USS Challenger

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The Challenger wrapped up her sim on the 23rd of December, just in time for the holiday break. The hope is a new sim will begin shortly after the new year.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward? Too many to name but a huge shout out to Claire M, Jordy Klein, and Stephen O’Dette

FComm’s Comments: Given this report follows the period of the holiday stand down and the hand over take over the period there is very little to report, and I am happy that the non-reported fleet reports are excused. Currently, however, we are looking to refine the evaluation process and speed up the way in which we can recognise a Cadet to graduate to getting them onto ship within the main fleet. The report for January will be far more in-depth however we saw two Cadets Graduate and be posted to the ships;

Something I’ve noted but will continue to monitor was the time in which it took COs to respond to requests of ship placement. I would like to look into the idea of having a live page/document in which CO’s can turn on or Turn off Cadet placements so instead of having to email every CO I can simply look at the list, check role availability and then place. This though only a short delay for a few days to a week in most cases would certainly speed things up.

The ship and thus the fleet itself is healthy and remained active over the reduced posting limit period, it has just concluded its Sim and I have given the approval of the current GM Geoff Joosten to remain if he so chooses and will continue to support Sarah as the Challengers CO. Moving into the new year we hope to see an increase of Cadets graduating.
