The Meridian Fleet Report - March 2020

USS Brian A. Olinski

Commanding Officer: Sidney Parker

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: Ship is posting well and R Smith is doing great in the aCO chair. Sim has been a little confusing in which was it was going but I think now it seems to be heading in the direction the GM wanted to get us to.

Spotlight: aCO R Smith has been great. IF he does not grab a captains chair after this stint I will beat him with a wet noodle.

Vacancies: After this sim we need a CMO bad

Executive Officer: R Smith

Crew Posting Level: 5
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: The month of March started out with sluggish posting, but participation has really picked up lately.

Spotlight: Spotlight on Luke Hung, Tyra Scholl, and Sidney who plays the Olinski’s Chief Science Officer Balfor Kolar, Chief Helmsman Miranda Lawrence “Mirri”, and NPC Doctor Doolittle for carrying the sim on their shoulders while the rest of us roam the world in search of toilet paper.

Vacancies: We need a Chief of Security and a Chief Medical Officer.

Gamemaster: No report submitted - Excused

AFComm’s Comments: From my point of view the USS Brian Olinski seems to be doing well and is a stable ship. Hopefully the positions of the Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Security can be filled soon and like with most ships across the club JOs would be nice too.

FComm’s Comments: The Olinski has been going steady, really the ship tends to look after itself pretty well and the crew has posting well in hand. There are a couple of DH spots going here, well worth a look for anyone thinking of branching out into new territory on a unique ship.

USS Chernov

Commanding Officer: Travis Good

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 8
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: We are doing well and keeping ourselves entertained with side SIMs until Rob finds the time to post. We are in the middle of a gypsy camp right now and we’re just attacked by three 10 foot tall werewolves. Well I brought one of my own!

Spotlight: Mwezi for the Excellent side SIM of her homeworld. We are doing a lot of character building.

Vacancies: We need Jo’s in all positions.

Executive Officer: No report submitted - Excused

Gamemaster: Robert Archer

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 6
Overall Ship Health: 6

Sim Overview: Solid if slow and steady posting by the Chernov crew this past month. After returning to the Chernov in a hurry barely avoiding an attack by alien like werewolf pack. The Chernov crew has examined what they found and prepared better returning in full to the surface attempting once more to figure out where the weak warp signature bursts to the north on the planet had come from!

Spotlight:

AFComm’s Comments: Compared to the number of IC posts in February things have slowed down a bit in March. Yet compared to January it’s only a slight drop, so I’m not at all worried. Especially considering that posting regularly is not a top priority for everyone in the club right now (which is more than understandable!). So all things considered the Chernov seems to be doing well.

FComm’s Comments: Slightly slower in March for the Chernov, but that is hardly surprising. I’m still very pleased with the way that the Chernov picked up their activity after a rough patch. JO spots are open here for anyone looking for a Kelvin Timeline experience!

USS Odin

Commanding Officer: Steven Sigle

Crew Posting Level: 7
Senior Staff Posting Level: 7
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: We are boarding the flotilla as we search for the terrorists that have been attacking freighters. New crew have joined to fill the holes we have as we try and find the culprits.

Spotlight:

Vacancies:

Executive Officer: David Shotton

Crew Posting Level: 6
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 6

Ship Status: The Odin has moved steadily in March, she’s always been a steady ship. The crew is posting well, but we really do need to find a Chief Engineer.

Spotlight:

Vacancies: Chief Engineer and all JO positions

Gamemaster: No report submitted - Excused

AFComm’s Comments: The USS Odin continues moving steadily and seems to be doing well. Thus I have no concerns whatsoever. There are a few vacancies and I would love to see them filled; especially the Chief Engineer one.

FComm’s Comments: No concerns with the Odin as no matter what, she keeps trucking on, but if anyone wants a CE spot contact the CO or the XO.

USS Saracen

Commanding Officer: David Shotton

Crew Posting Level: 8
Senior Staff Posting Level: 5
Overall Ship Health: 7

Ship Status: March went extremely well for the Saracen, and we welcome back Mel to the crew after a short break. Our Sim stalled again with a few LOA’s and Awols, but considering events around the world at the moment I am not surprised.

Spotlight: James and Mel, a pair of posting powerhouses for March! Well done and thanks both of you.

Vacancies: CNS and JO’s in all Departments.

Executive Officer: No report submitted - Excused

Gamemaster: No report submitted - Excused

AFComm’s Comments: Everyone on the USS Saracen has gone above and beyond posting-wise. The crew has almost tripled the number of IC posts this months! What a spectacular job! Well done everyone! And hopefully the CNS position can be filled soon, so that the senior staff is complete again, but with James’ character having moved form Counsellor to Chief of Security it’s not like the ship is without a CNS should they need one ;)

FComm’s Comments: The Saracen surprised me this month with close to 160 posts, even while a few people were on LOA’s for a bit. The Sim slowed down but that wasn’t something that surprised me. Well done to James and Mel, It’s fantastic to see the activity these two bring and the way they write their characters.

USS Sentinel

Commanding Officer: No report submitted - Excused

Executive Officer: No report submitted - Excused

Gamemaster: No report submitted - Excused

AFComm’s Comments: With the USS Sentinel having been only just commissioned there isn’t really much to say, other that I’m looking forward to follow the beginnings of this ship. Fair winds and following seas to all of you!

FComm’s Comments: New ship, great MOTD and a crew that is excited about their new stories. I’m looking forward to seeing how they go in April.
