The Foremost Fleet Report - February 2022

USS Ark Angel

Commanding Officer: Robert Archer

How is your ship looking overall? Overall the past month the Ark Angel has done pretty well! We had a player or two return and another leave. We’ve also made a bit of sim progress though not quite as much as I’d have liked. There has also been a steady off/on supply of side sims going on too

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)?

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. Overall I’d like to see the GM (who I hear is quite oh so handsome, reliable, and inventive!) move the sim along some more

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: Robert Archer

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: Overall the sim made a little progress this month. Not as much as I would have liked though. That said the Synthesis team has been tracking down the strange anomalies on the temporally displaced ship. On the Ark Angel, the remaining crew are studying the Barren regions around them and security is currently investigating some strange happenings on one of the ship’s decks.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?

AFComm’s Comments: The Ark Angel had 145 posts in the last 30 days. And overall is doing well. Roachie, as always, keeps the AA pluggling along with plenty to do, and with engaging sims. As both Captain and GM, the ship is a fine example of the Foremost fleet.

XO report - not filed, not excused.

USS Asimov

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: CO Report missing: Not Exempt
XO Report missing: Not Exempt
GM Report: Exempt due to Real Life

It is slightly concerning that the Asimov is missing all reports this month despite reminders. Asimov had a total of 54 posts for the month. However the crew is active and posting with only two outstanding AWOLs. The CO has put out feelers for side-sim ideas while they await the return of their GM.

No Nominations for Fleet Awards

SS Bonaventure

Commanding Officer: Melissa Aragon

How is your ship looking overall? We are doing well. The sim picked up once more and we are working on pushing ahead.

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? The GM dropping an alien ship out the ‘window’ over the planet now that we are back in our own system.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month. Posting speeds and side sims. We will be working on pushing character development outside the sim in the future.

Executive Officer: No report submitted

Gamemaster: Robert Archer

Summarize the sim plot so far as if you were providing it to a new member joining the ship: The sim is a little bit stalled this past month on the very last edge of finishing. To be honest I had hoped to have it done already, but such is it is with life getting in the way by a few folks. The engineering team on the ship has deciphered that the massive alien structure above the planet is getting ready to burrow into subspace and send some kind of comm signal to parts/people unknown. The command team is in the process of returning their two alien visitors to the war torn planet. Still on the planet is a landing party who are milling about near the abandoned base they had explored previously having returned to the surface.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward?

AFComm’s Comments: Currently the Bonnie sits at 45 IC posts in the last 30 days. Which is not too bad for a slow ship.

The sim details sound interesting, and I share Roaches’ hope to wrap it up soon, as it seems things are heading that way. By what is described, all we need is one final push.

XO report not filed, not excused.

Fleet Award Nominations: Dungeon Master Robert ‘Roach’ Archer

USS Leviathan

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: Nathan Miller

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?Matt and I are entering a rebuilding phase, restarting the sim, and restaffing some of the DH positions. We are happy to bring aboard S Kimmel as CSO and Abigail G as COS and are excited to see what the bring to the ship.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? With ending the sim things are slow but we have been seeing some side-sims in between by the JOs. We will be looking to attract new members of some departments.

Who is the shining star this month?

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: CO Report: Exempt due to illness

GM Report: Exempt due to Self-Sim

The Levi has gone through several changes in the last few months, loosing both her CO and XO, and topping out at 79 posts for the month. I have spoken to Matt and he and Nathan have a clear plan for how they want to move the Levi forward and stabilize her. I was concerned about the number of AWOLs at the end of February, but looking already at her today, those have mostly been resolved. And they have already brought on new players to help fill some of the DH roles that had become vacant as well. With a new strong leadership team and plan in place I am confident Levi will be glorious.

USS Manhattan

Commanding Officer: No report submitted

Executive Officer: Jennifer Ward

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? The DHs are all active in the main sim. We have a few side sims going on back and forth that are full of rich and deep stories. Gene has made an incredible start to our sim that is keeping everyone engaged.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? We are very short on JOs at the moment and are looking for more in any department or interesting swings.

Who is the shining star this month? Chief Warrant Officer Walker Darach our COO played by Steve Johnson, is just really on top of taking care of things and keeping the ship running. Steve has a way of picking out the important details and hints given by Gene (our GM) and digging for more clues. He’s a great member to have on the crew.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

AFComm’s Comments: We had 72 posts in the last 30 days. Overall the ship seems to be healthy and plugging along. Though the MOTD is a little bare, I look forward to hearing about the sim as it progresses. Looking forward to our most esteemed wookiee can bring out four our entertainment and dread this go.

CO - Excused from report
GM - No report filed, not excused.

Fleet Award Nominations: Starship Trooper: Chief Warrant Officer Walker Darach, COO played by Steve Johnson

USS Memorial

Commanding Officer: Kirt Gartner

How is your ship looking overall? We are staying active and healthy looking to fill slots all the time

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? I am starting a major character development arc with my captain character

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.

Executive Officer: Nicholas Villarreal

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?At the moment, the DHs are at least staying out of AWOL and participating in the main sims. Not a lot of side sims, but the posts that are happening are quality.

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims? What JO’s we have are active and engaged at the level expected of them. At the moment, we only have two Security Junior Officers, one of which is relatively new to the ship, so we’re a little light in personnel in that area.

Who is the shining star this month? Given that we’re a slow ship, post counts are always going to be lower than other ships. However, Trinity Fister playing as Counselor Oshekye Aasu joined the ship in February and has been posting steadily in the threads in which she’s been involved since.

Gamemaster: No report submitted

FComm’s Comments: GM Report missing Not Exempt

The Memorial is a slow posting ship, 45 posts for the month, but is active with the DHs engaging in the main sim. There are very few side sims, but that is not in of itself a bad thing as long as everyone is enjoying the main sim and their opportunities to write. They also refelct the quality of the writing rather than focusing on quantity. Memorial is also looking to fill out its roster.

Starship Trooper Nomination: Trinity Fister as Counslor Oshekye Aasu

The fleet over all looks good. Each ship has its struggles but the command teams have plans in place and are working on them. I am concerned that there might be a pattern in who is and is not filing their reports. However the filing of reports does not equate to ship health, and the ships are active and have healthy RP environments. So I am content with the state of the fleet.
