Rylee Amara had time to kill and was allowed an hour in the Cellblock gym so that was where she was at the current moment. She could be found on the bench doing lifts to keep in shape. Though it wasn’t exactly her own private hour so she wouldn’t be surprised if someone else gained time as well in the gym.

Amara, Prisoner

Iolaus rolled his eyes as the guards walked him into the gym and undid the many ridiculous bindings they still insisted on donning him with every time they took him from his cell, despite him not causing any trouble (unless one was to count being obnoxious and annoying as trouble). As soon as he was released, two of his guards made a point of going and standing each side of the door. Turning from them, a smirk twitched at the corner of his lips as he contemplated the idea of staging a prison break, just for something to ease the boredom of sitting in his cell with nothing to do all day… and he, he should happen to gain access to a communicator he wasn’t going to be one to complain.

His eyes surveyed the room he spotted Amara but kept his eyes moving as if he hadn’t. The only sign that he had indeed spotted her was the smirk that twitched over his lips. He hadn’t earnt the privilege to ‘interact’ with other prisoners yet, and the guards had instructed him to keep his distance from any other prisoner that happened to have their hour in the gym. Just to tease them though, he strolled straight past Amara’s bench, slowing his speed as he went past her, all the while whistling the tune of ‘drunken prisoner’ to himself.

Stavros, Prisoner

Amara, however, did have the privilege to speak with others, not that she had any intention of speaking to this prisoner, considering he did not have that privilege. She did notice him but concentrated on lifting her weights still. She wondered just how long it would be before he started to talk to her.

Amara, Prisoner

Iolaus worked on the punching bags for several mintues. He wasn’t interested in the weighs or the majority of the other pieces of equipment in the gym. Most of them he had a subsitute that he could do in his own cell, it seemed pointless that to do activities in his free time he could easily do a variation of in his cell. Besides, back when he was Agamemnon he’d been constantly on the move, and when him and Ira were stuck on a strange planet they had worked out with traditional moves, Ira even using Iolaus as weights when he was bored. The only thing his cell lacked was a sparring partner.

Iolaus was just beginning to break a sweat when he paused in his workout. The punching bag was swinning around like crazy, but Iolaus was bored. There wasn’t much fun in hitting something that didn’t hit back. Leaning back against the wall, his eyes scanned the room again. Many of the prisoners that had been there when he’d first come in were now gone. Surprisingly the prisoner that he’d passed on the way in was still there and he wondered if it would be against the rules for him to ask her to sparr with him. She looked like she was capable, he’d been watching her out of the corner of his eye.

He caught his breath, and spearing the guards a quick glance he sauntered over to Amara, “How do you feel about going a few rounds,” he asked, quirking an eyebrow cockily at her.

Stavros, Prisoner.

The guard said immediately “Prisoner. You will not speak to the other prisoner. If you continue, your exercise privileged will be revoked and you will be returned to your cell. Step away.”

Guard

Iolaus stepped back on the guards order putting his arms either side of his head in surrender, “I was just asking if she wanted to help me with a few moves, but if you volunteer than we can go a few instead?” he said with a fuax-innocence to the guard. However, his eyes remained locked on Amara’s as if he was still waiting for her to respond.

Stavros, Prisoner

The guard didn’t respond. He simply pointed at the spot Stavros had left.

Guard

OOC: Sorry about the late post. I’ve gotten used to my schedule only to get laid low by a cold. I promise I’m almost over it and should be able to respond more easily soon.

IC: Amara watched the exchange, She could stand a few rounds with the newbie prisoner. After all he looked like he could handle his own. She stood and faced the Guard, “Would you mind if I accepted his request?” She asked of the guard, “it will keep him from talking if he’s too busy guarding his face.” She smirked only slightly.

“You’ll have to hit me pretty hard to shut me up sweetheart,” Iolaus winked, grinning from ear to ear at the hope that he might just get his sparring partner after all. He was sorely in need of a good fight. The last one he’d been in was some time ago, back when he’d first come on board. He was well overdue for a fight, and his side where he’d been stabbed was still weak mostly because he’d lost a lot of muscle that would take time to fully recover, until he was once again in his perfect body state. It was healed enough though, that he was confident he’d be able to hold his own in the match he was determind to have.

Stavros, Prisoner

The guard Stepped back and tapped the side of his helmet. He kept his voice low so that neither prisoner could hear his exchange with whomever was on the other end of his communications. A few replies on the guard’s part and then he simply went back to his regular stance.

A few moments later, Major Vonn arrived. The guards came to attention, which Vonn simply took as normal. Stepping into the exercise area, the armored and helmeted Breen walked up to the prisoners and simply stood, hands behind his back. For a moment he didn’t speak, and then the electronic voice broke the silence.

“I have been informed you wish to spar as part of your exercise time. Physical contact is prohibited between prisoners. However, Prisoner Amara has earned certain considerations. At her request, sparring will be allowed. These are the rules. A full search of each of you will be conducted after your exercise time is finished. You will wear protective gear at all times. This is not to be full -contact. Both of you are experienced combatants, I expect you to exercise, not fight. When the guard says stop, you will stop immediately. Any attempt to injure your opponent will result in disciplinary action. Any violation of these rules will result in the revocation of your exercise time. Any failure to comply with guard instructions will be dealt with. Do you both understand these rules and agree to abide by them?” and the helmet swiveled slightly to Stavros. “Yes or no. I do not want any discussion on the matter, Prisoner.”

Vonn, Head Guard

Amara couldn’t help but smile, she liked the head guard Vonn. “I understand, agree and accept your rules.” She said softly but would wait for him to direct them to the protective gear before turning away from him.
