Mission Summary

The Oly is sent to Argos System near Cardassian space. Upon orbiting the first planet they find it is a very temperate water planet. They are here to study the movement of the teutonic plates to help other Federation colonies with same difficulties. Planet is thought to be uninhabited. The Oly chooses to send down modiified probes. The Engineering crew begins to modify two shuttles into a submarines.Two teams are sent down to one of the islands where a habitat and dock are started. One crewmember suddenly vanishes so 1st team is split in pairs to find missing crewman. Finally a signal was found that the missing crewman was below the ocean with alien lifesigns. A team was sent in the submursible shuttle to go get him. The rest of the teams stayed to work on the module and dock completion. First contact is made between the shuttle and the missing crewman returning to the surface with one of the water aliens, the Argosians. First contact is begun. The Oly crew will complete the building of habitat and dock and then will leave for a dedicated First Contact ship to continue where they have left off.
