The Foremost Fleet Report - November 2021

USS Ark Angel

Commanding Officer: Robert Archer

How is your ship looking overall? Overall the ship is looking good, we recently stumbled into some loa/awols but that i think is more down to the recent time of the year then anything else. We are still looking for a replacement CNS and more JOs but otherwise the current crew is engaged and doing well. In the coming month I plan to move the sim ahead again and there’s already plans in the work from the Ark Angel’s Discord channel to do some fun side sim activities.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)?

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.Getting a CNS and more JOs as well as getting a handle on the sudden loa/awol issues that cropped up.

Executive Officer: Sam Pennington

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? The DHs are keeping busy. The main sim is really kicking off but there are some side sims up pretty consistently.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?JOs seem to be doing very well. They always have something going on.

Who is the shining star this month? Abigail G who writes V’alura Belmont

Gamemaster: Robert Archer

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The Ark Angel’s sim moves ahead, with an away team being sent by shuttle to the SS Synthesis to study up close and personal a potential problem of time dilation effects. As well as assess the ship and its old crew for any other issues. Meanwhile for those remaining behind more studies in depth are being set up for studying the Barrens and what is going on with the SS Synthesis.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?

FComm’s Comments: Just now taking over, AA looks healthy and stable.

USS Asimov

Commanding Officer: Sam Pennington

How is your ship looking overall? The ship looks good! We have a couple pesky awols but this time of year especially things tend to slow down. We’re planning holiday events and keeping the sim rolling.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? There’s an ongoing thread between Si’Rek and the XO, I’m very much enjoying it. https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf1/asimov/posts/157077/

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.I would like to keep us at a reasonable level of activity even through the holiday if at all possible. And I’d like to see more side sims.

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: James Sinclair

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The Asimov has been tasked with inserting a covert operative into a clandestine criminal syndicate. To do this, they are going ‘undercover’ and off of Fleet supervision, impersonating pirates and marauders in order to ingratiate their way into the organization. So in order to get ‘lost’, the Asimov is now docked at a ancient Tholian space station in the middle of one of the most dangerous nebulas in the galaxy refitting themselves to take their next step towards becoming criminals and mercenaries.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward? Sam Haynes has been AMAZING in her role as the Chief Engineer. She has kept the station staff hopping and making sure the Asimov looks and works like the part they need her to be.

FComm’s Comments: Just now taking over, Asimov looks healthy and stable.

SS Bonaventure

Commanding Officer: Melissa Aragon

How is your ship looking overall? We’re good. Sim going well and loa/AWOL being handled.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? I think everyone handling the alien in the ship is doing great. So are the ground team in helping save us. Hard to mention one particular moment.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.Need to fill roster, get moving at a bit of a better posting pace. Want to get MOTD up to date and start getting more char developments going.

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: Robert Archer

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The CO is taking their alien guest on a tour of the ship, meanwhile their other alien guest Elm is being interviewed by the XO for more information, and lastly on the planet the landing party is studying the giant alien reactor.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?

AFComm’s Comments: Bonnie looks good, with the new term starting we will be working with ships on their goals

USS Leviathan

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: J Ridgley

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? This month we’ve seen a flux of activity, with the departure of our CO I’ve taken over the anomaly and things are starting to gain traction again. We have several people still engaging in the anomaly and some with their own side character development. The Departments heads have been most active this month and going on into the next month I really want to see them starting to take ownership of their departments which as been somewhat lacking.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? The JO’s I feel have been a little lost with where to go this month, its been a difficult one as mentioned previously. That falls partly to myself as XO nothing doing better at keeping the DHs in shape. There has been an increase in activity and I do believe the JOs are starting to head in the right direction in both the main anomaly and their respective side developments.

Who is the shining star this month? This month my shining star goes to William Deaton who plays the chief engineering officer aboard the Leviathan. As a writer Will is an inspiration to his department and how other DHs should look to when deciding if their doing enough. Will has this month gone above and beyond and despite the rocky period has been a constant writer, not just to keep himself out of the AWOL limits but his posts are lengthy, garnishing great details.

As far as shining stars and role model DHs go WIll is my person.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: It’s been a hard loss for Levi loosing Sharon, but I am sure Matt and Jake will be a great team.

USS Manhattan

Commanding Officer: James Sinclair

How is your ship looking overall? We are steady with our posts, 107 in Oct. and 117 in Nov. Things are very slow as we try and give our GM the space he needs to deal with RL issues. I have been in contact with him and he is still with us, just swamped. In his absence, the crew has lagged slightly but are still mostly active. We had a serious miscue on my part concerning a new crew member coming on board, but I am hoping to work out a position that will let them become an active Manhattan member as soon as possible.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? This thread has been really interesting to write, and highlights some of the isolation that individuals so far from home would experience:

https://www.star-fleet.com/core/stf1/manhattan/posts/158801/

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.AWOL’s in the DH level positions need to be lessened.

Executive Officer: Jennifer Ward

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? Our main sim is on hold while Gene takes a much needed break. The crew is engaging in side sims and creating wonderful characterization. There are a few awols that I would like to see cleared, but with the holidays upon us, they are not unexpected.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? Our JOs are more active than they have been. We have a new helm officer who is very promising with a backstory that I can’t wait to learn more about. Again there are a few awols, in both DHs and JOs, but with the holidays it is expected.

Who is the shining star this month? Lieutenant Junior Grade Jesrix Aevin played by Sam Pennington

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: Manny has slowed down due to the holidays but looks good with few AWOLs and expected LOAs for the holidays.

USS Memorial

Commanding Officer: Kirt Gartner

How is your ship looking overall? We are plugging along we are in the process of making sure that we have everyone posting I still need to work on the MOTD upgrade but otherwise we are fine

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? N/A

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.Get this MOTD upgrade done with :P

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: Sam Pennington

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: A distress call came from a long since abandoned Starfleet base on an icy world called Eridion. The base was abandoned decades earlier but seems to be active again in some way. The memorial has gone to Eridion and found so far no signs of life, but there is a light on at home.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward? Sam Haynes as Maria Beckett.

FComm’s Comments: Just now taking over, Memorial looks healthy and stable for the season.

So Sam and I are just now taking over and this Nov report was sitting in the que waiting. My comments are brief due to not having much of a history with the fleet yet. But the ships seem to be healthy productive role play areas. As the term progresses Sam and I intend to assist the command teams with whatever their goals are.
