Mission Summary

Abstract: The Alliance was sent to establish formal diplomatic relations with the Seetha, following a tribble infestation that led to the establishment of the Antimatter Cafe as the new Ship's Lounge. The mission was, however, sabotaged by a rogue Starfleet Admiral, John Johnson of the Arbuckle Ship Yards. We were able to salavege the mission, and hammer out a shaky treaty and get revenge on Admiral Johnson.

Logs of Fleet Captain William Bligh, CO

Stardate 98081.7
I returned from the New Vegas Command Confrence just i time to find the ship over run by a swarm of tribbles as well as Lt. (j.g.) Hriss's children. Of course, since she had decided to mate with a Klingon, and as an insectoid species she produces many offspring, that means that we are now the proud home of the only "Klingorians" known to exist. Lucky us. So far, the only thing that has managed to calm them down is my acting like I did with my old crews back in 18th Century Britain, with a touch of Klingonese. Meanwhile, Lt. Cmdr. Jacobsen has brightened up ship life by opening a competor to Ten Forward, a new branch of the Antimatter Cafe. No word yet on its menu.

Stardate 98090.1
Some of the tribbles managed to find their way into the medical lab's cross breeding machines, and absorbed some Denebian Slime Devil DNA. A rabid tribble is not a pretty site. Lt. (j.g.) Hriss's kids have been on the hunt for them, after they were eliminated in Engineering. Meanwhile, Lt. Cmdr. Smith has errected forcefields around all non-Starfleet life forms, straining the ship's systems and family ties. I have a thought as to how to deal with the tribbles. It involves tribbles, a phaser, a special sauce, and a very old joke.

Stardate 98090.9
We were able to beam the "normal" tribbles into a store room behind the anti-matter cafe, and have actively begun restarting the Cafe's trademark dish, Tribble a la Phaser. Meanwhile, all but one of the rabid tribbles has been beamed into a holding cell for the time being, however, the remaining one was caught in the antimatter injectors and mutated. Now over 5 feet in diameter, it is roming the halls. And it is hungry. In other news, the Klingorians are loose again.

Stadate 98091.6
We have stopped the tribble infestation, and killed the giant radioactive mutant tribble. The other mad tribbles are in a holding cell. The Klingorians are still loose. Meanwhile, Fleet Admiral Bourdaa has ordered us to establish diplomatic relations with the Seetha, with Maurene Gensen as our first ambassador. Apparently her role in the fiasco on Fortuna VI has been forgotten.

Stardate 98092.2
We have found an intruder on board, disguised as Admiral John Johnson from Wisconson, who is also the Admiral in charge of the Arbuckle Ship Yards. I have contacted Johnson, and it seems that he is part of a group that is trying to sabotage the mission, for reasons yet unknown. It would explain why Maurene Gensen is the first Ambassador to Sith. It's fairly well known that she will fail. We are continuting with the mission for now, and waiting to see what happens.

Stardate 98092.7
We have arrived at the Seetha System, and are being escorted to Sith for our meeting. I expect something to go wrong, but I hope I am wrong instead. We are now inside the Seetha system, so are out of contact with Starfleet. I have ordered all of the Senior Officers to keep their eyes open for whatever or whoever it is that is behind this mission.

Stardate 98092.9
We were led directly into a plasma mine by the Seetha escort ships. Apparently it was a test of some sort. It damaged most of our systems, and knocked out the main computer. We also apparently had a sensor hickup, which made us believe that we were facing a fleet of Romulan ships. We had picked them up before, so it wasn't an accident. Someone sabotaged our sensor systems.

Stardate 98100.1
The Romulan in Sickbay has confessed to sabotaging our systems, cloning the tribbles we faced earlier, as well as starting the silent autodestruct sequence. It was apparently paused by the computer failure, and we were able to deactivate it. He also stated that he was working for or with someone in Starfleet with high level clearance. That would inlcude Johnson. We are continuing towards Sith while effecting repairs.

Stardate 98100.7
We have found that the Klingorians of all beings had sabotaged the computer backup systems, which is what saved the ship. We have finished repairs and arrived at Sith, where we await the arrival of Sith's Dark Lord Slithe and his entorage. Meanwhile, the Klingorians have started a riot in the Cafe, claiming abuse of tribbles. Why half-Klingons want to defend tribbles, I don't know.

Stardate 98101.4
Slithe and his entourage arrived and the confrence began imideately. Unfortunately, so did Gensen's slip ups, which prompted Slithe's aid, Neroon, to shoot her, in accordance with Seetha tradition. We have called for medical assistance, and I have ordered the Seetha off the ship and Neroon arrested. While en route back to the transporter room, Slithe, his guards, and our escort NEs were ambushed by a group of our NEs, holding a grudge.

Stardate 98101.7
Slithe's group made it safely to a shuttle, avoiding the rest of the renegade NEs. Counselor Vassar managed to convince me that this inter-species "misunderstanding" should not be enough to destroy the confrence, so I made a gamble. I killed one of the renegade NEs myself in the shuttle bay, and Slithe and I are now meeting privately in a shuttle between our respective ships. I hope to Sisko this works.

Stardate 98102.6
I have returned from my meeting with Slithe in the shuttle, sucessfully. I have ordered science to round up the NEs responsible for the attack on Slithe, and hope that this can be done without further bloodshed. Meanwhile, I have learned that Ambassador Gensen died of her injuries. I expected as much, as incorporated that into the treaty with Slithe.

Stardate 98110.5
The Romulan prisioner has been coerced into revealing the Admiral John Johnson is indeed the force behind this mission. We will have to deal with him directly upon our return. Fortunately, I was still able to hammer out a basic treaty with Slithe. I hope Johnson doesn't mind. The treaty hands Neroon over to us, and the NEs responsible for the attack on Slithe to the Seetha.

Stardate 98111.0
We have left orbit of Sith and are proceeding back to Federation space. We have one last piece of business to take care of. Admiral John Johnson of the Arbuckle Ship Yards. He's the one responsible for the tribble infestation and the near-failure of this mission. We have a score to settle.

Stadate 98111.7
We forced Admiral Jonson to confess to trying to sabotage the mission, although as he pointed out we did not have enough evidence for a trial. So we parted in good company, and left him his rabid, denebian slime devil-tribbles as a going away present. I do hope he liked them.
