no reason to correct our error and changed Mister Vernon’s name to Stavros, removing all traces Mister Vernons existance. Once he was well enough we sent him here. For the protection of this ship and this crew it is imperative that Stavros’s true identity is never revealed. Nor can he have contact with anybody off ship, otherwise he will attempt to manipulate them into contacting one of his friends who will get word to The Bear.” She gave Bov’ar a stern look, “For all intense purposes, Agamemnon Vernon and Iolaus Stavros are two separate men.”
