Executive Officer: Janice B.

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Due to the July 4 holiday being celebrated in the USA, we were more relaxed in requirements and AWOLs. Some of our DHs are busy trying to keep up with family celebrations and their duty on the ship. However, it appears most of them have managed to keep up with both the main sim and their own side sim despite a few bumps in the road.

In addition, our CE decided to step down and we’re currently looking for another DH for that position. Anyone interested in it, feel free to contact JoeP and me in discord or in an email.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Currently, our number of JOs hasn’t changed, but most of them still remain active. We currently have positions open in each department and looking to fill those up.

Who is the shining star this month? I decided to highlight a crew member for this month. Luke Hung who plays our favorite Chief Science Officer Steven Marsh. I enjoy the character’s dry wit, serious nature, and overall controlled demeanor. Whenever I interact with him with Avik, it makes me smile as they appear to be on the same page for the most part. Yet, there are some differences because he is willing to bend the rules in his favor rather than follow them to a tee. This was highlighted in the bridge scene when Marsh decided to join the rest of the crew to explore the alien ship they had just hauled into the cargo bay and took note to allow plausible deniability during the examination. It’s one of my favorite scenes.

AFComm’s Comments: I’m curious to see how well the Flagship will do this month

USS Genesis

Commanding Officer: Luke Hung

How is your ship looking overall? The posting is fine, a little slow for the Genesis. Side sims also are slightly down. We have two AWOL and are still short a ‘true’ CSO. We have a couple of sub-specialist in science but a CSO would be a good add.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? The bridge thread is going pretty well. I

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.

AFComm’s Comments: I’m pleased to see 10s all around the board. Keep it up Genny.

USS Merrimack

Commanding Officer: David Fergusson

How is your ship looking overall? The USS Merrimack is looking good overall. The number of posts has picked up, The DH positions have been filled and the Sim is entering into its later stages. We have sent hep to the second lost sleeper ship and are also engaged on a tour of the planet’s facilities. At the moment, I don’t think anyone is AWOL. I think that the Sim’s narrative will become more gripping as we near the end, and expect post levels to improve further.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? I liked this interaction between the CSO and CMO. https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf6/merrimack/posts/142429/ William has been left in Command of the Merrimack while the rest of the crew enjoyed a diplomatic banquet. He is bored, unhappy and he doesn’t like the responsibilities that come with Command. Liz is new to the ship and is an older divorcee, in space for the first time. She is mischievous and playful. William isn’t as dour or severe as he appears. I’m watching how it plays out..

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.I want a crew of thirty characters, none of them ever AWOL, all of them award winning writers, but maybe not next month! For next month, I’d be happy if the gradual improvement seen continues.

AFComm’s Comments: I’ve got full confidence David and his crew will keep this energy going. I’m enjoying reading the main sim.

Oed V

Commanding Officer: James Sinclair

How is your ship looking overall? The colony looks great at first glance. There are a lot of posting numbers. However that comes really from two people, myself and Jennifer Ward. There is a wonderful story concerning a crashed vessel of unknown origin that started off really well, but seems to have slowed. And we did lose a long-time writer with Tyra’s departure, which was unfortunate. But I have received multiple inquiries about new players coming, and we did welcome several new writes last month as well. So overall we are at least maintaining.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? The opening of the Klingon-owned tavern has been a personal favorite. Multiple unrelated characters taking the opportunity to meet and interact has been wonderful.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. We still have some larger influence roles to fill on our roster, and I do want to see more consistent posting from some of our team. We are also looking to see what input we receive from our last probationary review

Executive Officer: Sidney Parker

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Well in Oed its not always DHs but most people are posting and active. There are some interesting sims occurring.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Yes. Citizens roles are participating as are the Starfleet roles. Looking good.

Who is the shining star this month? D Grisham for great writing.

Executive Officer: James Sinclair

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?We had some difficulty this past month. The ship as a whole struggled with regards to the sim despite having a great story arc to follow. The frustration felt by people was reflected in the writing with short posts that seemed to have a few writers on edge (myself included at times). Awols last month did effect the ship in a moderate fashion as well.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?My response to the first question wis also applicable here. I will add that Terry and I have spoken and have a plan that we hope will reignite the ship and get us up and running at full speed soon.

Who is the shining star this month? Hamds down the shining star has been Lt. Petrov, the Chief Engineere, written so perfectly Machiavellian by Sidney Parker. He is manipulative, arrogant, and conniving… and a perfect example of how a character doesn’t have to be ‘nice’ to be fantastic! Sideny walks that fine line between too much and not enough.

AFComm’s Comments: Great job Wolvie. I’m really looking forward to reading a main sim with a full crew compliment

All our COs have been active which as a FComm/AFComm is always great to see.

Unexcused Fleet reports from the Constellation

Shining star ship is Oed. In my opinion they’ve weathered the storm from the new regime under James Sinclair.
