The Foremost Fleet Report - December 2021
USS Ark Angel
Commanding Officer: Robert Archer
How is your ship looking overall? Overall the ark angel is doing well, we’ve gotten all our core needs filled, and got two jos in all depts! I’m quite happy with this result. That said we currently do got a few lingering awols/loas from the holiday season still going on so hopefully that’ll ease up as the month goes ahead.
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)?
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.Mainly I want to get the awols/loas resolved, and most importantly get the new players caught up with events in the main sim and get them on board in participating.
Executive Officer: Sam Pennington
How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? We’re coming back from the holidays, but everyone has something they’re involved in and a place in the main sim.
How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? They’re keeping busy in the main and side sims.
Who is the shining star this month? Abigail G (V’alura Belmont) asked some very relevant questions in the main sim, which I think will move us along nicely.
Gamemaster: Robert Archer
Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: Sim wise we sort of ground to a semi-stall this past month. This is due mainly to the holidays and the sudden influx of new players needing to catch up to whats happening in the main sim’s timeline. That said the away team has boarded the Synthesis and made contact with its ship’s captain and crew and are on their way to the engine room to discuss how to best study the oddities ahead of them. Meanwhile on the Ark Angel several side sims are at work including a girl’s night only party in the recreation hall, also present are some side sims developing between various pcs. Oh and also in the main sim bracket, science is studying the strange effects of the Warrens themselves for clues on their current predicament
Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?
FComm’s Comments: The Ark Angel is doing outstanding. She has a full roster with an active crew despite the expected slow down for the holidays. Despite a slow down the crew is active and the sim is still progressing. There is steady interest in the story and I’m sure the few lingering LOAs and AWOLs resolve themselves.
Fleet Award Nominee: Abigail G
USS Asimov
Commanding Officer: Sam Pennington
How is your ship looking overall? The holidays always involve a slowdown, but it didn’t start too early or last too long. The Asimov has all its DHs, but needs more JOs. The sim is ongoing and still very interesting.
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? Bringing in a new CSO, we did a promotion thread that I really enjoyed.
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. I’d like to expand our roster of JOs.
Executive Officer: No report submitted
Gamemaster: No report submitted - exempt
AFComm’s Comments: The holidays have been rough and some of the Asimov crew have had a rough go of it, but it seems things are getting back on track, as expected.
Looking forward to the next leg of the Asimov’s main sim.
XO report: not filed, not exempt
GM report: not filed, exempt on account of Covid.
SS Bonaventure
Commanding Officer: Melissa Aragon
How is your ship looking overall? Not too bad. We had 33 posts in Dec and are hoping to at LEAST double that in the coming month or so.
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? Sim has been going slow. So I don’t have one particular post or moment. Everyone is playing their characters the way they built them so the dynamics over all are amazing all the way around.
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. Posting speed… fill roster (JO holes)
Executive Officer: No report submitted
Gamemaster: Robert Archer
Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: Still on the last seconds of the sim sadly! Landing party is waiting for the go ahead to do .....something with the big power source on the planet at the heart of all their problems, they’ve also found some cryo pods but havent followed up on that lead yet. Ship side the crew are still inquiring for information from their alien officer and civilian from the planet below, while on the bridge some scans on the wars progress and the planet are underway
Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?
FComm’s Comments: The Bonnie is in need of JOs, but has a strong core of writers that love the Enterprise Era of Trek. The holiday has slowed them down some, which is expected. I am sure with people returning the posting numbers will increase. I see no major concerns at this time. The crew is posting to the main sim and engaging and the sim is moving along even if having slowed down for the the holidays.
XO report: not filed, not exempt
USS Leviathan
Commanding Officer: No report submitted
Executive Officer: J Ridgley
How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Considering the holiday season the Leviathans DH have done a good job with keeping both the Main Anomaly and side sims ticking on, by no means was this a particularly active month but considering the circumstance, I am quite happy.
How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? The answers is similar to the above, as always I commend our JOs who are the life source of the ship and always coming up with unique ways to expand the lore of this ship.
Who is the shining star this month? As is a quiet month, given the holiday period I don’t see it fit to really hand the shining star out this month.
Gamemaster: No report submitted
FComm’s Comments: The crew is active and there are no AWOLs at the current time. The Leviathan is known for being an extremely active ship. Numbers were down this month but she is still active and healthy and that speaks to the strength of the crew. I look forward to seeing what Levi does in the new year.
CO report: not filed, not exempt
GM report exempt: self-sim ship
USS Manhattan
Commanding Officer: No report submitted
Executive Officer: Jennifer Ward
How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? The ship has really slowed down for December. The holidays and the end of a rough year for so many has really brought things to a slow tread for the month. I hope that we will find more side sims and creativity returning in the new year. There are a handful of AWOLs but with the relaxed holiday posting still infect for the new few days I’m not concerned.
How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? The JOs are in a bit better shape than the DHs right now. They have been more active during the holidays (more being a relative term), but such is the way of things. Some people find they have more time during the holidays rather than less. We have a great group of writers both in our DHs and JOs and I’m looking forward to seeing their stories continue with the New Year.
Who is the shining star this month? The incredible Lindsay Bayes. She plays both our counselor and our soon to be outgoing counter-intelligence officer. Both of those characters take center stage in this side sim of one writer but two incredible characters. This really exemplifies the abilities of such an incredible writer. Not only the diversity and uniqueness of both characters, but the ability of one writer to stay true to both and express them in a believable and honest real way. I’m really blown away by Lindsay’s ability to create such a complex and engaging story as the writer who knows everything about both her characters, but the characters still have so much to discover. Very well done!

Gamemaster: No report submitted
AFComm’s Comments: The holidays are rough all over, but now that they are over and the relaxed posting limits are gone, it seems things are getting back on track. I’ll be sad to see Lindz go, along with her always-excelling writing and characters. Those will be some big shoes to fill for whoever comes aboard next.
CO report: Not filed, exempt due to Covid
GM report: Not Filed, exempt due to taking a much needed break to recharge
USS Memorial
Commanding Officer: Kirt Gartner
How is your ship looking overall? we have a lot of holes mostly JO and a Swing Position in CNS However this morning 1/6/22 I was informed by my XO that he is stepping down I have already taken all steps to fill the role back up
What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? N/A
Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. Filling holes on the roster Finishing the MOTD Upgrade and getting on with the current sim
Executive Officer: No report submitted - exempt - stepped down
Gamemaster: Sam Pennington
Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: A distress signal has been detected from a long abandoned Starfleet outpost. The Memorial was dispatched to investigate. A team has been sent to investigate the surface and have found the base empty thus far but an outgoing transmission is being blocked.
Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward? Sam Haynes as Maria Beckett, she’s really leading the away team investigation.
AFComm’s Comments: As expected, the holidays have been a speed bump. The XO has stepped down. Please see the main announcements page for information on applying if you are interested.
Hopefully the Memorial will pick back up. Moving forward I hope to see more side-sim activity back on the ship and see if we can’t get some life back in her step.
XO report: Not filed, exempt due to XO stepping down.
Fleet Award Nominee: Sam HaynesOver all the fleet looks good. December is always a hard month and I am hesitant, at the beginning of the term, to be too harsh on anyone. Despite some missing reports (noted above in the report) the COs, XOs, and GMs are active and participating on their ships. I expect that as January and the new year moves forward that the fleet will see an increase in activity and a return to normal posting.
