Edict #1
Reposting due to a minor error in the original...annnnd third times the charm!
Greetings everyone for my first edict for this coming term is as usual the cabinet positions. It was a hard fought event for all involved with much bloodshed, tears, and epic arena combat! So the winners for this terms cabinet are as follows!
Bob Spicer is hereby appointed as Academy Commandant;
Sam Bibb is hereby appointed as Personnel Director;
Nick Villareal is hereby appointed as Engineer Director;
Krys McLean is hereby appointed as GameMaster Director;
TJ Morgan is hereby retained as Commander, FComm 1;
Jeremy DeSpain is hereby appointed as Commander, FComm 3;
Steven Sigle is hereby appointed as Commander, FComm 5;
Julia Hager is hereby retained as Commander, FComm 6;
Rob Jones is hereby appointed as Commander, FComm 8;
Amber DeSadier is retained in MAC and Rob Jones in the Ten Forward Lounge.
Krys and I sincerely wish to thank Daniel Lerner for his stellar work in the Academy and it is no reflection on him for bringing Bob in but instead the widening of the experience pool of the upper echelons of the Academy.
We want to thank Lindsay Bayes and all the all the past FComms for the wonderful work they put into their Department and Fleets this past term. Without all of you this club would not be where it is after 25 years of dedication by the extensive volunteer work of people like you.

Edict #2
Krys and I would like to see to a well earned promotion which has been long overdue these past several terms. Joe P since his last promotion has continually worked hard in managing xfleet, worked tirelessly on EGO until the end of this last term, he has been the club's Librarian and has worked hard to ensure new documents are placed in the library in a timely fashion. He continues to be the CO of the club's only fast paced ship. Based on suggestions given by others TECH in its current form would not be possible without Joe's help. He spent years being a writer and sounding board with Thomas. Joe rarely has ever requested recognition for his hard work and is a true powerhouse within the club.
It with these reasons in mind that Krys and I hereby promote Joe P to the club rank of Rear Admiral. Congratulations Joe P!

Edict #13
'Decommissioning a Role-Playing Area shall be considered the last resort when dealing with an environment that no longer meets the required critera. Before decommissioning an Area, reasonable effort by the Fleet Commander and by the Area Commanding Officer must be made to restore the environment. This may include (but is not required to, nor limited to) public discussion, advertisement in the Personnel Department, or replacement of the Area's Commanding Officer.'
As FComm states decommissioning a ship should be a last resort solution. Krys and I were honestly considering decommissioning the Ulysses but a rather large group of STFers have come forward wishing to have the chance to see if she can be relaunched. Since they have in just under 12 hours found a large enough group to staff the ship fully we are going to give them that chance. The Ulysses has a long history from being the Crusader, Seraph and Kearsage and it would be a crime to decommission the ship if enough people want to try and keep her going.
As such as agreed upon between the Fleet 5 and 1 FComms the USS Ulysses is going to renamed, reclassed and moved to Fleet 1 where a very strong FComm pair wish to have the chance in assisting in her rehabilitation.
Captain Brady McGuinn is hereby given the CO spot of the new ship USS Manhattan 88000 of the Manhattan class and the Tech Department is asked to rename, reclass and move the ship to Fleet 1 as soon as possible.

Edict #26
So onto those presidential commendations I mentioned! To save myself time and posting space, I'm going to do them all in one go!
====
First up I want to give a huge commendation to Joe P for his hard work and service this past term. Joe I know I made a mistake by being somewhat pushy in getting you to do xfleet's review, for that I'm sorry. But you did an excellent job in that role, as well as covering as the xfleet director at the same time. Further you have seem to put in alot of work over the past term with TECH in building up the new site, as well as handling some other current back end work. For that I commend and thank you gratefully from the bottom of my little cockroach heart!
====
Next up I want to give another huge commendation to Cale Reilly, I know your tour as FComm 1 in Foremost fleet this term hasn't always been easy. But you've helped me make some rough calls and gave me some great advice at times whether you know it or not. For your hard work in the Foremost fleet, and keeping things running so smoothly may you always consider it a home for you within the club. And thank you for all your efforts now and in the future.
====
Next I want to commend Amber DeSadier for her former long time work as the club's MAC, her dedication to quality advertising using the club's facebook, twitter, and google plus pages (we still got that last one don't we?) has been great. She was always quick to post and fix things, as well as moderate posts that once in a rare blue cheese moon came up inappropriate, as well as kept the hostile tones to a minimum. So thank you Amber for your hard work for the club at large!
====
Next, Rob J for his work in ten forward I want to commend him in moderating and providing useful commentary, discussions and updates. You've had in the past term I'd swear more activity there then I've seen there within the past four or five terms combined! That's great work there in my book! I hope you'll keep it up!
====
Next, I want to commend all of EGO this past term, you all helped me and were patient beyond words to me SO much in my learning curve settling in as president. I made some boo boos, some mistakes, and out right screw ups but you all helped me fix or muddle through them when it mattered. So thank you for the support.
====
I want to further commend Daniel Learner for his hard work in building the historical archive of STF's ships and names over our long murky 25 years. Undergoing such a task is without a doubt a huge challenge, to see the first draft of it without so little errors to note was great to see! Thank you for that!
====
Finally its come to my attention through Daniel's hard work that we now have a new longest serving Captain within the club! To that end I want to commend Kenson Koh for his long service on various ships since april 18th 2000. Kudos to you man! Keep up the fine work!
====
To anyone I might have missed in commending I'm sorry for that! But regardless to all members large and small in the public eyes or behind the scenes thank you for all your contributions to this long serving club! Here's to another 25 great years of Star Trek Roleplaying!

Edict #27
For my last edict this term I wanted to do a promotion I think has over time become well deserved, and perhaps this person in the past few years has been overlooked in one way or another. Coming into this term I did my best to watch those in various roles for their contributions to the club, this person has not only this term given much hard work within the club's personnel department but also elsewhere in ten forward and indirectly through the use and inclusion of the club's Star Trek Online fleet. He's almost always around within irc to help out, was quick to reply to new members questions in applications, and from at least two of those new members I actually got a raving email review about 'how friendly our personnel department is in engaging new members who apply'
That person is as you may or not have guessed is one and only Salmon, also known as his real life alter ego Matthew Kleinmann! Matt for your hard work this term and over the past two terms I've seen you work involved in the club. It is my honor to promote you to the club rank of Commodore with all the entitlements there given. Thank you for your service and I hope to see your hard work continue in the future!

Edict #28
Ok I lied! A last minute entry for suggestions for promotion due to their hard work this past term has come to my attention, after consideration I'm agreeing with it. This past term as I've said had its ups and downs in almost all cabinets of the club, but one place it really didn't was the engineering department. Nick V this past term has done an amazing job continuing my tradition of keeping it an open, fun, and fair place to go. Not to mention being a rugged guy for spotting technical errors in submitted designs. In addition he has from word of mouth to me done great work mentoring his AEdir through the ins and outs of the departmental duties. Coupled with passing several designs this term as well as hosting a few worthy discussions it is my honor to grant Nick V a promotion to the club rank of Fleet Captain! With all rights, responsibilities, and access to chaotic mayhem that he is entitled too.
Congrats Nick!
