Mission Summary

Abstract: The transportation of a group of Annoyian colonists to their new home was inturupted by an attack by a species of energy beings. Apparently, they were led by former Admiral Ymerej Namdeirf. Namdeirf had been slated to command the Alliance originally, but was kidnapped by the energy beings and turned into one of them, causing him to loose his chance at command. His attempt at revenge was unsucessful, but XO Smith was charged with reckless endangerment for his actions during the mission and issued a formal repremand. A last minute assassination attempt on one of the Annoyians was also thwarted, and the Alliance was upgraded into an Andromeda-class vessel.

Logs of Fleet Captain William Bligh, CO:

Stardate 99041.7
We have been ordered to escort a delegation of Annoyians to Thulus IV. So far, they have lived up to their name. I have instructed Counselor Lockheart to keep them out of my hair, and everyone else's. Lt. Silverstar belives that by engaging in "whining battles" one can win their respect. It's totally rediculous, but makes sense for this bunch.

Stardate 99042.0
Some energy being has contacted the Alliance, via Pavel the tribble. Unfortunately, in doing so, it managed to short out half the systems on the ship. Repairs are under way. We also have to figure out what to do about the energy being, which asked for our help, but to what end we don't know.

Stardate 99042.5
We have drifted into the orbit of a small moon, with accompanying space debris. The energy being seems to have been headed for this moon. I have ordered an away team of Smith, Silverstar, Kelsen, and Guido to investigate. Engines are back online, but deflectors are taking longer.

Stardate 99050.5
Repairs have been completed, and we are assessing the damage. Counselor Lockheart is still attempting to deal with the Annoyians, albeit poorly. The away team to the moon has discovered a small man with grey hair. Species unknown. He seems to have a bad case of the sniffles. What that has to do with anything is still under investigation.

Stardate 99051.6
It has been learned that the alien on the planet is somewhat senile, although has given us the location of the Thukulos system. Unfortunately, the away team is unable to beam back up, due to interference from the orbiting asteriod and dust field. Meanwhile, Command has ordered that we continue on our mission to deliver the Annoyians and retrieve the away team on the way back.

Stardate 99052.9
We have been attacked en route to the Annoyian colony by an unknown force. They have taken control of Main Engineering. We have sealed off that section. For some reason, our shields are not functioning. I will have Andriss flogged later. Meanwhile, the crazy man on the planet has given the away team shelter from the dust storm.

Stardate 99061.6
The semi-corporeal aliens have managed to thwart attempts to retake engineering, and have invaded the bridge. I am therefore ordering a self-destruct. I will not allow my ship to be taken. Meanwhile, the crazy man has turned out to be the first energy being, and has taken the away team captive. They are about to land on the planet's surface, purpose unknown.

Stardate 99062.7
The aliens have halted their attempts to sieze the ship, and are instead trying to convince me to halt the self-destruct. They have not yet given any reason, but apparently want to take it intact. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to us but knownst to the away team, they have been taken to the lead energy-being, who has turned out to be Admiral Ymerej Namdeirf. He was slated to be captain of the Alliance before he was infected with something and turned into an energy-being, going AWOL in the process. He apparently wants "his" ship back, although we on the ship don't know that yet.

Stardate 99071.1
Despite the somewhat reckless actions of Cmdr. Smith, CSO Dante Silverstar has managed to talk Admiral Namdeirf down. He has allowed them to contact the ship. Meanwhile, the energybeings on the ship seem to have simultaneously vanished. Whether this is due to Silverstar's intervention or the weirdness of the engineering and security crews in Main Engineering is unknown. We are attempting to assertain the situation.

Stardate 99071.9
The energy beings have indeed departed, and we have deactivated the autodestruct. At a call from Silverstar we returned to the planet to pick up the away team, who are in pretty bad shape. Meanwhile, the Annoyians seem to have come out of the woodwork.

Stardate 99072.7
The away team is on board and is being treated. Silverstar has made a full report into Cmdr. Smith's actions on the surface, and pending a further investigation I have ordered him removed from duty and Lt. Cmdr. Mardall made aXO. A formal Inquiry Board will be convined as soon as possible. Meanwhile, we have contacted the surface to speak with what is left of Admiral Namdeirf.

Stardate 99080.3
My conversation with former Admiral Ymerej Namdeirf was fortunatley uneventful. He will be remaining with the S'som, the energy beings, and apparently will not be bothering us again. We hope. We are licking our wounds as we prepare to finish delivering the Annoyians to their new colony, but something seems amiss in their ranks. I don't know what Counselor Lockheart is doing, but I hope he does.

Stardate 99082.2
We have deposited the Annoyians on their new colony world along with their adopted leader, a mutated, three-headed NE, and high tailed it away before they could notice. Upon returning to DS20 for repairs, Cmdr. Smith was taken into custody for killing Ensign Guido and a general hearing is expected to begin shortly. All other crew are presently on shore leave, with permission to take in the station.

Stardate 99090.9
Cmdr. Smith has been issused a formal repremand for his actions on the planet. He has been cleared to return to duty, although I'm not sure I fully trust him any more. We have discovered an intruder on board, one who has set off a diversionary bomb in sector 9. Medical and Damage Control teams are responding. We are still searching for the intruder.

Stardate 99091.6
The Intruder has attacked an Annoyian who stowed away in the Captain's quarters. Security will be flogged for this mishap later. The Annoyian has escaped, and the intruder is trapped in the section with Bligh and Counselor Lockheart. A second bomb was also located and disarmed.

Stardate 99092.2
The Intruder was cornered in Engineering with Lt. Cmdr. Laimy Wu as a hostage. He apparently took his own life, after injuring Wu and killing some NEs in a last ditch effort. We should be getting a new mission as soon as the minor damage is cleaned up.

Stardate 99092.5
Flag Admiral Spurlin has promoted me to Commodore, much to my surprise. Equally surprising, we were instructed to be upgraded to an Andromeda-class vessel. Both have been done. The new-and-improved Alliance awaits its next mission.
