Mission Summary

Stardate 01120.5
Starfleet has ordered us to investigate an unknown vessel that has entered Federation space recently. So far we know nothing of it, save that it is of unknown configuration and not responding to hails. All departments are to be on alert, just in case.

Stardate 02010.4
Ship's Log, Captain Stoek commanding. I was just assigned here, replacing Commodore William Bligh who has been reassigned as Director of Beta Quadrant Strategic Operations back on Earth. So far the ship and crew appear to be adequate. We are approaching the unknown object, which has just fired on a nearby freighter. We have gone to Red Alert.

Stardate 02011.1
The unknown vessel has destroyed the freighter, which apparently dropped its own shields. The vessel then turned on us, and fired a "scrambling" weapon of some sort. All crew have shifted such that their minds are now in the body of another nearby officer. We are attempting to sort out the situation.

Stardate 02012.3
The vessel has fired its scrambling weapon again, and the crew has been reshuffled a second time. It now appears that people who are not in the presence of others are unaffected by the weapon. We have also managed to ascertain the frequency of the energy beam, so it may be possible to block further strikes if needed.

Stardate 02021.4
We have been able to determine that the alien vessel possesses a habitable interior as well as a breathable atmosphere. A probe, transported into the vessel, met with no resistance. An away team has been sent over to the vessel to learn more in the hopes of determining it's intent and reversing its effect on our mental position.

Stardate 02033.0
The away team has managed to determine that the alien vessel is in fact an arc of some sort from a long-dead world. The body swapping weapon was, it seems, originally intended so that the planet's leaders could swap themselves into cryogenically frozen younger bodies as they aged. Sabotage caused it to go astray. The away team is attempting to determine if the ship's systems can be used to restore the crew to their natural bodies, while the science department is attempting to determine a pattern to the swaps.

Stardate 02041.0
The away team has confirmed that the alien vessel's systems can be used to swap individual people, however, such a process would take a considerable amount of time given the apparent power requirements. We are exploring that possibility as well as others. Meanwhile, the away team has also awakened a live member of the ship's original crew.

Stardate 02042.7
Lt. T'Dae has discovered a chamber on the Camden vessel that contains a number of glowing spheres. Upon touching one she, apparently, experienced a pleasureful sensation, prompting her to adjust a switch and do it again. Apparently her mind has now been swapped with that in the sphere, that of one of the Elders of the Camden vessel. The possessed T'Dae/Elder attempted to force doctor Tojikomeru (and his current body) to undergo a similar process, but he resisted. The revived member of the crew, B'lin, and the Elder were en route to the transferrance chamber when the away team requested the Alliance transport them to the Brig. We are attempting to sort out the problem.

Stardate 02051.5
The Elder in T'Dae's body assassinated B'lin in order to escape from the brig cell by shorting out the forcefield. I attempted to intervene, but the Elder tried to transfer himself into Ensign Trillian's body, which I was inhabiting. Commander Smith was able to interfere with the process just as we were all transported back to the alien vessel, leaving the minds of both the Elder and myself in Trillian's body. I was able to use the storage receptacle to transfer the Elder back into a storage pod and T'Dae out, and then mind meld with her body to restore it to its proper location. The rest of the crew has been restored to their proper bodies, and we are en route to Outpost 50.

Stardate 02062.2
We have docked at Outpost 50 and are taking on new crew. In addition, we have also been refitted into a Viking-class vessel. Fascinating how quickly such changes can take place.
