Vonn stepped to the force field and didn’t say a word. After a moment there was a slight nod of the helmet and a wall slid down from the ceiling and locked into place in the floor with a loud clang. The wall was solid, no door, only a small slot about chest high on the average human and a small circular window with a metal shutter on the outside. Opening the shutter, Vonn’s helmeted visage appeared.

“I do not know the length of your incarceration. I do not contact outside agencies, nor do I allow for contact with outside agencies. If you have a special request, you will convey it to either the guard on duty or myself if I am present. The request will be conveyed to the Warden. That is all that is guaranteed, Prisoner. Do you have further questions?”

“Well then I’m screwed aren’t I?” He exclaimed in frusteration, the hoplessness of his situation catching up on him. This place was perfect for making a person disappear. Agamemnon ‘Shorty’ Vernon by all accounts was dead. Stepping between Neive and that knife had seen to that. And out of his cryogenic stasis chamber had risen Iolaus Stavros who’d been immediately smuggled to a prison facility that was so well protected and hidden that Iolaus Stavros may as well be as dead as Agamemnon Vernon. Everyone who ever loved him believed him dead. He was dead. He was a ghost trapped forever in the pits of Tarturus. Unless…

The Prisoner made to turn away, but paused midmovement, before his back was turned. “I just have one last question. Are you really going to file a report against those Intelligence guards? Or were you just saying that to psych them out?”

Stavros
Prisoner

Vonn responded almost immediately. “I already have. Their conduct was questionable, ineffective at keeping their charge - you- detained safely, and jeopardized the safety of my staff.” While the electronic voice was incapable of relaying emotion (or perhaps Vonn was, no one really knew) the stress added to the possessive term of the guards under his command was unmistakable. “I do not take threats or actions against those under my command… or under my supervision… lightly. That is why you will leave here in the same condition you arrived… if you follow the rules. Does that answer your question, Prisoner?”

When had Vonn had the chance to send off a complaint, while he’d been booking Stavros? The Prisoner wondered, if maybe his robot comment hadn’t been so far off after all.”Man I hope I don’t leave in the same condition that I arrived in,” The prisoner joked his hand touching his cheast where Vonn would know was the location of his latest scar. Though some resigned part of him believed he would be leaving in worse condition than he was now. Without a way to contact Jason or Ira he didn’t believe he’d be leaving this ship alive.”I don’t really like being stabbed. It hurts! But yes guard that answers my question,”

Stavros,
Prisoner

Vonn said “You will be seen by Medical next. At some point, you can expect a visit from the Warden. A meal will be brought to you. After that, I recommend you sleep. The lights will dim slightly, but remain on at all times.” and the metal shutter on the small opening clanged shut, leaving Stavros alone.
